Our budgerigar can't be rubbed on the neck. He goes crazy if you try to touch him anywhere but the beak or the feet. Then again, he makes up for it by being a dentist and doing weird things with his head. Lovely movie though. If you wanna see our budgey I have a few movies with him on my account. :)

All you have to do is give your baby time and if he is alone think about being very dedicated to him and if you are always out or there is no-one else in most of the day think about leaving the radio on but you may want to consider another budgie

I got a budgie. It sat and watched it, and when I tried to put it back in it's cage, it made scolding noises. I had to let it watch it. It can imitate noises. It's been saying 'wind in yer sails' constantly. It imitates Cotton's parrot. The humans are a bit too complicated for him at the moment, as he's quite young.

Rupert is adorable and it is obvious you are very kind to him because he trusts you so much. I wanted to warn you about letting him play with coins, the metals in them can be toxic to birds. You might try switching the coins for plastic buttons, those would be safe. He is a terrific bird, you really have done wonderfuly with him.
