I tried this gem in training and had trouble with my partner shutting down my sweep by posting his free arm and leg wide on the mat, widening his base. (Grey shirt, left arm/leg in the video) I finally realized that this sweep must done immediately and continuous with the momentum of your partner's initial sweep. I am guessing the commitment and lack of hesitation required for this move is how the name came to be? Great move. Thanks for sharing.
this works almost like a full nelson. the trick with the sweep is the neck crank.. if he bases out on one foot, crank that neck till he wants to relieve the pressure or he taps. if he bases and doesn't give up the sweep lock him in full guard and finish the neck crank, if he stacks you crank till you force him to roll and roll with him and end up on mount.
make sure he cant pop his head out if he spins take his back.
good move but why go for the sweep couldnt u just pressure him back down after u get ur grip then apply the neck crank i believe it would leave less room for error but still great move
When you do this and go onto your back into half guard, does that mean that this is a valid sweep when using the lockdown? For example, simimilar to the stomp:
If you clasp his head tightly using the 100% from your back, and then do a similar movement to the stomp (unlocking the lockdown), can you still use this sweep/submission? I'm guessing you can, just unsure about the practicality of getting his head down into the 100%...i'll try it tonight :)
Yes. In fact, there should be video going up at some point where I show that position. I get this move from almost every position, and have 4-5 finishes, including taking the back.

this has good MMA applications, especially to get your opponent towards the side of the cage.
