Punk winning the tag titles will just add to his accolades and will help him look better when he does cash in his MITB contract. Also, to be fair Batista and Rey were tag champions and defended it over the WHC on occasion at PPV, so it's not a HORRIBLE thing.

How is it a shame? Like it or not it's another accolade to fall back on. What should he be doing? He's going over guys now. His booking hasn't been the best but since Mania he has gone over Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy, and others. I feel he needs some more big wins but since he likely isn't even cashing the briefcase in until Mania, he has plenty of time.

Especially considering it looks like Kane/Punk feud will happen. Though not for the title or for the MITB briefcase at the very least.

No JBL vs John Cena was a normal match at Wrestlemania 21 right before the World Heavyweight Championship match with Batista and Triple H. Backlash had Batista vs Triple H and Judgment Day had john Cena vs JBL in a I quit match. Because the storyline has JBl using the old belt and saying he was still champion.
