Many thanks for comprehensive review! Probably a 5 star now that the software upgrade allows you to record to an external HDD and can be WiFi by Humax dongle for 29 quid!
You don't need a dish since this is freeview HD and not freesat HD. Also, where you live depends on whether you are able to receive HD broadcasts through your aerial, manchester and London are already braodcasting freeview in HD.
But only this is possible through a HD tv and DVB D-2 freeview box (HD freeview).
Also there are only 3 channels broadcasting in freeview, the rest are shown in SD. Freeview boxes indicating HD upscaling and costing £50 or less don't receieve HD broadcasts, they only improve SD broadcasts so avoid.Freesat in a better option if you already have a dish or no HD broadcasts since they are cheaper, but expect HD freeview to drop when programmes increase and networks begin introducing HD broadcasts.
