To those who don't know Sidious very well - read up on his Expanded Universe exploits :P He is IMMENSELY powerful, that much he makes every other Sith Lord (literally, any sith lord you can name) to absolute shame -- they've got nothing on him.
Truth is the Sith Lord had to be superior in manipulation not just force powers. Darth Sidious formed plans within plans and he could fool people with psychic powers no less the gullible masses who likely were grateful just to have the war be over after the Confederates were destroyed.

Mace didn't win, Sidious let him win because he knew Anakin was coming so he was making it out like Mace was the bad one, and it worked, Darth Vader was born just after. Sidious needs to fight in the original trilogy! Hes crap in it compared to 1, 2 and 3!

@timetodepop I dunno. The fact is that the Sith victory would not have been possible if it was not for the millions of clone troopers. Troopers the Jedi forgot were loyal to the Chancallor, and not loyal to them. Sidious also had a nack for turning the Jedi into his pawns, which lead to their downfall.
@EvilSylv His manipulation give him great power - but bare in mind his control of the force was even above Vader, as Vader wouldn't even consider a solo duel against him.

Awesome video. People want to hate on Sidious especially when he fought the much beloved Mace Windu, but for the rest of us that aren't in denial Sidious would have won that fight had he not set up the whole thing.
actually i love sidious but i still think windu won the saber fight but had they had a force battl like yoda and sidious mace wouldve lost easily if he ran out of energy
What makes you think Mace Windu won it? Look at the fight sequence again, Sidious had Mace in the palm of his hand. A simple thrust forward at the right moment would have been the death of Sidious - but that wasn't his plan.
