@Deionarzii it is interesting that you say that; cause i think it should be the other way around. we should cheer up 'cause there wont be any game like this one. no sequels-prequels .. anything. it was something for the generation of 80's (mostly). in 2011, in our hyper-saturated gaming environment where the hd graphics, and repetitive gameplay is the next big thing; either this game would not sell; or would be screwed up so that it 'sells'.
@casenull I dont talking about game similar to this one. we cant just copy/paste it to another time, ofc no. that is not possible, never will be. Right now.. right now games are just selling products, nothing else, without soul, without nothing for this generation of ppl. We cant visit sigil again and again without any memories. So yes, its bad, why there cant be games like Planescape? I want feel the games, not play them.
This song is like a portal to another world... Not world of Planescape Torment, not Sigil... Something deeper, like descending into a ghostly realm of forgotten civilizations and finding out all of them are inside you... Like a thousand years old memory from hundreds of past lives.
Every time I listen to this, I remember talking to that guy in the bar about all the different planes and such. Must have been there an hour just reading all that.
Everytime I hear it I wanna cry and be held tight by my beloved. Even if he would be as dangerous as Ignus was. Still, his painful touch would be bearable...
@abcdefgh123qw It is a game AND a piece of art. One of the cool things about P:T is how it works with the medium and with the mechanisms and dynamics of a CRPG. Sure. It's text-heavy and the texts in the game are grand, stylistically far superior to a lot of stuff that passes for "high literature" these days. It is a gem of a story. But it is still a GAME, a superb, kick-ass game - and a shining example of the fact that a computer game can be a work of art.
@bahello Surreal ,you say? Never felt like that to me. To me it feels as if I was touching it. I was in that bar, and it was as real as anything else ever was.

My fave track in the game. Before I got the mp3s, I used to visit the Smoldering Corspe Bar every time I found myself in that area - simply because I wanted to listen to the music.
This game is so good that when you play it, you want others to experience it too. Just because of how the story affects you. It's almost philosophical. It's a shame that most people don't even know this game exists...
OMFG. I want another game in Sigil similar to that so bad. :(
Btw. am I the only one who spend hours in Modron Cube fighting endless legions of mecha-mobs just to hear Cube fight track? ;)

Best song in Torment in my opinion. Sad psychedelic and cheerful in a way.

Psychodelic and surrealistic. Epic game and soundtrack.

It's not a game. It's art. It's a book everyone should read!
