There are tons of small areas, to be exact - 4 small areas in 1 region. 4 regions in total. I finished the game in 3 hours after starting out with 1000 light seeds.

no the puzzles really are OTT, and i play the silent hill games, and their puzzles are worse than this, it pushes patience and is really only useful if you want achivements quick.

this game is too easy.. on PC all you have to do is hold and occasionally hold a key for the prince to do acrobatics... Sands of TIme trilogy was way better... i excepted more from the game

The only SoT game that actually lasted in terms of appeal and quality on a genuine scale was the first one, Warrior Within and Two Thrones were not only painfully rushed and ridden with occasional bugs, but did nothing to benefit the character turning him into a generic piss-off to an equally generic emo. At keast this game has a little more polish and less of a rush factor to its elements.

@masterofdoom5000 I feel the same way watching this, though I've never played the game. They're making it too easy by making it less likely that you'll die. True, they probably did this because of the amount of jumps a person could accidently miss, but the only way you'll really die in this game is if you try absolutely hard to get killed by an enemy which, by the way, are very few in numbers, all you have here is repetitive battles(not as intense either)

@namenase Agreed. I am also noticing alot of the whole landscape platforming/free running thing in other games, will this become just like the fps genre, a few good picks but usually same deal and no entertainment? this is why I have both a PS3 & and a wii,>=D

@masterofdoom5000 I see your point but I don't see how dying makes a game harder, in the sands of time trilogy, you used the dagger of time to get back, in this, there's Elika. It's basically the same. In that you go to the last checkpoint. In this to the last flat surface. In this the 'deaths' happen, in the other games, it's undo'ed' So this is a bit more realistic. This is supposed to be a family friendly game though. :)

@HK81LFC Death is a penalty for making a mistake, in a game like this a mistake is just treated as a redo button, there is no penalty but time, in the trilogy you had a LIMITED amount of sand, and could only rewind a certain distance back, so not only do you need to not make mistakes as much, when they occur you have to hope you have caught the mistake in time to reverse it from happening, I'm sure many will agree they have reversed time half a second too late and they still die

@masterofdoom5000 Yes, I was a big fan of the Sands of Time trilogy but I see your point, It would have been better if they had a difficulty setting in this game. But Ubisoft (and me) can't see how they could use a difficulty setting in the game. Hopefully they will figure out a way in the sequel, I hope there is one.

@HK81LFC difficulty can be added through more enemies, more damage taken, larger costs from mistakes, etc., little things like that, but they need to be incorporated into the game itself, you can't just plaster maybe 2 or 3 more opponents, up their HP and say its worth another entire playthrough

The landscapes and puzzles remind me of SOT, which is good.

Had the same problem: go to the top area where you fight the hunter and then climb on top of the wall (The one with the fertile ground on the oder side) and wotch towards the middle of the battle ground, there is a seed richt near the spining axis.

I hope this helps it was my last seed and it took me forever to find it.

I'm not a troll.I love the POP series.And I was excited when I heard this new one was coming out.I felt uneasy when i heard about the cel-shade graphics and new storyline but I got used to both. The gameplay is really repetitive tho.The 1 on 1 fights seem more epic at 1st, but it gets boring even with the improved AI.I just didnt like this game at all. And the fact that it says "Sure contender for game of the year" on the back of the box makes me laugh. But w/e God of War 3 will cheer me up.

I ca only say the same thing as LittleDangrMouse. It takes not milking this game for what it's worth to judge it like that. This game is the most well-refined PoP game since the first SoT. Assassin's Creed suffered FAR worse from the repetition than this game did. Good quality is not found in challenge, but in good polish and execution, which this game nails; A lack of a challnge isn't worth anymore than nitpicking.

Yeah, from what I've played thus far, you cannot die in Prince of Persia. If you fall, Elika saves you. If you get viciously attacked by an enemy/boss, Elika saves you, etc. The way she saves you is... you see her hand pulling you out of the shadowy darkness, from falling, etc and any other death sequences.
