@QBJ88 International Rescue's way of saying "Acknowledged" or something along those lines, even though we'll never really know what F.A.B. actually stands for.
@BladeRunerUnit99S Well, there's no "official" definition of what it means (even Sylvia Anderson admitted it stood for "absolutely nothing") so I stand by what I said.
The bridge falling with the train on-top, should of been far more bigger. It cuts from a wide shot of the bridge snapping in two, with carriages on either side, to a shot where it's obvious the special effects guys are just dropping dust and the odd piece of wood. Where's the train and bridge gone; vanished into thin air?
I wouldn't bet on Grafton going to jail just for the crash. His monorail has no more loop holes or flaws than every other engineering project in Thunderbirds. I'm thinking Fireflash that can only stay in the air for about 3 hours before everyone aboard dies of radiation poisoning or the Empire state building collapsing because no one did a survey of the ground they would move it too or thompson towers sprinkler systems and vent seals failing. I bet he only ended up in jail for the robberies.
What were those two guys in the helijet still hanging around for if they were dead certain the train couldn't be stopped? Did they want to watch people die?
Has anyone noticed that both Scott and Virgil are wearing their hats whilst flying in this episode, but in other eps they alternate between not wearing them at all, or only one (usually Scott) wearing a hat? xD
@7677890 I always thought, when it the heli-jet crashed into it, and there was a shot of the lines and signals on the bridge being electrocuted, that it just sent a shockwave across the bridge, and one spark led to another. But I see what you mean.
What does F.A.B mean?

And the moral of this story is: Never use self exploding concrete in a civil engineering project. :-o

@diegs20 too true.
Shane Rimmer who voiced Scott appeared in a Bond film once and as soon as I heard him talk I thought-that's GOT to be Scott T!!

6:58 if only people like that were put in jail...... Sadly our government will find ways of bailing them out of it just for money!

I think why the bridge keeps on exploding its because the bridge has power lines.

In't it weird that when the bridge explodes , but the train doesn't when it hits the bottom of the revine
edwardtheblueengine1 2 years ago 5
The train probably didn't explode because of budget restrictions. The bridge sure did enough exploding long before the train arrived though.
What gets me is why the undamaged end of the bridge keeps on exploding as well.

@7677890 Certain metals can suddenly give way under pressure, exploding, like glass. No fire, though. That's just the firecracker special effects:P

Virgil always has to do the heard work scott just sits on the sidelines doing sod all.
AaronIzzard 2 years ago 3
Scott is supervisor plus health & safety, so he will stand around doing sod all leaving Virgil to do all the grunt work.
mukatuna 2 years ago
That's not always true. Scott does get his hands dirty sometimes. Like in 'City of Fire'.
