  • I'm gonna cry... So many memories playing Pokemon sapphire... My only legitimate level 100... Swampert. Man that team was the dream team. That Swampert alone could take out the entire elite four without getting hit. Thank you, Nintendo, for bringing about so many emotions and memories that will last forever...

  • this song will paly at the end olf my mass effect 3 playtrough, the finally season of MlP, my funeral, and anything else that will bring a tear to my eye.

  • Torchic was my last Pokemon at the end :'( I realized without it I wouldn't have beaten the Elite 4 and the champion. This one's to my little torchic who evolved into the most inredible Blaziken ever!! :)

  • Looks at video hey that looks somewhat do-able....

Looks at sheets...mother of god D:

  • When I first finished my Sapphire version, they played my Mudkip at the end of this song... Brought tears to my eyes. Hoenn is my favorite region. Best music, best Pokemon, great plot (not as great as Unova's, but the post-game is much better. Battle Frontier is the best), and the best memories.

  • Best Pokemon game ever

  • I hope remake pokemon sapphire. I would totally buy it again.

  • Gotta give props. The classics may be the 'classics', but Ruby and Sapphire were indeed the best game I ever played. I've played so many Pokemon games, but none were so creative as the Hoenn Region. :)

  • This was the best ending song in the history of Pokemon :')

  • u inspired me to play piano

  • ;~; I've been hearing this song most of my life, and yet every time it makes me want to cry. Ruby was my favorite Pokemon game, and always will be. It was my very first Pokemon game, too, and I played it so much that I knew--and still know--the Hoenn region backwards and forwards and upside down.

Gah, I must find the music for this and play it for myself.

  • @Leopardfire427 I can relate to everything you said except for knowing the Hoenn region like the back of my hand. I could probably do it with a small refresher, though.

  • @Leopardfire427 Yellow was my first, does that make me old?! :o

  • @kylelandry Hehe... grandpa x)

Nah kiddin'.. but you'd make one badass grandpa... Like Prof. Oak.

  • @kylelandry Haha, not really. XD It only was a few years before GSC and then RSE. 1995, if I remember correctly. Sooo, you must be a few years older than me.

  • @kylelandry mine is red. I FEEL OLD.

  • @kylelandry not at all =P pikachu all day lmao

  • @kylelandry not at all, it was my first as well.

  • oh my god the ending is amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!

please share the music sheets with me !!

  • Hahahaha, I'm not crying.

    ...FUCK.

  • @ChocolateNinjaStar So am I.

  • playing this in a concert tommorow :D thank you so much for sharing kyle!

  • With this song...pokemon said goodbye to me

  • Thanks for the stroll down memory lane.

    Beautiful

    :')

  • anyone else hear the low male choir very faintly in the backround at 1:28?

listen EXTREMELY carefully, it just adds to the piece's beauty

  • You know you're going hardcore mode on your piano when it starts shaking & your laptop is about to fall over.

  • cool man

  • 2:23 - 2:53

Shaking the keyboard a lot :O

But that's when there really dramatic stuff comes in <333

    Unbelieveable pianoist, well done! :3

  • WHY IS WATER COMING FROM MY EYES

  • @TheCheerfulMessiah Blazekin used Fake tears! They aren't very fake...

  • Ah yes, I remember the first time I beat Pokemon Yellow. Then my cousin showed me Half-Life and its been only violent games ever since. My innocence and childhood was stolen by a jackass with a crowbar :(

  • Ive heard many piano songs on youtube, many were covered with shit stain background noises, or the horrid singing voice the person playing, yours however is clear and excellent.

  • i personally think that ruby and sapphire was the best, than gold and silver, red and blue, black and white, and diamond and pearl

  • Man this was my first pokemon game and it took me very long to complete it cause I didnt know youtube existed back then but it reminds me of my first and BEST adventure man best ending song ever.....

  • WOW. this was about the only pokemon bgm that NEARLY made me cry of nostalgia. Nearly.

  • What keyboard is this?

  • I can feel your passion for the piano just by watching your hands move across the keys. I wish I had just a fraction of your talent.

  • ive been listening to all your covers until i finally got to here.

Pokemon has played a huge role in my adolescent years (especially pokemon ruby since it was my first pokemon game) and coming across this song brought back alot of memories.

  • Have you done the battle theme for Ruby/Sapphire?

  • I have a friend I'd like you to meet...his name is Ash Ketchum. He, like your piano playing in this video, personified my childhood in one way or another...you would get along great.

  • My first pokemon game. I still play pokemon but it's not the same as when you pick your first starter. I still have my blaziken from 2005 in my pokemon black. I need to transfer all my pokemon before my save battery dies. It would my sad if my 217 hours went to waste.

  • Amazing. These were the games I played as a kid! (I came after RBY and GS) I must have re-fought the league 100 times just to win the first time! This music made it worth it!

  • Daaanng, If i had one wish, it would be to have talent like yours.

  • This song makes me cry :'D

  • That keyboard just goes all over the place when you play fff xD

  • I can't believe Kyle played this. I appreciate Kyle's existence so much.

  • i cried.

  • @sdn14 homo

  • i am 999 Liker teheee xD

  • *Things xD

Hate when i reread and reread my reply and it sounds ok and looks fine.. then when i click post.. the damn thing has a typo.. LOL

  • @KaysonChaseSlaughter When you reread it, read it backwards so that way your brain doesn't skip over words that you think would be spelled right but actually aren't. I do this with all my school work and it works great!

  • @27drumhead That was an amazing comment my friend.. Brought back such memories of when i was a kid doing the same exact thing. I remember when i could care less if i was grounded.. or had my action figures taken away or even had my tv and cable taken away for a month.. but when my gameboy was off limits.....

That's when thinks start to get serious.

(The song playing in the background while reading your comment didd not help my tear ducts one damn bit btw >_>) =]

  • @KaysonChaseSlaughter thank you so much, i think i speak for everyone who played as a kid... there's just somthing about pokemon, ya know?

  • nice computer sheet music.

  • Kyle,

Thank you for bringing me back to my childhood. Thank you.

  • you are absolutely wonderful.

  • 2:34 - I thought that he intends to break the piano... :D

    But anyway, it was incredibly well-played. I cried a little at the beginning, because I remembered, what a wonderful childhood I had... Thank you. (;

  • This is SO INCREDIBLE. <3

  • Kyle, you take sheets and improvise on them, don't you? Is that how you make it happen in your videos?

  • fuckin shakin the keyboard

this guy doesnt give a fuck

    whattalad

  • The good ole days. I remember when I was eight my friend and his cousin were amazing at pokemon. Playing on my mom moms front porch. Yeah good days.

  • awesome! ruby and sapphire had the best soundtrack out of any of the games.

  • :o . . . . ???????????????

  • Even though I am not very old, Pokemon was a very big part of my childhood. I remember it was the very first game that I got and it was amazing. I can still remember staying up all night and morning exploring the vast worlds. I can do nothing, but feel sorry for the newer generation because most little kids know nothing, but their Mom's iPad. God Bless the Pokemon Generation and let us continue to enjoy and pass Pokemon on to all. :D

  • @KayardCF i am 11 and i still love pokemon

  • @awsom123456789 Keyword in my whole paragraph is '"Most'" ;D I never said all. And I was talking about 5-6 because that's when I started my journey to be the very best.

  • @KayardCF I especially feel bad for the newer gen that DOES play Pokemon... B/W were the worst in the series so far... I feel bad if that was anyone's first Pokemon game... I hope they trace back through the good gens in that case.

  • @GutWrench95 Lets be honest, Pokemon hit there prime at Emerald (Which I hold to be the best pokemon game of all time, followed very closely by Red/blue and silver/gold.)

After that it was all down hill :(

    Which is a dam shame.

  • @jackalhunt1 Agreed. Emerald had EVERYTHING. D/P... Were bad. Especially in comparison of what preceded them; greatness. And Black/White were absolutely horrific in comparison. If I had no other games to compare them to, they'd be great. But I just look back at the past generations of my childhood and I think, "This isn't the Pokemon I know and love..."

  • @GutWrench95 I only bought B/W because I was tradition bound. I completed it, and then I returned it. My most dissapointing game of the year.

  • I don't just like this. I friggin' LOVE THIS SHIT! THIS IS SO AWESOME! :D

  • That was super epic and looks very hard

  • Ruby was my first Pokémon game ever, and this song just brings back a lot of memories :) and you're a really good pianist! I'm going to try to play this too.

  • out of all the pokemon games, this is the only one with a true nostalgic ending song. their was never a time as heartwarming as a good pokemon game. sitting on my couch, hiding in the bathroom so my mom wouldnt catch me playing, staying up till midnight under my bed covers... and waking up while it was still dark, just to play a little more.

if only this song could play forever, and pokemon could thrive in our hearts for the rest of our lives...

moments like these, are moments that make me cry.

  • @27drumhead

    kids these days

  • @27drumhead Wow, that's how it was with me, exactly! the worst moments were when my game boy was taken away for over use. it brings tears to my eye......... -_-,

  • @27drumhead The only reason you say that is because this was the first Pokemon game you truly played. If you're like me, you did play Gens I & II, but you didn't get too far in them, and lost your cartridge literally every 5 seconds, progressing a little with each find, until eventually finishing it, but not until after you'd beaten the Elite Four on Ruby 56 times. If none of that applies to you, then good day to you, sir.

  • @jet769 excuse me jet, but pokemon red was my first game i ever had, and pokemon crystal was my favorite by far, i still play it today. and i feel insulted that some erregant kid like you thinks he can tell me otherwise... iv beaten every pokemon game except for black and white, so i dont know why you think u can just say that, im talking about pokemon in general... jeeeeez lol

pokemon is about loving, not hating

  • @27drumhead agreed :) i remember doing all of those things haha pokemon emerald <3

  • Seriously. How the FUCK can people dislike this?

  • Thumbs up for the good life:)!

  • One of the most beautiful songs in the world.

  • only good thing of this is im still a kid ruby, hoen was the second region i enter first kanto them hoen them sinnoh then jotho and finally unova but i love this song

  • 13 people have not passing the Ruby/Sapphire Pokémon League

  • lol... I get goosebumps on my left leg. <3

  • i was so relieved when i found out i can just turn off and on the gameboy when this is happening and you'd start at your mother's house.

  • I love how you play, but I personally dislike this song. When I hear it, that means I have to sit through several minutes of biking..

  • It's so sad, yet so amazingly beautiful...

  • i fear for your mac...

oh and fantastic job by the way!

brought back a heap of memories

    thanks!

  • Pokemon is simply the very best thing that has ever happened to the world. Who needs virtual murder when you've got, well, I don't have to explain it. Everyone knows what it's like to play pokemon.

  • @Ch3w3dUpRobOt amen brother, i think pokemon made all of our child hoods one of the best times in our life and still does : P

  • Don't cry.

    Don't cry.

    2:20 BAAAAAAAWL

  • So inspired by your rendition, Kyle. :) A true virtuoso... And you know how to do a neglected Pokémon generation proper justice.

  • Hahaha your Macbook.

  • Really beautiful interpretation.Fantastic job!

  • I don't speak english very well but i think you are a very very very good pianist! :D

    in italian:

io non parlo inglese molto bene, ma penso che tu sia un bravissimo pianista! :D

  • ....

    is best.

  • oh and why is there a laptop on top of the piano?

  • @usedup177 it is displaying the sheets he is reading...notice him pressing the Right arrow at 0:52

  • nice :0

  • this was truly beautiful and as you say- very nostalgic and it's sad that this beautiful piece isn't heard alot.

keep playing with life and love for music. The Pokemon games were one of the best things i could've ever had in life. They are imagination, creative, beautiful and simple in the same basic plot but each new game just begs fans to play and we shall- because they are and will forever be amazing.

  • holy shit!!

    nice done

  • I cried...

  • hoenn, brave the rainforest, dive into the ocean, unlock the tomb, beat a frontier brain, my mother always said these games destroy imagination she was wrong what other game gives you that much sense of acommplishment let me answer for you....only pokemon

  • @planttrainer44 Parents can't understand, this game just filled my head with imagination and creativity. :)

  • childhood memory. <3

  • I always prefered the music at the end of gold and silver, as in, the "the end" screen music after the credits have finished. Makes me cry, man ;-;

  • Is there any sheets for Finale reader?

  • it's a little quiet.

  • obviously the best pokemon generation now that he has done this song lool

  • Shit. Nostalgia.

  • nostALGIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • I worry for the laptop D: You played so hard that I worry the com might fall off the piano anytime..

  • Fucking terrible piano playing Kyle!.... : - )

  • Powerful and nostalgic... in just one word: perfect :)

  • I am not sure it is played like this originally, in the game. But, hell, it's your interpretion, and it is awesome, so what does it matter? :)

  • awesome, you play very good, although at the end the laptop almost fell :D but nice

  • This is absolutely beautiful!

  • nostalgia - i'm welling up

  • I miss being a little kid

  • @drocksify nostalgia hurts man

  • Outstanding. I love pokemon and this is a great cover of one of their songs. Have you heard the gold/silver/crystal credits?

  • Brings back memories of when I was a kid.

  • can u do a giude of how to play elite four?

  • actually the only reason to beat the game is to hear this fantastic song,

and then to look it up on youtube to play it on the piano

and then you get this.............this is way to awesome to describe with the words i know...wait i have one.....DEVINE!

  • @MisterAwesomeCarlito Too bad you spelled it wrong... lol.

  • @Sidnoea too bad i never speak or write english, otherwise indeed lol

  • Thats some off looking sheet music you got there! BUt in all seriousness you played my favorite Pokemon version like it should be played!

  • you are incredible! I love this theme....**

I'm italian, excuse me for errors, but you are an excelent pianist!

  • At around 1:00... I felt like I lost someone... Great playing

  • Great suggestion. VERY Nostalgic.

  • Nice sheets :D

  • Too Bad. It's So Hard To Play The Accords =/

  • lol it took me a while to notice that only sheet music wasnt only on the stand. i should totally try having my laptop on my stand

  • ohai nice computer u got thar *push*

    oh yeah, excelent playing. ^_^

  • My favorite game ending. Biking back through all of the cities. It actually ties in with the intro.

  • @clarkispotamia Mine too. I just immediately felt like my character was going back home. None of the other endings come close.

  • @clarkispotamia agreed, amazing game, but i think they stoped making good pokemon games with black and white

  • at 2min 35 it's an improvisation or with sheet ?.

  • *sees who transcribed the piece* GARY MOTHERFUCKING OAK!

    Seriously though, great work...

  • @theguycalledchris I lol'ed :'D

  • Comment removed

  • lol from 2:30 im really afraid that ur laptop will fall down surprisingly

  • Lol @ laptop on music stand.

  • lololololol penis penis

  • One of the many reasons why I absolutely adore the 3rd gen. The music overall was beautiful and really reflected the atmosphere wherever you were. You are correct, this is very nostalgic-sounding. Almost like someone's being carried up into heaven, lol. |D Very well played, sir. Hats off to you.

  • Takes me way back, :'(

  • Pokemon Ruby was my very first ever Pokemon game. that's because my mom doesn;t eaant me to play video game when i was a kid. Pokemon Ruby for me is the greatest memory of my childhood. It's such a big part of it. :D

  • I grew up on pokemon, it's nice to hear something that strikes back a good memory :D

I can still remember me and mah Blaziken bustin through the elite four, i can remember raging when i lost all those countless battles, and i can remember crying in joy when i finally beat the game as a kid. And though i don't play as much as i used to, this song just makes me want to catch them all over again. Thank you.

  • This is the first thing I've ever heard from you, but it's good enough to get a subscription, and I'm not even done with the song. Nice job!

    Lots of nostalgia.

  • i still remember runnin frm fk'n gyrados's... wait... i still am

  • *Comment about disliker* Thumbs up if you agree.

  • awwwww......this brings me back

  • I like how your piano moves when you play :P

    It's just marvelous

  • Totally forgot you played this piece. Best ending song for a pokemon game, or any game.

  • dude that was beautiful

  • Even if it is just Pokemon, the way you play always brings me back into a happy mood. It sounds beautiful. I'm trying to learn this song too :) thanks for the link!

  • you destroyed that keyboard :)

  • The memories :')

  • ur laptop \XD

  • woo ye! shake that sister's keyboard! nice playing

  • This is the kind of soundtrack, were you start to get sad, that a Game has ended... and I don't know if I should hate or just love that feeling.

But wow, I'm total impressed! How you played that Song... just perfect!

  • @voreveryoung that i have with very much cool games :-)/:-(? like soft games as: pokemon but also with rough games offensive language like fall out new vegas it is just so good that feeling it makes you feel that you did well in the game and want to do more quests:-)

  • when the epic part came in and saw the piano shaking i was getting worried it was going to fall

  • epic...

  • oommgg dude this is amazing!!

  • man you did it Incredible...you are playing piano like flying

  • Hoenn is my favorite place. ;U

  • 12 people had laptops fall off their keyboards or just hated their childhood.

  • i REALLY love your rendition of this song and i see all the comments about people asking for the sheet music and all and how the links and whatever dont work but i dont want that. can you PLEASEEEE make a video of you playing this song the same way you did in this video but record as a top down view on your piano so that other people can learn how to play it too? i (and many others) would love it if u did that

  • I remember defeating Steven and laughing when May tried to follow me in Hall of Fame.
