@I3rotherz lol, no, they're for underwater tours, lots of windows.
I don't know if war subs are painted dark for camo, though. Visual appearance really isn't a factor in modern war, esp. with subs. I think the dark color is just the color of the slick, quiet, low drag rubber material. Just an educated guess, though

I went on that exact sub :D it was in Waikiki, Hawaii. amazing stuff under those waters.
