@EvilbadBunny That must be from Ys 7 huh? Sorry but I stopped following the series and Falcom when they abandoned the PC and switched to an inferior platform(PSP) and stopped making PC games. The new game(7) and its engine are a POS and cant hold a candle to the engine they used in Napishtim, Felghana and Origin.

Bought the PSP version of this game just to support the series, prefer the PC version. Ys Seven was quite successful for what it did even if I didn't like the new party system as much. No hate here. =_=

@JMtheCONQUERER The Pc version of what Ys 7? Their isnt one its only Fail PSP. If you want oath I would check Ebay. You dont want the newer version though as I dont think the English patch will work with it. I have the Special Edition Box Set with the 8 Music cds

Before getting this game, theres one thing i have to be sure of...is this game as long as The Ark of Napishtim? Or is it super short cuz i want a real one not just a waste of time :p certainly looks as fun as the sixth but unsure about the plot line :p thanks

@Zirsquishy This game is alot better then Napishtim. As you can see Adol moves much faster and the music is better. I would say this game is about as long as napishtim. Playing it on hard mode will add acouple hours to it cuz you'll need to grind lvls at the end. But all in all better then Napishtim. As for the Story I think its also much better then napishtim.

Well, all in all it does indeed seem to be better than napishtim in many ways and if it is indeed about as long as the sixth then what am i waiting for? :D

@warhawk Ys 1 and 2 chronicals. then if you want to technicaly keep them in order, Ys IV for the Turbo Graphics then Ys 3 (either Oath or Wanderers from Ys for the Snes) The Ys V for Super Famicom, The Ys VI ark of Napishtim finally Ys 7

@vangeo1923 LOL are you on drugs? Look at the characters they are blocky like PS1 characters. The game play is dumbed down and the music is ho hum. Ys III is considered to have the best music of the entire series. Also I have the Graphics on these vids turned down for fraps. Their is no way Ys 7 can beat 1900 x 1080 resoultion with an Nvidia GTX 285 card. I guess the kiddies will buy anything these days

@vangeo1923 I do realize you are talking about the PSP. The only way to get Ys 7. You never stated you where taliking about the PSP version of OiF which is the only decent version. If you got Ys OiF for PSP well im sorry for you becAuse that version sucks compared to the PC version but still any Ys game is better then 7. Yes I am a Ys fan but not of Ys seven which is the worst of the bunch

@vangeo1923 My reasons are simple. Look at the character models. They are blocky like PS1. Falcom, in my estimation is getting worse by the year in the music dept. Ys used to have a mostly metal/hard rock/ synth rock sound. Now they use that god damn Violin in EVERY song and the music doesnt get my blood pumping as let say Overdrive, Valestien Castle, or Frist steps tword war. Also you cant even jump its roll around tumble land. I also would rather be just one charcter (continued)

@vangeo1923 With the option of switching to a different charcter if I wanted to. This isnt Sorcieran its Ys. Dont even get me started on the controls. Gamepad would be wayyy better then the psp. If it wasnt an Ys game Id give it a C as an Ys game it gets a D. I expected more out of this title and was hoping for PC with the Napistim/Felghana/Origin Gameplay. Instead we got this.

Sound: Enjoy the full epicness of Valestein Castle music thru those puny Psp speakers(full surround sound system here) Controls: Thats a given. Screen size: Id rather play it on a 40inch tv then psp screen. The Packaging: No cheapo psp case. BIG artistic Purple box with glittery raised Ys. Definatly a collectors item. The Music: Oath in Felghana Premium Music box with 8 CDs of Game music. Theirs 6 reasons

Is there a translated version of this game available for the PC? Always wanted to give this series a try. I love the music, and the way the gameplay looks.

I'm learning Japanese atm in college, but I'm years away from being able to play non-translated stuff.

@DriftAnime Yes thier is an english fan patch. Guys did a great job with it. I believe you need the XP version of Oath though. the Vista version wont work as far as i know

oh ok thats why ign told a year ago that Ys games where comming on psp remakes, awesome, I never played an ys game before, when I saw the gameplay from ys 7 then I got interested in the title. I found it very cool the hack and slash is pretty intense.

@Shibbykun Well thats your only option if you want the game. Its a Japanese game afterall. Besides the fan translation patch for the PC version is friggen awsome. You loss I guess cuz the PSP version controls will suck. The PC version with English patch is the only way if you ask me. I dont know what you mean by Japanese emulator as the Jap PC version will play on English windows

Man, they so seriously need to re-release this version of Y's 3 in English proper on to a console or something. Honestly, I think the Wii would be awesome for this game if done right with just the right amount of waggle gestures, like I could see using a quick left right shake to do Adol's spinning move and whatnot. Seriously, it'd be downright awesome if done right.

Thanks Its better then some of my other Felghana Vids. Notice my attcks seem more precise and fluid. Sometimes you just get into a "zone" with this game. Im sure you know what I mean :)

I payed him. I got it when he first made it availible. I had the game though since acouple of months after it came out and had already beat it befor. Wow other games dragged you away! Have you played any of the other Ys games BTW?

Ok, I was hoping to out you ;) I feel sorry for NW, since he is the only translator who has really done something for the Ys series. I have 1-4 on the TG16, I bought Ys book 1+2 and 3 when they were new, but will admit to DL'ing Ys4. Never played 5, but did play through 6 on the PS2. I'm hoping we'll get a chance to play Origin in English...though I doubt it at this point. I'm hooked on Might & Magic at the monent.
