Tony Scott is my fav director. His films have an awesome slick look to them and he always pushes the action and look of the films to the edge. Just look at Domino, Man On Fire and Enemy Of The State. Those films are every edgy. You could sick with camera movements in those films. Tony is the man. He got Quentin Tarrantino started in the film business. Quentin is also a huge fan of Tony's work.
i just got done working on the set of Unstoppable - they were shooting along a railroad a few hours from my house and got a few weeks worth of work as a PA - actually met Tony briefly and for the most part was a nice guy... unless they were shooting. then hes a madman
If you like British Directors you should aso Check Out Brian Trenchard smith, and Michael Apted, Both have done mostly TV stuff but they do a good job at doing it...
ENEMY OF THE STATE, THE FAN, BEVERLY HILLS COP II, THE LAST BOY SCOUT, and TRUE ROMANCE. I REALLY HOPE TO GOD HIS REMAKE OF "THE TAKING OF PELHEM 123" WILL BE ADDED TO MY LIST.
WTF happened to TS? He was probably the film maker that was the most intimate with the camera in the 1980s and early 1990s. His recent films are all jump cuts and rendering. I get a headache 2 minutes into his new movies.
film is new for tony scott stile, it has somesing new in kind of storys that tony usualy taken for his movie. It is a little bit Spilberg stiled story. But cool, cool, baby!
Huge fan of Tony and Ridley Scott and Jerry Bruckheimer's work. Was fortunate enough to meet Jerry Bruckheimer at the film premier for Pearl Harbor at Senate House in London. Please check out my remix of 'Man on Fire' by Tony Scott featuring Denzel, Dakota Fanning and the lovely Radha Mitchell. If you've seen Man on Fire, my version focuses more on the passion between Denzel & Radha rather than on Dakota from the film, and uses some deleted scenes. must be nice to have seen these two progress over the years....i'm a HUGE tony scott fan, but i have yet to see boy and bicycle from ridley, or one of the missing from tony. they are two of the best directors ever, technically & dramatically.
If you search ridley scott then scroll down to hovis bike ride, I think that is the one your looking for. I think people are suprised when they find out out the scott brothers from England thanks for your reply.
no i actually did mean "boy and bicycle" which is ridley's first student film. i know it's only available through BAFTA and so is tony's first student film. but i know they're from tyne-and-wear. been doing research since i was a kid. keep up the good work.
