This was just a time, when metal wasn't all about being angry, spiteful, or just heavy for the sake of being heavy. If you wanna hear glam ROCK check out Slade - Cum On Feel The Noize. Kevin Dubrow of Quiet Riot sounded a lot like hte lead singer of Slade.

@damodura, I choose Ratt. I love the Crue too, but they never had an album that was so full of kick-ass songs like Ratt's "Out of the Cellar". Overall, it's the best metal album of all time, IMO.

I was 16 when the album came out in 1984, and every headbanger I knew had it. I saw them live in Detroit in 1985. Ratt ruled the '80's.
