I aggree with you in most of your post, but he definitely was not the greatest scorer ever! Counting (like for Pele) "friendly matches", Gerd Müller, Artur Friedenreich and Sandor Kosic scored more goals than Pele. But Pele was the greatest player of all times!

@badbeatout I agree with you. But we should remember that unlike these players Pelé wasnt a center-forward (like Gerd Muller was) he was an attacking midfielder, a playmaker, like Ozil or Messi. His first task was organize the team and provide passes, not score goals.
