Saw this band at a small club in Illinois. Fripp came up to chat to us in the line outside. This doesn't quite capture the madness of this group. The organ had the lid off with wires hanging out. Sara Lee was bopping around. Fripp was having fun. Loud!!
@PhysicsForTheFuture I agree, I saw them at the Cleveland Agora in 79, and it was LOUD... The audience was sitting and fairly quiet as they would be for a Crimson show, even in the front where there were no seats (Me and friends were sitting in the middle of club). The first thing Robert said when he came on stage and sat down was "the front area in front of the stage is for dancing"... immediately those in front stood up the band ripped into song... All were floored by the show.
a retard has no taste in music, nevertheless he makes stupid remarks about music of a genius...
Listen to "Suite No.1 - Giles, Giles and Fripp" (just for idiot's information) one of Fripp's first songs. maybe it will enlighten that little and narrow mind of yours
@sula311 dude, how could a shmuck like you know genius from retard? ans: you don't. they piss in your eye with random noise like this and you say its raining. no hope 4 ya
scmuck!?! ahahahaha!!! who uses a word "schmuck"? i think a "failed abortion" shouldnt be commentin this stuff anymore! nevertheless i feel sorry for you, you poor idiot. hahah, schmuck... i thought that word is used only in stupid american family movies...
@BetterTasteThanU man, open your mind... art is about expressing and creating feelings, and you should know that feelings are not black/white, they are abstract and mixed up... or maybe you are so simple minded that you only understand simple ideas/emotions and relate to simple music like stereotypical angry-metal, happy-pop, selfish-rap...
still, i understand if someone does not like abstract art... and you should also respect people who DO like it, even if you don't get it.
why isn't the crowd dancing? this is a dance band damn it...so sweet...fripps lead abilities peaking...kinda like fracture meets sailors tale...on ped's...
Fripp brought this show to Albany, NY that same year. Not to many showed up but those of us who did got to see a great show. I remember Fripp encouraging the audience to dance.
@SandSpock33-I saw that gig, too. Amazing group of musicians. Barry Andrews was former XTC and soon would form Shreikback; Sara Lee later did tons of session work, notably with a stripped down Gang of Four and B52s, and Fripp formed the next incarnation of King Crimson the following year. This was an interesting stop-gap for all of them. One recording, one tour... and that was that. I was lucky to see them.
great to see this.... i was a big fripp fan back then.. saw this tour in a pokey hole in manchester.. the psv club i believe! spoke to the man afterwards & asked for his autograph.... he said no!!! oh well.. still a good night.

@brushuk Hilarious, Robert Fripp can't stand the idea that he may also be a pop icon (LOL). Excellent stuff as always.
