How come I don't remember my previous life? Is it possible that my spirit was "Injected" in this body only 25 years ago? Why not before, why not later? Will my spirit be injected into another body when this one dies? Will with this body also my spirit die? I have thousands of questions.....If anyone can respond to any of them, well that would most certanly light the things up a bit. Is it worth to be scared of death and is there life beyond it?

I had spontaneous OBEs and it took years till i found these clips, read Monroe and realize i am perfectly normal. An old friend of mine had very intense OBEs for years and since he was a curious soul, he actually visited many places forbidden by governments...He just wanted to see it...But I wonder, if OBEs happen to those who want to rule the planet, wouldnt it be actually a very dangerous thing???Wasnt Monroe institute also open for military members?(or I am wrong)...

My 1st spontaneous OBE happened when i was very stressed and not sleeping for 2 nights. The other set of OBEs happened some years later, during the time of extreme happiness, feeling of love, perfection...But in any of my lifetime between those two states, OBEs do not exist. I read all 3 of his books and they are fantastic! Far journey's is my favorite out of the 3. I stumbled on having obe's in a similiar way. I thought I had tumor or I was going crazy, but after reading his books and doing some intense research all I was doing was expanding my consciousness beyond my body. ye this happens to myself as well except when i pop out of my body i think im still in my body and try to turn on a light, just end up going right through the wall lol. This vibrating or eletro-magnetic field described in the comments are similar if the not the same as those experienced by people who use DMT which would make sense consided the whole effect on the pineal gland (sleep or DMT trip), its crystalized connections to consciousness and the universe for that matter.

Read his book way back in high school in the 70s. Really loved it but certainly didn't have his experiences. This interview really gives me an idea of what kind of a man, Robert Monroe was. Really a good, responsible guy. Not a love and light tripper in the least!

I read Bob's first book in the 70's. Decided I would try to use his techniques that he had tried. I works. It really works. It has changed my life in so many ways. God, source, all that is, heaven, etc. are personal interpretations left up to the individual and I don't believe any of us can define what those are exactly for everyone else. However, I agree with you 100% about OBEs being an exploration of consciousness. They aren't magical - they're simply something which falls outside common/typical forms of perception. They also fully illustrate that consciousness is not strictly contained, nor stemming from the physical entity itself.

I second OpenMind00's comment and would like to add that this research Bob Monroe did is the cutting edge of consciousness studies. It could take millenia to get a big picture of what is truely going on, but Monroe's research is sure as hell a good start.
