Somehow, it doesn't sound completely like a sax, but I suppose there aren't many people who can hear that... I, as a sax player, do hear it, but even so, the thing sounds great... Really great. I've never heard a sax VST that sounded better than this one.
Yes, but it's the best aproach you can find to play in realtime. Very convincing if you edit the midi file and know how sax is played to make corrections. Take a listen to the audio demos in the samplemodeling web site.
@Jaleo360 I was wondering if you coul play some demo's with the other saxes too. I've been searching for demo's of the alto en baritone, but there is almost nothing to find...
And what's the highest note these VST's can play? With my alto, I can get just as high as a piano, or even above, but I was wondering if these saxes can get this high too
Nice playing on this vid btw, you do make it sound like a sax player. There are some minor things you wouldn't do on a sax, but still, it sounds great :)
@robbertzzzzz , It's not me playing, is Steffano Lucatto. I only uploaded the video to my page because I own and like the product, unfortunately I can´t play so well as Stefano, but the VST is very fun and playable.
I can´t remember the highest note of each (tenor, bari and alto), but sure not the highest you can play, if you are a master!
Search for Iwan Roth in google, in his web page you can listen some song played at the ewi with samplemodeling saxes.
And I'm no master, but I have practiced quite a lot at these high notes, so I can get higher than most saxophone players can, actually, there is just one guy I've ever heard who can get really, really high, and he is one of the sax players of the tower of power horns...
