@bluecell99 You're right; if it makes you feel any better you'll notice that it is not that way so much anymore. But this was 1950's/60's Hollywood, and things were very different in the latter years of the Golden Age of film. Back then Stars were engineered to be, in this case, "teen heart throbs", and the film companies couldn't risk losing that. Girls wanted him, boys wanted to be him. Thus so many fake weddings. Not so much anymore. Speaking of years, I know I'm replying to a 3 yr old post.

Very gobsmacking ! I love Tab Hunter's vocal treatment of "Young Love" and reckon it's better than Sonny James's version. It would be rather cool if someone could post a vid on Youtube of Tab Hunter peforming/Lipsyncing to that song ? Maybe it's from one of his movies, instead of on TV show cause he said he liked doing movies better than singing ??

He was and still is a very fine actor. His book tells of his many close albeit platonic relationships with women, and yet he

hardly mentions being attracted to any male

co-stars which I found curiously interesting.

All in all though, he is a survivor, he kept

both feet on the ground - have to give him credit for that!

Of course he's out and proud! He's had the guts to put it in a book, he never got married (unlike real closeted actors like Rock Hudson). If anything, he' s a gentleman and he doesn't like to be labeled and to talk in public about his sexual preferences. I don't blame him for that. One thing is lying, which he has never done, and another thing is being discreet.
