  • Hey if you really wanna know some facts you're not sure of (John,Kyle and Sarah's age,the year, ect) just watch the first and second film and listen carefully.I wouldn't rely on the the show or the the third film, especially for information for obvious reasons.

  • @ManWhoWasNotThere Also I'm gonna assume you're a Thomas Dekker fanboy and that's why you have to resort to petty insults. You haven't provided one piece of evidence that says Dekker is better as Connor than Edwards or Furlong or Bale. You give me three examples that show he is better than Edwards. Bearing in mind you have two seasons of screen time to cover whereas I only have a minute of screen time.

  • @hamster12512 lol, sry but first, as with most portrayals of the part it wasnt until significant time was given to the part before I started appreciating what he did for the part, and as mentioned repetatively before (which leads me to the belief that it is in fact you who is only reading what he wants), none of the other actors were given good enough writing or enough time to really develop into the part. (continued).

  • (continued from last) Second, the scene you were talking about where he "surveils the battlefield" occurs during a celebration (you can tell because everyone is looking up at him and cheering while holding their gun in one hand/shooting it) so why would he be surveiling the battlefield. In short you're an idiot and this argument is over, youve lost. hurl whatever insults you like but youre wrong, and stupid for attempting to defend a point that is wrong. :)

  • @ManWhoWasNotThere I am not talking about Nick Stahl in T3. I am talking about Michael Edwards at the opening of T2. So I apologise if you've took it the wrong way and assumed from my post that I was talking about T3, when in fact it was T2 I was referring to.

  • eddie furlong is best john connor

  • @eddie5015 incorrect, thomas dekker is the only one to play the character the way he should be played

  • @ManWhoWasNotThere Furlong was the first to play Connor so your comment is pretty ignorant. Personally I think three of the seven actors to portray Connor have got his character spot on.

Furlong = a rebellious pre-teen delinquent who starts to change into a strong and capable leader.

Dekker = an unwilling teenage fugitive who embraces his role as that strong and capable leader.

Bale = a tough adult soldier who finally becomes the strong and capable leader he was meant to be.

  • @hamster12512 if you actually read what i wrote it becomes evident that your coment is ignorant. I'm aware that there have been a plethora of actors who have played the part both before and after him. what I'm saying is that he is the only one who has embodied the character fully. yes he was given more time to do so in his 2 seasons on the show than furlong or bale were in there hour and half-2 hour long movies which i think is why this is true (continued)

  • @hamster12512 (pt2) and if bale is given a 2nd chance to play the character in the new one he'll likely do a good job, maybe he'll even be better in the role than he was in salvation, but until then, dekker is the only one of the bunch who played a fully realized, complex version of connor. so far every one else has just been a generic action movie savior.

  • @ManWhoWasNotThere Actually I'm gonna stop you right there and contradict myself in the process. The only person who has ever played JC spot on is Michael Edwards. From T2. He did more than Furlong, Dekker or Bale did in the time they played JC. And he didn't even speak a single word. Actions speak louder than words and even though he just walked through a tunnel, saluted a few people and surveyed the battlefield, he embodied everything Connor is and more. All without a single line of dialogue.

  • @hamster12512 no, he still played out like a cliche apocalypse movie hero looking into the sun. sry but u fail.

  • @ManWhoWasNotThere I fail? I fail at what exactly. Pointing out that even though seven actors have portrayed Connor only one of them has made an impression. Compared to Edwards the others don't have nothing on him. All it took was one minute of him looking out across the battlefield and without uttering a single word, he did what Furlong, Dekker and Bale never did. He made me actually believe he was this mysterious, charismatic leader who inspired the soldiers under his command. He was Connor.

  • @hamster12512 you fail at basic logic. he stared into the sun like every other post apocalypse hero, every single one. therefore he diddn't in fact play john connor he played some asshat trying to look into the sun/explosion. good day sir

  • @ManWhoWasNotThere You know what mate, I'm not even gonna bother with you anymore. You're clearly a twelve year old who thinks he's clever, so fuck it. No point arguing with you. I stick by my belief that Edwards is the best Connor. And I'm sure many others do aswell.

  • @hamster12512 I gave up on appealing to your logical side a long time ago, clearly if you think that every action hero ever whos done that scene of staring into the sun (which you still haven't rebutted, you just keep claiming that a dude staring into something bright is the best portrayal of the character, which is wrong, FACT) then youre an idiot.

  • @ManWhoWasNotThere Who is saying that because he stared off into the distance, he is the best person to play Connor? You're clearly twisting my words around. I'm saying that Edwards did something that the other actors I named never did. Yes, he looked off into the distance but he's a soldier surveying the battlefield. Vin Diesel or The Rock give that look because it makes them look cool. Edwards did it because he needed to. It's his job to watch over the soldiers under his command.

  • @hamster12512 LOL YOU ARE! that was all he did for those 2 frames is stare off into the distance. THAT WAS IT. also i especially love that last time you said you were gonna stop responding and youre still being an idiot.

  • @ManWhoWasNotThere I'm the idiot! No you're the fucking idiot. You're only reading what you wanna read. You don't acknowledge the fact that Edwards is playing a SOLDIER who is SURVEYING the BATTLEFIELD because that is his JOB. If you're so desperate to prove you're right by insulting people then you have some fucking issues. Dick!

  • perfect job /salute

  • You. Are. Awesome.

  • Nice job with clip choices. You got a good image of what John goes through to become the leader. Good thing you left out T-3 clips. A plus.

  • umm the HK near the end was a t-3 clip -.-

  • I could actually see the resemblance between Thomas Dekker and Christian Bale, especially with Thomas Dekker haircut, I wonder if that was intentional.

  • good stuff

  • fucking insanely good editing, good job

  • I cant believe the TV series is over!!!

  • good job

  • Great transition at the end going from one water scene to another. Outstanding!

  • awesome

    1

  • Amazing!!!

  • does anyone know the song playing in the background?

  • Dead Heart Bloom New Messiah

  • Awesome video!!

  • Could anybody tell me, if you know what episode of Terminator this is from. (I'M ONLY TALKING ABOUT THE PARTS WHERE JOHN, PLAYED BY DEKKER, IS TALKING, NOT THE SCENES FROM THE MOVIES)

  • the part where john (played by dekker) is talking is from ep 19 in season 2.

  • Thanks

  • Wow!

  • love it, 5 stars, no 10 stars

  • Bravo 5 stars

  • omg that was so good!

  • Wonderful job putting this together! The dialogue you added into the music video is fantastic. Connor's confrontation with Jesse last week gave us one of the best glimpses so far of the man John Connor will become, so I'm glad you included bits from it here.

I also love the inclusion of the other Terminator movies. They all flowed seamlessly together, here. Again, great job!

  • Man, this was awesome. I'm glad you didn't use any footage of Nick Stahl's Connor from T3 because he looks nothing like the other 3 actors. Furlong, Dekker, and Bale are all believable as the same person aging throughout the years and Stahl just seems out of place...

  • This vid is great!
