how do you pull off the multi tracks, especially with the audio?

I just got an idea with one of the songs willing to try out for a sax/trumpet duet, but instead of a video of playing it, use picture animation instead..

You need a recording program like Audacity or Sony Acid. If your not going to use a backing track to play along to like I do then I would recommend your first recording track be nothing but clicks from a metronome to give you a tempo to follow and keep all your tracks in sync. you can take it away when ur done. But after you record your first track just hit stop. then go to the beginning and hit record again and it will record a secong track while playing your first so you can hear it.
