im not very sure on world rules, but it looked like the other guy didnt have the takedown and Zadick should have won cause the guy released his lock. Can someone correct me plz?

Under the new freestyle clinch, breaking the lock does not matter. Also, neither does control. If the wrestler with the leg gets the defensive guy to hit his hip or knees on the mat, they will award the period to him.  Bizarre system designed to give the period to the coin flip winner 99% of the time.

oh wow. lol, my coach was wrestling at senior nationals, and he thought the rulse were like what you just described, and he released the lock and he lost to the eventual champ of the tourney and worlds.
