@rexicado Lucian kept true to the figure. Kept the fuel burning from the old masters. He reinvented himself and invented his own style that far surpasses Picasso's attempt at figures. Picasso took a left turn when he should of taken a right in his figurative representation. He had promise but fell short of mr. Freud. This Is my opinion as what is yours lol

I love Hockney but I think Freud is boring. Freud's work is just sad...he turns his back on all the great artists who were all around him including Picasso and talked trash about them. Whereas Hockney shows the influence and says; a painter HAS to deal with Picasso or he's just not any sort of modern artist....

Freud is a glorified Illustrator.
