Tiesto can't be beaten, he is a Legend. Armin can't be beaten too. But because i started to listen to this beautiful music since i was 11 years old (now 24), i started by listening Tiesto first. So he is my open door to Trance music :)

@rythmdrums mm pls tell me if armin is the best.. why his most famous song is in and out of love.. instead of Tiesto's last 2 albums.. in every his albums.. he has minimum 2-3 HITS which everyone knows.. :) on his show in cacao beach in Bulgaria he played tiesto's song from his last album.. :)

tiesto is the best! :) armin is just a copycat! :) his parties and music clips etc.. are the same like tiesto but in the period between 2001 and 2007... i cant tell that person who is copying someone is better from the man who start to write the history of trance! :)

Armin has millions of fans all over the world for his great skills in creating trance music,doing remixes,mashups,mixes,compilations;Hosting the greatest Radio shows and most listened on the planet for over 9 years already and beeiong able to make a hell of a live performance all of his fans marking his gigs in history of the greatest nights of their lives ever.

and that DJMag is not a real ranking, i realised that almost every Armin's video has a link to vote for him, and Tiesto has none (his own fault) but what i'm trying to say is that Armin is No. 1 DJ because of commercials

@djklimars In 1999, successful Dutch artists Ferry Corsten and Tiësto joined forces to create the trance partnership of Gouryella. To highlight their importance in the trance scene at the time, there were 20 separate CD releases of the 4 Gouryella tracks from 9 different labels.
Gouryella is known to have released six tracks: Gouryella, Gorella, Walhalla, In Walhalla, Tenshi and Ligaya.

Research was based on Wikipedia, Discjogs, Dj List, Dj Mag and many other DJ & Trancemusic websites, almost all sites where telling the same story about Tiesto. Maybe its time for you to take a look and read some. Tiesto is the main reason that trance became commercial, if Silence, Just be, Traffic, Flight 643, never came out in 2001, trance wasn't populair like today. And your research is based on??
