  • I keep coming back to this tune, can't get enough,, I never heard it before this clip was posted. Sure seems like it inspired rock and roll songs in later decades

  • It sure did! Western Swing was one of the roots of Rock & Roll. And that is precisely the reason Bob Wills is in both the Country and Rock & Roll Halls of Fame.

  • @gringoflamenco This is a cover song of the 1928 song " Keep Knocking and You Can't Get In" by Boodle It Wiggins. The most famous version of this song was in 1957 with Lil Richard "Keep a Knockin'"

  • Wills and the Playboys were ahead of their time. This early stuff rocks

  • Western Swing - Bob Wills was the best at it, IMO.
