  • Why those guys are the best reviewers, they 'know how hard it is to get a movie made' and how many critics even try?

  • Now I know which DVDs I'd like to rent...

  • I liked "Micheal Clayton" too.

But i wonder what they thought about Michael Mann's "The Insider" back in '99. Which didn't win a thing.

This year i was rooting for "There will be Blood" though.

  • Michael Clayton isn't that good.

The Oscars should have gone to There Will Be Blood.

Best Picture: There Will Be Blood.

Best Director: Julian Schnabel · The Diving Bell and the Buttefly.

Best Actor: Daniel Day Lewis · There Will Be Blood.

Best Actress: Marion Cotillard · La Vie en Rose.

Best Sup. Actor: Casey Affleck · The Assasination of Jesse James.

Best Sup. Actress: Amy Ryan · Gone Baby Gone.

  • Clooney was just being clooney. I like him too but sometimes his active is repetitive and sometimes boring. Day Lewis all the way.

  • Thank you,dear geezers!

You have my vote for simply being one of the best things to watch on You Tube!

  • Clooney over DDL?! Mmmkay.

  • they really like Clooney as an actor

  • Day Lewis is an acting god! Amazing. He plays the parts so well that you actually believe the people hes portraying are in FRONT OF YOU! and you not seeing Lewis at all. Im not sure if that made sense. haha

  • Jolie was unfortunatley snubbed for A Mighty Heart.

  • Sical and Ebert eat your heart out!

  • why is lorenzo letting his vote be influenced by what he thinks will win, he said, "i'd vote for juno but comedies rarely win," not that i'm more a proponent of juno than any other movie, but juno will have zero chance of winning if everyone thinks that way and noone votes for it, you're job is just to vote for what you think is best

  • Did Larenzo phone it in @ 3:54 lol. JK he is the bee's knees. It would be a delight to have a double date with them. Couple of glasses of wine. They're cool people.

  • they're not married to each other, however, but maybe that's getting to be part of their allure, like regis and kelly, the flirtatious chemistry between them

  • omg, i agree with everything they said! I'm really eighty!

  • Hello, Julie...LMAO

  • I love you guys, but you're crazy. Michael Clayton. Juno. WTF

There will be Blood was the best movie last year. That shouldn't even be able to be debated...

  • Clearly you didn't see Michael Clayton, or you would understand.

    It's amazingly good.

  • There will be Blood was perfectly parodied on SNL. Stop screaming, DDL.

  • I LOVE THIS CHANNEL

u guys should rly keep on doing this rly

  • Lol

    Marcia was one fat baby

  • interesting comments, nice to see they treat all films etc fairly...got my vote!

  • Michael Clayton was drab and somewhat boring but that is only in comparison to the other films nominated. 2007 has been one of the best film years in recent memory

  • The arc of DDL's character was his madness.

  • The have an obsession with Michael Clayton.

  • These dear people wear their love of the movies on their sleeves, and I salute THEM for sharing their experience and knowledge with me. When they toast those who make films that don't get nominated, and acknowledge the incredibly hard work to even get a film completed, they get my vote. Everyone has an opinion, but theirs are based on lifetimes of work. Listen to them a little and learn a lot.

  • Micheal Clayton may be the most overrated movie all time.

  • Totally agree. Why is it even up there? It was really quite boring.

  • Funny thing, I consider Michael Clayton along with Juno, the weakest of the lot. They`re not in the same league as "No country" and "Blood"

  • Juno is the overrated film the is vary average. Its a poor mans version of Fast Times at Ridgmont high, with a 16 year old jaene grafallo

  • I have to disagree. I thought Daniel Day Lewis

    was amazing

  • I don't know if this makes me biased, but Daniel Day-Lewis...is...God.

Daniel Plainview gesturing to the Best Actor Oscar statue: "What's this? Why don't I own this... why don't I own this?"

  • Reviewers are marvelous. I agree 100% about the great film Michael Clayton.

  • Lorenzo wrote THE GREATEST political thriller EVER - "The Parallax View" (1974) starring Warren Beatty.

By all means, do yourself a favor and see this truly excellent film. It will stay with you forever.

  • I disagree these people have lot of industry experience. They're old but they know their movies. You might not agree but why hate someone because of their opinion?

  • I love your name, Reelgeezers. I see a lot of movies too. Love them.

  • How can you say that Daniel Plainview has no arc? That couldn't be more wrong.

  • michael clayton is so overrated. the only redeeming part was Tom Wilkinson and even he gets overshadowed by the other Supporting Actor nominees

  • Well.... interesting comments and fun to watch, but I strongly disagree with your picks.

  • I love you two!!!

  • great reviews, best around for sure. This two part episode is really good, and I can't wait to see what movie they review next. =D

  • My wife tricked me into watching Micheal clayton, and while its a dark subtle performance it was nice....It could have waited for dvd to see it though.

  • Can I adopt them?

  • Darling, that blouse is stunning!!!!! and you have the cutest laugh!

  • Best Actress...Woot! lol

  • Oh thank goodness you're back! I have been replaying your previous reviews over and over again just to stay entertained. Quick--go see some more movies and give us your unique take on them (or don't even bother to watch the movies--just talk about whatever--I'm listening!)

  • i love you guys! i must subscribe.

  • Great sparkling repartee, you two! Thanks for a great show!

...and I must rush out to see Michael Clayton.

  • Correction: Raging Bull was directed by Martin Scorsese, not Robert Redford! I love the Geezers.

  • I believe she was referring to Ordinary People not Raging Bull.

  • Listen again. She said that Robert Redford directed Ordinary People, the movie that beat Raging Bull.

  • Sheer brilliance. whether you agree with these guys or not, they have a wonderful charm & their genuine love of movies shines through. I feel i'm getting opinions which carry weight & depth and Marcia & Lorenzo don't have any axes to grind.

  • i like the random 'best actor' card lol, and lorenzo throwing it on the ground :)

  • Kubrick never won an oscar for directing, and none of his films ever won best picture, he won one oscar for special effects in 2001, that's more amazing to me then raging bull.

  • ehhh, not really. kubrick isn't the best director ever to get snubbed for oscar, that would be orson welles or alfred hitchkock

  • Lorenzo has a very interesting voice. I watched this episode not because I was interested in the content, but I because I like the way Lorenzo sounds. More Lorenzo.

  • I love these two!

  • Excellent show! If only the real oscars were this brief.

I have a question, why did you want to comment on sweeney todd?

  • great show! thanks...

  • I couldnt wait for part II!! I am so excited to be the first post!! I love these guys! I like their picks...not the most popular picks...but I respect their views!
