  • sad. Tmz is always right. man in the mirror. learned a lesson from that song.

  • Um, you made a mistake in your video...you probably know already!

His birthday was 08/29/1958. You have it as 04/29/1958.

Thanks for your Tribute...its a little funny but GREAT! More good words need to be said about this great man <3

  • Come to New Mexico! :D

  • Thank you for the tribute/memories of the King Of Pop!

  • really off topic, but I finally found someone else who uses VLC Media Player!

  • And have you tied a guy up behind you? a struggling leg keeps popping up.

  • That's how Michael really went.

  • Lol, always had a sneaky suspision (is that how oyu spell it?) that sum things was fishy, well keep him well fed unless its too late.

  • what is post-modern???

  • hey lars, when are you coming to RENO, NV????

  • Hopefully in August!

  • come to new zealand ^_^

  • dude holy shit it's is really mc lars he isnt lieing when he say's its laptop rap, way to go lars!

  • nice one lars i couldnt agree more

  • However, I will admit that he did great things for funny music. Weird Al definitely got jumpstarted because of MJ.

  • Hmm. MC Lars with nostalgia for one of the great icons of flat mass culture?

I think you're reaching when you claim that his success was necessary for the success of hip-hop. That's like saying that the Beatles or Elvis were necessary for Nirvana -- sure, it would have been a different world without the influence of these seminal artists -- Nirvana's work wouldn't have been viewed as a *response*, at least. But it's not like they wouldn't have made an impression on their own.

  • Great tribute. My first CD was Even Worse, and I'm pretty sure my second and third were Bad and Dangerous. =) Love your work Lars.

  • i wish he would be remembered how you wish he would. but from what ive heard people talking about him i doubt it. its kind of sad really.

  • Aw lars this was really sweet

  • Awesome tribute andrew!!!

    5 stars

  • nice work lars, real nice

  • I definitely did NOT know he wrote the Bartman. Good knowledge-drop, good tribute

  • lars :( you sound like you are about to cry

  • Great tribute! Just one thing, you got his birth month wrong.

  • Noted - it was August not April. Good looking out. - Lar

  • RIP sorry to hear it happened... but good job Lars on the tribute.

  • hell yeah Lars!!! you were awesome when i met you back when you were touring with BFS, and this proves that you are still awesome! you rock Lars! great podcast! Thank You for sharing this with us!

  • Very good Lars.

Yeah Weird Al does owe him alot.

  • My fondest memory of him was watching some movie of him where he helped out two kids, turned into some giant robot, and blew everyone's mind's away. I have no clue what it's called, but it was definitely awesome back in the day. RIP Michael. You will be remembered as the legend you were, not for the bad, but for the impact you have made on all of our lives this past 50 years and on the music world.

  • Whoa, never knew he co-wrote Do The Bartman, Nice.

& when I found out he died I headed straight to the Free Willy/Will You Be There video.. It was my favorite as a kid haha.

    This was lovely. R.I.P.

  • great video dood. the king is dead... LONG LIVE THE KING.

  • Awesome, man

  • Awesome Tribute MC Lars! :) Thank you.

  • This is a beautiful tribute, I love it

may he rest in peace xx

  • I thought that the contract he signed means song rights already reverted to sony so he cant leave them to paul?

  • Love it [:

    may he RIP. <3

  • Nice piece Lars, I remember the release of theThriller album and my buddy who bought the red/zipper jacket. I respect his contribution to pop culture eventhough I wasn't the biggest fan of his music. This week with Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, and now Micheal Jackson. Bad week to be famous.

  • The Orwell book... where no one knows what news sources to trust and facts are so nebulous due to Big Brother and technology filtering information. Not the year!!

  • But everything that TV tells us is true! ;)

Seriously though, you said 1984 and I thought the year because that was a pretty significant time in MJ's career.

  • Aw, awesome tribute.

    Do the Bartman!

  • Excellent observations.. a fitting tribute

  • gah now we'll never know if hes black or white =( ... i guess it doesnt matter

  • Very good Andrew :D
