  • It's amazing the effort the leftist are putting into discrediting the Tea Party. Check out the videos by NEW LEFT MEDIA as if those people reprsented the whole of the Tea Party movement.

  • Dana is so hot....and she's right too.

  • Wow - I guess going to a peaceful meeting and behaving like a loudmouth beligerent bloviating blowhard counts as the right wing's grass-roots movement. Sad.

  • @TheWorstOfTheTube Four consecutive enuendos, nicely done. You got stuck on the b's there at the end. lol Whats the difference between what you have posted and what you are accusing someone of? Is it ok because you are the one doing it now?

  • @TheWorstOfTheTube Yah, that's right. Don't have a point? Start calling people names.

  • Comment removed

  • I nominate Dana Loesch for president. Anyone second the nomination?

If you have ever listened to her on 97.1-FM Talk or seen her in action a a Tea Party then you know what I mean.

  • Anyone who doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're" shouldn't be allowed to make presidential nominations based on how "smart" they think someone is.

  • Not allowed to use apostrophe in the user name you idiot.

  • Then your name should be YoureAnnoying, YOU idiot.

  • no they shouldn't, because that would be just as wrong. You idiot.

  • Actually its brilliant if you dont know how long your post will be because most of the time you are looking for ways to shorten characters in these tiny reply boxes. I often need to go back and change my "and's" to "&" my "you's" to U's or my your's to ur's or my "because's" to "cause" or my too's to 2 etc. Might seems a bit dumb to do that, and theres some who might not do it for the same reasons but I know I do it sometimes when I think my reply might exceed the # of characters

  • User names don't contribute toward post length. Brilliance is fading...

If you exceed the number of allotted words, just make another post. That way you don't look like you're some ignorant cow-polk using txting slang.

  • I've seen her in action at a Tea Party if you know what I mean. ;) lololol

  • We, in the USA, pay a ridiculous amt of money per person for healh care & the health insurance companies continue to skim off billions.

More illumination needs to be placed on the subject so that many in the public become aware of what's really going on.

  • It's a disgrace to the Founding Fathers to refer to every outbreak of misdirected anger by rednecks as a "Tea Party."

  • For all of you bemoaning this as unwanted taxation and restrictios where the hell were you when almost a trillion dollars were spent on wars or when no child left behind was instituted. One of the things this legislation fixes is the damage Clinton and the Republicans did in 1995 with the Health Insurance Portability Act of 1995. Its time for change!

  • Burdensome..

    LIFE is burdensome.

MY life is burdensome. How DARE you think you have the right to show up out of nowhere and demand to be an ADDITIONAL burden on me just because you've so far failed to demonstrate the maturity and self reliance to pay for your own damn life!

  • I love the fact that I see people standing up for themselves. We need to go to Washington - when someone is there - and protest peacefully - as these people did!

  • Had "good" insurance and still couldn't afford to take care of myself. I'm now 34 without insurance and I have teeth rotting out of my face. I could die from this. I really don't want to die yet! Last week I was bitten on the hand by a stray cat... my hand is the size of a boxing glove.... THANKFULLY I was able to get my girlfriends antibiotics she was taking for a sinus infection, but they don't seem to be helping. I can still contribute to this society..... someone PLEASE HELP ME!

  • You are telling me that you were denied care at an ER or a clinic for the hand bite? That there are no assistance programs available now in your area to get dental health?

Look, I am swimming in medical debt, and with a fam of 5 & inc of one, we are barely making it to our paycheck. There needs to be reform, but the reform bill being proposed now is going to screw you and everyone else again in the long run.

  • There is no dental assistance in my area that I know of, I've checked. Within the past 3 months or so I've heard read in the paper about 3 guys, from this SAME small town, all about the same age as me, all dying from infections in their heart from teeth problems. I wonder each night if I'll be waking up in the morning. How am I going to afford a trip to the ER or clinic? If I go my family wont eat and the lights (or more) will be shut off... it's not cheap. HR 676 is the best bill so far.

  • That's awful-what did your local soc serv dept tell you? What was the resp from the news stories? The ER here had a prgm avail b/c I could not afford to pay even w/ins (but it is still breaking our fam, & I had to cash out my IRA to help our fam). Unfortunately, HR 676 is part of HR3200. With 3200, you might just be in the same spot you are now b/c the gov't can't pay for it anymore b/c it sucked everyone dry, or the gov't committee denies you care.

  • NO govt committee would deny care.... that's part of the propaganda put out by the right wingers that are in the pocket of the big insurance companies. As far as the soc serv dept.... they do have a program to help, but you have to be unemployed and prove to them that you're currently "looking for a job".... well, I've started my own business here at home and I'm not about to go out and look for other work.... In that case, I would rather die than give up on my dream. I don't qualify.

  • Are you talking about HR 676? It would help if you put the Res number you are talking about. We need to go for the best bill, that's for sure... you can't pick bad bill parts out of a bill, that may never end up in the final bill anyway, and say reform it a bad idea because of that. The fact is... heath insurance gets more money when they deny you care... they are PROFIT driven... they save money by denying you care and it happens ALL THE TIME. Why not complain about whats already happening?

  • These aren't the only provisions that sound like they were written by George Orwell, there's hundreds of crap like this in the " reform bill ". Even if they were serious about healthcare this bill is not the answer...it's terrible and needs to be scrapped......if you haven't read the bill please do....there's no way you could support it if you saw some of these provisions

  • If you think insurance companies ration their care....you just wait till a govt committee has to make decisions and stay on budget....yikes

    t

  • HAHA... nice try. More propaganda! Nobody is going to FORCE you into a public plan... you can keep paying your big profit driven insurance company if you like. Heath insurance companies deny people care ALL THE TIME... even when you've been faithfully paying them for years. It happens ALL THE TIME. No govt committee is going to make those decisions... it's going to be between you and your doctor.

  • ShiekYerbooty - You never told me which bill, even after I asked you several times. Please provide a link to the bill you are reading? Or did you read that from an email? The version of HR3200 I just read says NOTHING of the things you just posted, I just went to check it out. I've been calling my Congress people about HR676... that's the bill I support. Anything less SHOULD be voted out. I never claimed to support HR 3200, so I don't know what your mission with me is?

  • Let me ask you again... WHICH BILL ARE YOU TAKING ABOUT PLEASE?

  • If you have a swollen hand due to infection, any emergency room in the nation is legally required to treat you. You have absolutely NO SYMPATHY from me or any sensible, responsible person.

But I think you're making this shit up. And you're not very good at it either.

  • Whatever, dude. I don't need your approval, nor your sympathy. Why would I bother making this up?

Just for anyone else reading this. Since Ive been taking the antibiotics the swelling from the cat bite has gone down a bit but still very painful. Its a weird feeling to move and feel the back of your hand jiggle. If its not looking better Monday I will need to visit the clinic. Im more concerned about the teeth causing an infection in my heart. 3 people in my area have recently died from this

  • for someone who doesn't need my approval or sympathy, you sure do put in a lot of detail about your illnesses and cry for a lot of HELP.

GO TO AN EMERGENCY ROOM if you have life threatening infectious conditions. THEY ARE LEGALLY REQUIRED TO TREAT YOU.

And by the way, Obama's health care plan is scheduled to kick in ... in the year 2013.

Good luck with those infections and the dental problems for the next four years.

  • Wait wait wait.... how do you know what President "Obamas Health Care Plan" is? Last I heard he's still looking at several options. No bill has even been voted on yet.... so what makes you think it will take until 2013?

  • That would be the implementation date of the present house bill.

    ANything else?

Do YOU think "Obamacare" will kick in fast enough to keep you from dying like those three other people from 'your area'? Does government every do ANYTHING quickly and properly? Have you tried to trade in a clunker for cash this week?

No worries though.. if you're old enough, he'll just tell you 'take the painkiller' and not give you any life saving treatment at all.

  • and WHY HAVEN"T YOU GONE TO AN EMERGENCY ROOM, WHERE THEY ARE LEGALLY REQUIRED TO GIVE YOU TREATMENT FOR DANGEROUS CONDITIONS LIKE INFECTIONS WHILE NOT REQUIRING ANY PAYMENT IN ADVANCE?!?!?!?!?!

in fact, you seem quite lucid and calm on a saturday morning. Aren't you supposed to be panicking, running in the streets shouting "why won't anyone give me free health care, can't you see I'm dying here?!?!"

Go get your already-free health care. Leave the rest of us out of it.

  • Being treated in an emergency room, whether they are legally required to treat you or not, is still going to run into the thousands of dollars. Ridiculous.

  • But TRILLIONS of dollars on top of an already staggering national debt and annual deficit? Priceless.

Amazing how you are 'worried' about spending a few thousand of other people's money in an ER, but you're happy to spend TRILLIONS of other people's money in a massive boondoggle that will ruin health care for everyone.

  • These people are backwoods, uneducated Missourians, so this looks and sounds about right! :p Seriously though, these people would protest a million dollars being given to them.

The funny thing is McCaskill went out of her way to set this up for these people, and they show up and act like ass's. How many times has the "RIGHT" done this??? Yeah I thought so.

  • Excuse me? Must you begin your viewpoint with an insult? Why should I or anyone take you seriously if you must belittle those that disagree?

HR3200 is a monolith of bureaucracy, which the majority of our reps have not rd through, as well as Pres BO.

Were you at this mtg? If you were, you would understand that this was held to answer people's questions and address concerns regarding the reform. Her rep was not knowledgeable or helpful. And there were some acting like "asses" from BOTH sides.

  • No, these people are not backwoods, they are Americans willing to stand up for their rights. Government Healthcare should not be shoved down the throats of Americans that don't want it! They are the backbone of America, people who have worked hard for what they have, and don't want to take on the responsibility of supporting people that are irresponsible, that mooch off of the Government, which by the way, is your neighbor, money doesn't grow on trees in Washington, D.C.! WE WORK hard for it

  • YAH.... FREE HEALTH CARE that's more affordable on the taxpayer than the current system.... LETS RIOT!!!

If you don't want the public option, fine, simply keep paying your insurance company and stay on your private plan.... what's the boggle?

  • As I mentioned before, please read the actual bill. You will understand what the "boogle" is about.

  • Which one are you talking about? HR676? I've read it.... it's a good read. Dental care will also be covered... which I need.

  • Why is this health care thing making you people so crazy? It would be comparable to the public education option. If you don't think it is up to your standards, you get private health care, just like when you prefer a private school over a public.

  • No.. not a correct comparison. For one thing, with the bill in it's present form, there is nothing stopping some one who is on this plan to have an elective abortion paid for by the plan. Look at the Family Planning sections (family planning is discussed in multiple sections). I do not support elective abortions. If there is a stipulation I missed, please enlighten me.

  • I don't support war, and yet half of my taxes go toward burning Iraqi and Afghani babies. And you're worried about lumps of cells? Get your priorities straight.

  • Between the lines of the emotional & borderline insulting diatribe, I get your point (sideline note - by the time the pregnancy is realized it is no longer just a lump of cells).

Pls don't assume that those against THIS bill means they are against reform. Far from it. Hell, I am swimming in med debt, & have forgone req'd scripts & med appts for myself to insure I can get my kids to a doc when they need it. We need reform, but THIS bill is a bureaucratic mess, & wont put patient's rights first

  • I bet you are one of those liberals that support aborting babies! We do not burn Iraqi or Afghani babies. Our men and women protect you from being burned and you live in the United States, probably a leach, using your free speech that is protected because our men and women will fight for your rights!

  • I don't support aborting babies. It's not a good solution. However, I don't draw distinctions between money used for abortions and money that is used to, intentionally or not, kill men, women, and children who aren't our enemies (not to mention kill our own people).

Thanks for assuming a lot. MegaCrapola is a very appropriate name for you.

  • "I don't support war", and yet your nation and your family and fellow citizens have bled and died for decades to give you this sweet life and protect you from harm..

If you truly disapprove of all military offense or defense ("don't support war") then you owe it to people who died for your safety and freedom to GET THE HELL OUT and go somewhere where the country lives by that philosophy... and we'll see how long you HAVE a country.. shallow, superficial dope..

  • I have family in the military who feel the same way I do. Only dumbasses like you resort to that "love it or leave it" shit because you're intolerant of any other viewpoint outside of your narrow scope of vision.

Pretty much every country that approaches or surpasses our economic strength has socialized medicine. What's stopping us from enjoying this? All the "LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT MY COUNTRY RIGHT OR WRONG GETCHA HANDS OFFA MY CASH" dumbasses.

  • By the way, did any network besides Fox carry this shitty cellphone quality video? No? Could it be because this is a monumentally small news story that doesn't warrant national attention anywhere other than the wretched Fox News Network? This crap is barely better than the 700 Club.

  • "family in military feel same way I do" yeah and I bet you have lots of black friends too.

You called me bourgeois... Marx talk from the 19th century... and you think I"m stuck in the past... anyone ever tell you how many people got 'oppressed' by Marx talk? 100 million dead and counting.

And it isn't my country right or wrong, you morally crippled would-be dictator.. it's my country BECAUSE ITS RIGHT and when it's wrong I say so. Grow up, get a spine, and we can talk. Leftist crapweasel.

  • What's wrong with having black friends?

  • Okay, you've just announced that you're entirely too stupid to bother wasting another response on... so, you are the weakest link... goodbye.

  • 1 trillion / ~300,000,000 Americans = $3,333 per American

(health insurance for one year = $12,700 per family on average) + (existing national health care costs = $7,900 per person) = a grand total of $11,000+ per American

    Which is cheaper now, assface?

By the way, quoting a game show that is now almost a decade old (and whose main quip was already old back and overused back then) is really lame.

You never said what's wrong with having black friends.

  • what's stopping us from enjoying socialized medicine? Same thing that stops everyone in countries that HAVE IT from ENJOYING IT. Low level of care, restricted supply of care and MASSIVE CRIPPLING TAXES to pay for shitty care. Ever notice people come from all over the world to get American health care? Where will they go when we start 'enjoying' our own socialist crapfest?

Grow up, learn history, be responsible instead of being a thief scrabbling for moral high ground.

  • once again... page 16 of the House bill.. private insurance companies would be FORBIDDEN from SELLING TO NEW CUSTOMERS.

I don't know ANY company that can SURVIVE such a restriction. Not to mention that I will not be able to choose to keep a coverage that my employer will DROP because of COST, which he will CERTAINLY do whenever govt offers med. care at a CHEAPER cost. It's not fair competition when govt doesn't have to make a PROFIT, only increase taxes on people.

  • Jesus, you teabaggers are a bunch of exhausting idiots. Just shouting wild speculation into intertubes with a complete disregard for anything remotely reasonable.

  • Please re-read your latest comment "thisaintsweettea," and let me know how I - and others - would be swayed to listen to your point on view. The spew of insults just demonstrates lack of respect to someone else's viewpoint, and a lack of intellect.

  • On a side note - I guess it is pretty cool that you got Winona Ryder to support your cause.

  • Also, what's really so bad about a national healthcare pool for people who can't afford care from insurance providers? As I understand things, you can stay with your soul-sucking insurance company if you want, or you can opt to be on the public healthcare system. Where's the problem? The current system is economically unsustainable - I thought Republicans were about the most fiscally responsible decisions.

  • Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of business and economics knows that the government can't be the referee *and* a business participant in the health care industry. The government option, which anyone with common sense knows will be infinitely subsidized by the taxpayer, will (by design) put the private health care insurers out of business.

  • I wouldn't be sad to see private health care insurers go out of business. They've been bilking us for decades and can drop us at a moment's notice. If that isn't "unrefereed," I don't know what is. I would rather have an uncertain but possible good outcome with social healthcare than the current system. We're already blowing more tax dollar on healthcare than anything besides the military, so why not put that money to a more effective use?

  • When Congress is ready to place themselves on the same plan they want to foist on the rest of us we'll talk about it again.

  • Who says they won't? If the system kills insurance companies, they won't have any option. If it doesn't, then you can still keep your private insurance. Meanwhile, millions of low-income kids and adults have better lives. Sounds like a good trade-off.

  • BHO doesn't know what's all in it, a dem wont rd it w/out 2 atty to help, and we can't vote on bill that will affect EVERYONE in some way, it would behoove us to actually rd it.

Here is your "good trade off": Do an adv search: H.RES.3200, dt rng range 7/14-7/30 at thomas-loc-gov.

Or rd static PDF ver AAHCA-BillText-071409.pdf at edlabor-house-gov.

Ck out p932 - just PART of costs we will end up paying four:Preventative and Wellness Trust fund -init $30.8 BIL

*I can't put urls in comment*

  • $100 in taxes from every American to go toward establishing a fund intended to get our society unhooked from an IV of McDonalds and reality television also seems like a good trade-off to me.

  • So, does that mean you read the HC bill? I think not based on your comment.

You should b/c you may very well end up with the Gov't option when your employer realizes that 8% penalty is cheaper than 12% or more in HC costs to offer their employees priv health ins.

And will you still think the trade off is sill good when gov't imposes penalties on any lifestyle choice that could possibly affect your health negatively? Where is the cut-off point?

And screw State Sovereignty w/ this bill.

  • Kelly, if a company drops their health insurance plan that means a person gets whatever they put into it each month instead of it going to the plan, so you can still go out and get a private plan. Regardless, that is a benefit, companies aren't gonna drop something that is a desirable aspect of a job unless they are in really bad shape. Most companies still have to be competitive for skilled, educated, people. Believe it or not many still give signing bonuses depending on what the job is.

  • YOu don't know much about the rules of their game, do you? Private insurance companies are very restricted, have been for decades, can't do ANY of the things you think they can.

  • Well, I currently have zero health insurance, and so I feel any is better than none. All of you people complaining about how this will affect you don't seem to give a rats' ass about all of the people (at best) ignoring their health and (at worst) hurt and dying due to lack of money to pay for healthcare. I guess that's social Darwinism at work, though, eh?

  • Have you tried to get it? Looked into your options? Are you poor? then you have medicaid. THAT IS HEALTH INSURANCE. And if you're NOT poor, you should just find a way to buy it and quit whining about how mean other people are.

Make some better damn choices in your life, whiner. My obligation to be charitable in my personal life does NOT translate into your right to dig around in my wallet. I'm not rich but I have my priorities straight.

  • "I currently have zero health insurance"... aww, poor baby... interesting how you haven't given ANY details.

I had no health insurance throughout my 20's.. WHY? I wanted the MONEY and didn't want to pay the PREMIUMS, so I didn't. I got a bit older, decided I might not be in the best of health in the future, and started paying for it.

What is YOUR problem? If you're poor, use Medicaid. If you're old, use Medicare. If you're neither, PAY FOR YOUR OWN DAMN INSURANCE, like I do..

  • I am one of those lucky Americans who makes enough to not qualify for Medicaid, but for whom health insurance is a burdensome investment on a month by month basis. My employer also does not supply me with any benefits. Not all of us have extra money for niceties like health insurance.

The obvious choice would be to get a new job, which I'm working on, but since the Fat Cats and deregulators have fucked the economy, I'm SOL there too.

  • Okay, so it's 'burdensome'. SO IS MY TAX BILL.

Thanks to guys like you who haven't planned well or prioritized well, it's going to get BIGGER.

and your lovely new health care system we'll be enslaved to pay for? IT will decide when you're too old, or when you've made yourself too fat or sick, to CONTINUE LIVING.

Enslave yourself if you like, but leave ME out of it.

"Niceties" like health insurance? IT's A NECESSITY, unless you're a leech with his hand out.

    "fat cats". WHINER, LOSER..

  • TWOTT

I will NEVER understand a world in which those who shuck responsibility, take the easy way out and blame OTHERS for their own failings can still demand that other people PAY FOR THEIR STUFF.... without any SHAME or EMBARRASSMENT.

GROW UP, take some responsibility, DO WHAT IT TAKES. I'm first in line to charitably support the needy, but you're not needy, you're just immature and lazy! GET OUT OF THE WAGON AND PULL, for once.

  • Congrats - you're an asshole!

  • I should add that I think it is very responsible for a group of people who face a similar situation to pool their money to correct the problem. We already have socialized health care programs for the elderly and the poor, so why not for everyone else? Why would anyone want a cutthroat insurance provider versus a government guarantee that you are provided for? No one is going to be unplugging grandma, and if you're worried about that, you're too stupid to participate in a real conversation.

  • You base your assertions on premises that I challenge.

"cutthroat ins. providers' are heavily regulated and are simply not permitted to do the stuff you complain about. YOU"RE WRONG. If you knew the regs, you wouldn't be saying this dumb stuff.

"government guarantee"... that's only as good as the money. If they run low, the guarantee is OVER. and they WILL run low, from the beginning, because socialism only works on a large scare until you run out of OTHER PEOPLE"S MONEY.

  • argument over... the last refuge of the thoroughly defeated? CALL THE OTHER GUY NAMES.

Call me whatever you want. JUST STAY OUT OF MY WALLET. I got enough problems.

  • :P

You put the "ass" in "compASSionate conservative."*

Seriously, you started the name-calling when you called me a "poor baby," "a whiner," and "a loser."

I guess you don't mind people dipping in your wallet when your money's used to disenfranchise and kill other people, but as soon as poor people being helped are involved, you're all "STAY OUTTA MAH WALLET."

You stupid bourgeois fascist fucker. Enjoy your Hummers, McDonalds, and reality tv.

    * misspelling intional, ass

  • whatever your ironic intent, you did not mispell any words, intentionally or otherwise. Colossal ironic fail.

I might be a bourgeois fascist fucker, but the 'stupid' part belongs entirely to you.

Don't own a hummer, don't eat at mcdonalds, hate reality TV. Can't afford to eat out. Too much taxpaying going on. So don't talk like you know me, buttface, because you DON"T. You can only hate on me by putting favorite lefty labels on me. YOU DON"T KNOW ME, and I don't OWE YOU.

  • You have a frickin' TRUCKLOAD of presumptions about me to kick around and NONE of them are true! You're hatin' on a STRAW MAN, one of the things lefties do BEST.

meanwhile you STILL want to have other people work their asses off to pay for YOUR shit, and when they complain about it you dump on THEM. WHO MADE YOU MY SON? MY ELDERLY DAD? MY CHARITY? I have ENOUGH things that honor and duty compel me to pay for.. GO PAY FOR YOUR OWN things, shitbird.....

  • I hope you realize how stupid these tea parties are. The Boston Tea Party was held because people were being taxed and weren't represented. We all have representation now, and our elected officials are voting for us accordingly. If you don't like how they vote on issues, don't support them. Where was all of this concern during the multi-trillion-dollar Bush wars? Where are the complaints about Reagan, who doubled the national debt? Quit whining because you're not the dominant party anymore.

  • How can you say we are being represented when these people aren't even reading the bills they are voting on? Even Obama doesn't know what is in the health care bill he is promoting. Ridiculous! Stop pointing to past indiscretions to excuse for current bad behavior. Overspending, overtaxation, and intentional devaluation of our currency has been a work in progress on both sides of the aisle for almost a century now and it is time to correct it before we hit the brick wall.

  • If it's been a work on both sides of the aisle, then why are all of these people coming out of the woodwork now? It just screams knee-jerk reactionism to me. Obama has been in office for just half a year now, and these tea-baggers have put up a bigger stink about these issues (which have been ongoing and a direct result of past indiscretions) than anything in the past 30 years. People are just scared of Obama, for whatever reason, and so they turn into a mob.

  • It seems you do not know what the 2009 'tea parties' are about. "We are a non-partisan, non-profit, issues based org. united by our shared core values to preserve the Constitutional Rights of WE THE PEOPLE of the United States of America, by limiting government; constraining government spending and taxation; and advancing a free market economy." Core values include: "Limited Government, Fiscal Responsibility, States Rights, National Sovereignty , Personal Responsibility, The Rule of Law."

  • Sounds pretty "Joe The Plumber" to me...

  • Where the hell were your tea parties in 2001 and 2002 and 2003 and 2004 and 2005??? You ass holes are the biggest bunch of dumb asses on the fucking planet. No wonder the rest of the world looks at the US and say, fuck, what a bunch of idiots!

Lets see, 1 Trillion over 10 years to provide health care for everyone or 3.7 TRILLION over the last 8 years to wage war, and that isnt even a complete number, that was just the "Official Budget"

    You all are hypocrites!

  • Great Job Dana!
