I am actually not that crazy about the iphone, I admit- I do like at&t phones, their easier to use. But the coverage with verizon is just amazing, I am the only person in this house that has service. I can't imagine how verizon would have done if they accepted iphone, they probably would be unstoppable! It's combining the best network/service and one of the great phone out there together.

Bottom line is Verizon somehow... anyhow NEEDS the iPhone. I love iPhone but there is no way I'm switching back to AT&T's crappy network and customer service.  On the other hand, there is no phone in Verizon's arsenal that can ever even hold a glimmer of hope against the iPhone. widgets? You dont need to have your phones face full of app buttons...i have my facebook updates and weather staring me in the face when i turn mine on. And then theres multi tasking....its just as easy as hitting alt-tab to go between programs. The free navigation really is just as good as anything you are forced to buy on the apple store, and programmers for the droid arent locked out of using the phones core functions (contact list, media, bluetooth, wifi, ect) as they are on the iphone.

I also have an iPhone laying around which I used for a little bit until it got old really fast. It has a lot of limitations. Can you take a picture of something and have your phone tell you what it is and find you prices or where to get one???or even check the weather???

You can do all that with the droid and then use it to drive to the restaurant with navigation, then record a DVD quality video of your time there. Having a keyboard is better for playing games. Then there is the larger screen with higher resolution. Open source os so you're not locked out of features or have to hack it. Much more customizable. You have the ability to run 6 simultaneous apps and to remove the battery free of charge and replace it when it goes bad. Have fun with your iphone.

Apps are relative to a customer's needs. So what? The Apple store has 2 million apps, how many of those does a typical consumer really use? Nice technology story but where's the application story. The app store is a huge competitive advantage for Apple. I would not consider switching unless apps that I use everyday like NeuroMobile and others are available. Verizon/Motorola will need to channel their effort towards getting the developers of the most popular apps to support their platform to compete with the iPhone.
