  • LOL, Dodge quality.

Du du du du du different.

  • those are not the brakes .. that was the steering

  • ouch!

  • Fuck the ignition mate, get the man some new pants!

  • That was hard lick. They handle surprisingly well. They weigh 3,200lbs and have tons of grip.

  • glad i dont own a dodge

  • Big engine in the front of the car means, Brakes are extremely important on the track...

  • that's why you don't buy american cars

  • Dodge Viper: I can go 200 mph, fuck turns.

  • R u confusing a Jake break with an "engine brake"? Obviously those aren't equipped with consumer cars. 2nd he'd have to depress the clutch to gear down!

  • damn dodge i got a caravan and the breaks have gone out also LOL

  • Isn't this what American muscle cars are renowned for? Not going around corners I mean.

  • Wait, is the viper made by Toyota? That would explain the brake failure! Time for another recall!.

    .

    .

    .

P.S. I know the viper is not made by Toyota, but by Dodge (which in the dictionary means: to avoid)

  • Even if it was a brake failure, for a manual car, it isn't that big an issue, especially for one with such a huge engine. Engine braking, best way out of this mess :D

  • @ferraris26 yeah dont even think he geared down once.

  • @ferraris26 Yea ok, like gearing down would of slowed him enough

  • @blaknoizee It manages to work in a 1.2 litre engine, why won't in a Viper?

  • @ferraris26 he actually did attempt to gear down at 0:11, now that I see it again, but clearly at whatever speed he was, it woudnt of slowed him enough to make that corner. That is a highspeed straight

  • @blaknoizee Might have depressed the clutch while braking, most drivers do it. He'll have no engine braking then. and true he couldn't have made the corner even if he put it in first, lifted off the throttle and dumped the clutch all of a sudden, it would have slowed him down enough not to have the almighty crash :D

  • @ferraris26 the viper clearly has a way larger engine, which is harder to slow down

  • @fordmanmudracer In all seriousness, do you know what engine braking means....coz' if you did, you'll realise that a bigger engine will brake a lot harder.

  • @ferraris26 sure do, and with a dig engine in a small car, engine brakeing does not work, because it has to work two ways, the engine speeds up, and the car slows down. with a smaller car, it is harder to speed up that engine. the only way engine braking works is if the car and engine are in proportion- small car and small engine, or big vehicle and big engine

  • @fordmanmudracer Disengage and lift off, engine slows down. Then shift to 1st, dump the clutch. The engine wants to match wheel speed, but is too slow, and the wheels too fast. The wheels drive the engine, and lose their energy, slowing the car down. So bigger the engine, more energy will be lost, so the car will slow down even better. In a small car, the engine braking isn't very apparent unless done sharply. Might have broken the Viper's clutch, but is less expensive than the bodywork ;)

  • @ferraris26 Yeah, because thats def going to stop something going at that kind of speed....

  • @theoriginalca7erham Who said anything about a complete standstill...could have slowed him down enough to give some control back.

  • @ferraris26 Because complete lockup of just the rear wheels at above a hundred is very controllable....

  • @theoriginalca7erham It's a car, not a bike that the rear will lock up so easily. And honestly, would a lockup be worse? I don't think so :D

  • @ferraris26 Do me a favor: throw a car into first doing somewhere north of a hundred and tell me how controllable it would be. And no, it wouldnt be worse, but it wouldnt be better. By all means try to slow down using the engine, but dont do it stupidly

  • It wasn't brake failure, he was going too fast and was inexperienced. If you hear at the end the passenger had to tell him to turn the ignition off... You get a bunch of inexperienced kids that think they can go from their mom's corolla to a high end sports car and stuff like that happens.. those cars don't drive themselves like the mommy mobile does.

  • Unbelievable video! Hope everyone is fine

  • What do they mean "lose" the brakes? There's is no such thing as sudden fade. You would have to break at least 2 lines to lose brakes instantaneously.

  • @pf126p It's hard to tell, but something mechanical can break and cause a sudden and total failure of the system. The master cylinder can fail and then you can sometimes have nothing all at once. Even the pedal or rod to the master could have failed. A friend of mine had the brakes fail on a car he built at MidOhio because the pivot bolt for the pedal came out...

  • @NBSV1 Ever heard of engine braking, genius?

  • ROFL, you brake before the turn retard, never during the turn.... learn to race if your going to do that...

  • @Termanalor117 well obviously they were prolly fucking drifting or doing high speed turns duh,

  • @McOrca09 go race...

  • The problem is that the brakes of (most) american cars are designed to stop the car from 55mph - not to use them on a race track!

  • looks like it was flying man i wanna see what it looks like after that

  • most dodge have bad brakes

    something wrong with the design

my 96 dodge neon lost brakes at 100kmph nearly killed pedestrians

my 2002 dodge caravan lost brakes wrapped the car around a pole

last dodge was a ram i had the brakes seemed too small for its size

ill never buy a dodge again

  • @aein230 maybe you should slow your ass down and quit blaming the equipment.

  • wow glad to see they both seemed okay

  • this was a japanese model viper.

  • wow looks like your brakes got a little hot.

    glad you are OK hopefully

  • another reason i don't like vipers

  • @llllXeallll apart for their ultra-efficient traction controls?

  • @llllXeallll.............I agree my dad had a first generaction 95 RT/10

& it looks great & has decent power but always ran hot AC was junk

& the breas were crap you really need to know how to drive a car like that

no abs or traction controll........with all that said I would buy another in a heart beat

  • @llllXeallll because there was a 1 in a million brake failure? You think the Dodge Viper is known for brake failures or something? You have no idea what you are talking about.

  • @tigerswede3 uh have you ever been in a viper? i was in an srt10 by somebody i know is a good driver and he was barely able to keep the car straight becuase it has so much low end torque and almost no traction. So everytime he hit the gas (especially when turning) it throws the car sideways even if your trying to keep it straight. i said this was another reason, mainly as a joke, not the main reason. (also on a side note i just don't like the way the viper looks, and theyre tiny as hell)

  • @llllXeallll You can hear the brakes locked up. That is driver fail not car fail

  • Quality American parts right there!

  • it shows no one really lap here. This guy never had a chance to make the corner, the brake failed! But as for as i am concern, he shouldn't try to steer in that corner, because he his going way too fast for an hairpin anyway. he should have gone straight out we're you can see the gravel box ahead of him.And if somebody want to tell me in rwd car you can make the turn, forget it, i know how a rwd car act, because i have a 1200kg 320whp nissan skyline r32 that i am tracking and drifting.

  • The guy had less than a second to act, he was already committed to the corner, unfortunately his brakes failed. There was no time for him to think. And im sure your car makes you an expert, just like every douche with a big turbo on his japcrapbox is Michael Schumacher.

  • @deancarr10 If youre talking to me, i just said he had no chance to react, i dont care about that japcrapbox, it his just a fun car to drive on the track, it does nothing but that. OHh and micheal shumacher isnt what i am into, i am a gt sprint guy.

  • lucky to be alive

  • Scary.

  • u guys if your going that fast without brakes if you try to steer it wonbt do it that good

  • +1 For the safety equipment

  • I doubt it, but he is probably sore as hell, lol.

  • no he moved stuff after the crash hes not dead

  • WAY too fast for that corner!

  • eh lol quik instinct from the guy in white lol as you can see drivers mistake but if he had quiker instincts he wouldnt have had toaled the viper eh good thing its just a viper

  • Once my sister's friend's power streering gave out on the freeway :O

  • As soon as the pedal went to the floor, first instinct would be to down shift and pull the e brake slowly.

Maybe you'd slow down enough to keep it a repairable car. Not that I would've done the same thing, but I can make a fair analogy.

  • Diver error.

And this is exactly why the Viper has the highest insurance rate of ANY car in America.

Most owners wreck it within the first month of owning it =)

  • think yo too....to hav the money fpr the car means nutiin..u gotta learn to drive it till u go fast like dis

  • ....what?.......

  • english please!

  • Err. The brakes failed. The. Brakes. Failed.

Okay, we'll put you in a 400hp car with no brakes, and we won't tell you until you're hurtling down the main straight towards a corner. See how you take it.

    In short, you're stupid.

  • Are you saying that when you're coming at a turn in a RWD car...you don't steer? Something about not steering into a turn seems crazy to me. It's sort of instinct, when you want to get around the corner.

90% driver error? The crash happened because the car had no brakes. If the car had brakes, it would not have happened. With the brakes out at that speed nothing could stop it. That makes it 100% Viper error ;)

  • You watched Tokyo Drift one too many times. You start e-braking on a professionally run track, when not part of a drifting contest, all you are gonna get is a black flag and a personal escort off the property. The driver did make at least one error. While the vid is unclear, there should be a gravel trap straight off the corner, he should have headed for that straight on instead of trying to save it. Then instead of a wrecked viper, he might just have a stuck viper.

  • Comment removed

  • but you made that type of turn NOWHERE near as fast as that guy was going.. look at what the vid say.. top end of 4th gear..e was probably doing at least 120.

  • at least 600 hp ^.^

  • maybe you should learn to drive before hitting the race track ey?

  • but the tracks the only place you really learn how2 drive?!

or u 1of those real mean street racers??

  • driver error

  • turn the ignition off..? shouldnt that be the least of their worries..?? i would be thinkin..shit r my legs still workin?

  • you dont wanna blow up....

  • mahen: doesn't matter if your legs work IF YOU DIE IN A FIRE

  • Crash etiquette 101:

Fair question... with the ignition on, your fuel pump is still running. However enticing it is to blow up a Viper, race gas burns are not a pretty sight!

  • lol it sounded like he was saying " good job josh"

  • LMAO LMAO

  • fucking hell

  • i love how hes all calm they just turn off the ignition and are like ahhhh fuck there goes another quarter million dollar car

  • shoulda dumped that bitch into first gear and whiped it into a 360

  • foreal!!

  • took the words out of my fingers.

  • DAMN! Looks like they were ok....Turn the ignition off!!! lol

  • bet that was 10 x as slow for the driver a hate when you see it happen and cant stop it

  • FAIL!

  • Your comment is so common and boring.

  • I kinda wondered if it was a pay to drive deal or summin... I would fucking HATE to have a copilot like him.. he was reaching for the shifter and shit.

  • damn

  • That's why! Don't buy US crap!

    Hahaha!

  • lmfao

  • You know, it's safer just to feed $100 bills into a shredder.

  • agreed.

  • I think he went through the tire barrier

    HOW SAFE !!!

  • the tires arent always there to stop you as much as slow you down

  • ahjahahahahaha che pirla!!!

    ahahahahah a dumbass!

  • fail!

  • OMFG

  • the brand is called brembo not brendo

  • chrysler brakes for ya

  • there upside down lol

  • Ya, they are upside down. You can tell by the wire and the harness !

  • Since he found out that the breaks are gone, why didnt he start breaking with the gears?

  • doesnt do too much in high speeds when you're trying to corner like that, especially in a RWD.

  • @sideburns2009

But would always slow the car down a bit, or give the opportunity to spin it around but reducing the gear and hitting the gas. Well, at least that what I think I'd try to do, but then again you can never tell untill your in that position.

  • see viper suks

  • bad one. was going in way to fast under bad track circumstances. LOZER

  • "bad track circumstances"?? what do you mean???

His brakes failed. You have a split second to diagnose a problem and react to it in a racecar. This isn't his fault at all. Unless its his personal car that he maintains.

  • that 8.3L motor show what understeering is going on higher speeds

  • sounds like it rolled, i heard about 4 or 5 hits.

  • Awesome crash! I bet they were sore the next day.

  • NOOB.:-P

  • "Turn the ignition off" and GIVE ME THE FCKING KEYS

  • LMAO

  • HAHAHAHAHA

  • Damn those guys were really moving into that tyre wall, glad they were able to get out ok.

  • man american cas have big engines and acceleration more than any other.....But they dont have handlings.......THIS DOESNT MEAN THAT VIPER OR CORVVETE OR MUSTANG ARE NOT GOOD!!!!!with 4th gear on a turn and with that engine power is very difficult....!

  • i Remember this on the news...It Lost Its Brakes going into the corners...thats why they dident even slow down

  • WHAT A FUCKING GENIUS

  • dirty.

  • New Dummy Student Driver!

Viper KILLS all CARS on the Track and at 1/4 mile DRAGS in STOCK FORM.

Only Fag Drivers need computers 2 control 4 wheel traction, brakes, slip, wheel lock, etc.

    Grass+dirt+Any Car=Zero Traction!

ME?=8 States Racing SCCA Auto Cross!

Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, California!

  • Grass + Dirt + Subaru = amazing traction.

A viper is a bad ass car, but wont beat all cars on the track. anyways, if you were really an SCCA driver, you'd know there are different classes to racing, and that different classes mean different levels of cars.

Anyways, asphalt is for getting to the track, dirt is for racing on.

  • who cares about if its a shitty car or not...at least they are ok! that was crazy....

  • and thats why american cars suck

  • You're an idiot.

And being that you're from the U.S and have no pride for your own cars means something..

  • rofl. and youre a dumbass.

theres hella shit as to why american cars suck compared to other cars, but itd take too long to list them.

basic gist of it. american cars=nothing but power

and roflmao. just bcus i say american cars suck makes me hate america??

    1) youre a dumbass. if i find a mexican that hates tacos, does that mean he hates mexico?

    2) lol. you know, there's hella reasonable shit out there to not like america right now. but thats a frggin list, so yeah.

    step off bitch.

  • Wow..If it were at all possible id reach though this computer and beat your little face in but I can't..Watch your language little kid.

Don't tell me to step off nothin.

  • roflmao. now i know youre a dumbass.

after owning your ass with logic, you come back at me and tell me youd beat my ass just to prove youre somehow more awesome than me.

and to top that off, youre telling me to watch my language??? america's the fckin land of the free with the freedom of speech and now you want to control what i say?? lol. dumbass hypocrite. ill fckin say whatever i want and ill make you feel like an inferior dumbass.

so step off muthafcka and suck it hard kid.

  • thats what i love to see one less american bullshit car

  • I always laugh and think of you wankers when I see a V12 Faguar on the side of the road..

    Quit hatin' on Americans dude.

  • number 1 is "top end of 4th into a corner is just stupid" point number 2 why the fuck did the dumb fuck cut the corner its just americans thinking they can drive...

  • ..I am now just going to realize how ignorant you are "Americans can't drive"..WRONG ANSWER.

You ain't got a license yet son.

  • rofl. im not hating on americans. im hating on american cars.

and a jag would own a viper anyday.

    hard truth.

  • LOL!!!!WOW IN YOUR FUCKIN DREAMS

  • it probably would aswell lol

  • hmmm he was waaay fast coming in anyway...

  • they cought some air

  • Dude that sucks! Imagine getting a bill for 86K dollars US in the mail. He'll be working that off for the next 10 years of his life, ATLEAST. DAMN

  • not unless he's rich 86k isnt that much for fast cars lol..

  • dumbass..the brake pedal is in the middle not the right

  • The video says he lost brakes, not he stuffs up.

But one thing I dont understand, the moment he lost brakes he should have diverted the car away from the wall - even if he made the car glance it (rather than hitting head on). :s

  • Losing brakes is only an excuse ..... this was an inexperienced driver forgot to slow down and geardown in time. The instructor attempt with the left hand advise the idiot.....crash

    Only One thought...the viper...:(

  • I'm extremely surprised that they survived that to the extent they could just jump out and be fine. :O

  • "lost the brakes" eh? more like asshole driving to me.

  • it looks like they recked like 4 times.... glad ive never been in an accident(knock on wood)

  • I wish i could say the same, its scary as shit when those airbags come out

  • Wow that would have been scary, dont bag the guy driving they call them accidents for a reason.

  • good news: that guy can proably afford a new viper.

bad news: that crashed viper is STILL proably worth more than what you're currently driving.

  • LMFAO!

  • hahahahahaha

    SRT10 VIPER $80,000

    RACING HELMET $250

NOT DOWN SHIFTING AN EXPENSIVE CAR WHILE IN 4TH GEAR COMING UP ON A TURN AND TOTALING IT WITH A DUMB LOOK ON YOUR FACE......PRICELESS

LIFE COES AT YOU FAST FOR EVERYTHING ELSE THERE MASTER CARD

  • Haha nice 1 man. Best comment ;)

  • thank you thank i try

  • hahahahah

    the crash, shitty

    ur comment, even shittier

    not being funny? priceless

for every vedio, there is always a retard who thinks hes funny, but hes not.

  • hey i laughed

  • Hey FlyingAce1717. Good point. You would be that retard who thinks he's funny, but he's really not.

  • and who are u? the retard who crashed his car? or the retard who never heard of sarcasm? gofuckurself

  • ROFL. Sarcasm? That's not sarcasm. Your trying to flame someone for their comment, just like I am to yours.

How do you know i'm not being sarcastic? Exactly.

  • go to school, learn the language of english and maybe some common sense while ur at it.

  • Wow, nice joke.

  • You cant display sarcasm through the internet you fucking idiot. Its done through tone of voice.

  • its smart people like u who cant understand shit rofl.

  • Whats to understand? That the more you reply, the more of a dumbass hick you sound?

  • wow.. ur fucking retarded. how does what u say make any sense?

  • ahah. thats real

  • thats when your supposed to either, use the engine to slow you down(drop the gears) or spin it or use the e brake if it had it, or use all three, dumb guy just tryd to turn?
