  • El motín en los cielos lo montaba él en cada concierto sintiendo lo que cantaba, autentico

  • Why don't I kill anyone? Because I can not !!

  • one word to describe this epic fucking song: onslaught

  • Thank you for this.

  • Respect!

  • I first heard this track on John Peel (much missed) before it was released, sitting in a mate's car while he was scoring. It just left me totally cold. the most intense effect any track has ever had on me. it's still just as amazing now. Probably the best track ever recorded. Listen to the studio version - yes, it is on soulseek!

  • isn't this @ La Edad de Oro?

  • I love Mick Harvey yelling out for Bingo to shut up. Very much the spirit of the early days...

  • Great and fucking cool!!!

  • GREAT Stuff!!! LOve B'day Party!

  • I think I was there. I certainly saw Nick Cave in Camden around this time. I remember it as an extraordinary gig, with a real sense of danger. This doesn't disabuse me of that notion.

Most intense and extraordinary song he ever wrote - which is saying something.

  • @pdu4691

I was there too, you are right about the 'sense of danger'... the tension was tangible and it was so fucking hot......I missed some of the gig as I had to get out for a while....it's rather embarrassing to admit that now!

  • hey ntzounis thanks for this, this is vintage Birthday Party stuf. I was there , and fuck me it was fucking awesome@@@@@@@@@@ signed an old cunt

  • Fuckin' goosebumps! The Birthday Party/ Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds rule!

  • Wow. This is pretty much my favorite song ever. I wish I was there to see this. Too bad I was 11 and had no idea of The Birthday Party for 4 more years...

Thanks for posting this awsome video...

  • Haha, I thought Nick and Mick were getting on with Bingo at this point.

  • Jesus, I couldn't imagine this being better.

  • Haha, I just loved hearing the "Shut up, Bingo!"

  • Fan-fucking-tastic!!!

  • Utter brilliance

  • I've never used Soulseek, but I'd be tempted to figure it out if this stuff is still available there... Is it?

  • Well i guess they are still available but finding them is just straight luck...You can try though!

  • Amazing!!

When exactly was this? Theres Blixa,Mick on Drums and B.Adamson there but who is doing backing vox??

  • This has to be late '83..Nick's band was still called The Cavemen and the other guy on vocals and guitar is Hugo Race.

  • @ntzounis I thought it was Jim Thirwell myself could be wrong

  • the gig was billed as Nick with the 'cavemen' but the introduced themselves as 'Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds

  • i think my chest is about to explode. this is one of a kind, and up there with cave's best works. no other song could do justice the self-destruction of TBP.

  • Incredible to find this on YouTube! Got some of this gig off Soulseek once - rare as fuck I might add, even Nick Cave Collector's Hell don't seem to know it exists - but never got this song. Actual footage! Of Mutiny! You fuckin rule!

  • Got it from Soulseek myself..

    cheers!

  • What I had though was .flac audio files, and I've no idea where the hell they've gone. I converted two to mp3 at some stage: Avalanche (starts with Carmina Buruna) and Cabin Fever. Do you have videos of all the rest of this gig as well?

  • Well i have uploaded Well of Misery, but as far as Cabin Fever and Avalanche i could not find them anywhere..Anyway i think there are some more videos of this gig in youtube (In the Ghetto etc.)...

  • Could anyone make a transcript of the words exchanged before the song begins?

  • can i get a hell yeah

  • Such a different time, age, lifestyle. But it's lovely. It's amazing. all should be exposed. I love it. Forever and always. =]

  • birthday party, this is real music! nick is one of the world's sexiest men.

  • If I could give you a thousand thumbs up, I would. Infinite. So true. On all counts.

  • FUCKIN' WINGS BURST OUT MY BACK

  • Amazing.

  • fucking dancer this was on youtube ages ago but disappeared :( so glad its back
