  • i'm thinking its just for better gearing coming off the turn. fourth gear might drag the acceleration down off of the turn

  • Correct me if I'm wrong in assuming this, but the downshift into 3rd would upset the car a tad, wouldn't it? Perhaps kinda help in rotating through the corner a little more.

    I'm just going by sim racing experience, I dunno. lol Just curious, I guess.

  • yeah down shifting does upset the car a little bit but at gateway from what i heard its alot faster out of the corners to be in third gear , plus its also easier on the brakes
