They are a very creative band. The spongebob thing was amazing. They played good music and they have a powerful rich sound. This band probably could drown out a damn train.

FAMU was gettin ready for something much bigger, the Superbowl, thus they opted not to even be considered for the Honda BOTB. And may I add they sounded so good at the Superbowl. That sound was so delicious... but then again did we expect anything less? lol

It's a damn dance routine. Of course it's going to feature contemporary, popular crap most "in-kids" these days adore. Why? Because Southern kids get bored easily. I mean, atleast people *enjoy* and look forward to the show rather than tediously wait for the end of some boring, inanimate "Army of Nile" crap no one really cares about. There is more to FAMU than just outright dancing and blasting notes. Occassion CALLS for it.
FAMU is the only band that dances while playing. All of the SWAC Bands either put their instruments down or let only the drummers and Tubas play. Let's really evaluate the bands properly...
