  • all chould never leave a animal to die and i had a pet mouse, this vid is so touching i cryed watching it

  • I actually applauded. To see such a little guy grow up into a healthy mouse was awesome.! Faved definitely.

  • this is cool.

  • Hand him over. I want him now.

  • Good people give me hope.

  • this is such a sweet video

  • Reminds me of the little mouse I rescued. She was 10 days old when I found her. I fed her kitten formuls and kept her cage warm by placing a heating pad on low wrapped in a towel underneath, till she was old enough to regulate her own body temp. I still have her.

  • i love you oscar !!

  • he cute

  • This is so sweet of you! There are only few people who would do such a thing :)

I also recently had to take some care of a wild mouse that nearly froze to death being trapped between a window and a mosquito net. It was easier though since the mouse was already old enough to eat, so a night in a warm nest in my house were enough to get him all fine again :)

  • that is the sweetest vid ever!! what were you feeding him with the syringe when he was a baby?? I found a baby mouse (that my cat had gotten) rescued it, and kept it for about 4 days, tried everything to keep him alive, but there isn't much help on the internet for baby mice. he sadly died while I was holding him in my hands, I wish I would have known what he needed to survive.

  • do you know what this song is x i'v learnt how to play the first verse on piano and i'd love to be able to finish it x

  • Very lovely video. You must have put a lot of effort taking care of him the way you did... Looks like he appreciated it too!

  • What a lovely mouse!!!

  • Beautiful video. How much formula , how many times a day did you feed it? I had a 2 week old I found, had trouble trying to feed it. It would not want to drink. Died after 3 days. ?????? They seem to be fragile little critters.

  • the mouse had to be at least 2 weeks old when you found him otherwise he'd have had no hair. they're pink and hairless and really really tiny when first born. they dont start getting any hair till at least a week after birth, and a full coat takes time. eyes open at around 3-4 weeks

  • Such a beautiful video :)

  • The little critters so cute!!!!!

  • this video made me happy ^^

  • What a lovely video, is he still with you?

  • So cute!!! Good job!!!

  • This really made my day too.Life can go either two ways for miserable and heart breaking or the best thing ever by embracing love and care. Wow what a fantastic job you did with that mouse.I wish when my female mouse has baby mice I hope I can have at least one mouse that I can be attatched to like you were with Oscar. Please would you post more videos on Oscar since he's so interesting to see. I would really enjoy this.

    Live long Oscar

  • does he like you?

  • :) cute !!!!!!!!!

  • Finally a mouse with a good life, and not thrown in a tank with a Savannah Monitor, Spider, Toad or anything like that.

  • Adorable video. I have also been a mouse-momma. I found this video from the "related videos" box from my own vid about the baby mouse I raised. I remember the day my baby got out as well! I ransacked my room, just like you. I was so scared. But I finally sat down in exhaustion on the middle of the floor with my mouse's teddy bear, and moments later the little tyke crawled straight out to me and curled up on his bear. Mice can be such little sweethearts!

  • This video made my week <3 So precious. Thank you for saving him and posting this.

  • cute man , lol

    hope he lives long :)

  • what do you feed them, every now and then my cat will find one and i have no idea what to feed them

  • If it's smaller than your index finger.. I think you need to feed it cat milk formula which you can get at a pet store. .. then feed it with a small dropper. If it can eat solid food.. perhaps sunflower seeds.. or hamster food? Not so sure.. I just know that if it is too young.. feeding it solid food and seeds will not help much for it's survival.

  • I meant kitty milk formula

  • omg I cant believe I cried. I'm kind of emotional right now because yesterday the baby mouse I found and tried to rescue died. I did everything possible. I became so attached to it for 3 days... but sadly it passed away in my hands. I could tell the moment it died because it began to convulse and then became still. I'm so glad though to see a happy ending with Oscar.

  • I also rescued a baby mouse about two days ago. He was in the middle of the street, eyes closed and soaked from the rain. I took him home and he got better but today he convulsed and went still and peed himself. He was dead for a few seconds I believe because he stopped breathing and then I started rubbing his stomach, forcing him to breathe and he came back. He's still eating right now and moving about a lot more. I hope he makes it.

  • Wow.. good luck and I hope the baby mouse makes it. They are so fragile and helpless... =(

  • He didn't make it. Shortly after I posted my comment, maybe an hour or so later I fed him again and he ran around a bit and started convulsing and went limp. I got him to start breathing a few times but he just wasn't strong enough and died in my hands as well. And I really had wanted to get him better to release back into the woods. Poor thing :(

  • THAT VIDEO WAS AWESOME, made me so happy

  • how much did you feed him per meal? i am taking care of a baby too :S

  • i have a baby mouse her name is kiki

  • Wonderful Video! More, Oscar Please!

  • That was really nice Thank you for a great video

  • You are a good mouse mom.

  • I agree with Boombella, Oscar's a very lucky mouse to have someone take care of him!

  • He is a very lucky mouse. I like his big ears!

  • This video kills me with cuteness! It's wonderful that you love him so much. :)

  • 2 days ago (19/08/2007) I decided to not record a sad thing. I walked through a field with trees, birds, shrubs with big blackberries and many grass plants to finaly loose Oscar in the wild (I thought that was the better I could do for him). I found a good place, kneeled and opened Oscar's box putting it by it side on the ground. Oscar was very stressed! He went many times to the limit of the box but never cross over, just smelling the grass.

  • Than I knocked in the box to encourage him and he went out. He seemed very confused and stuned, and went smeeling everything. Suddenly he climed my foot and stayed there. I approached my hand and he stayed quiet watching everything with his big eyes, underneath my jeans and didn't go away.

  • So I take him in my hands back into his box. I was all tears in my way home my friends. I'll never could guess that with all that space he didn't run away. I'll never do that again. His my Oscar now and forever... :0*

  • Very cute, you MUST keep him now, he loves you :)

  • Its very good that you did that. With mice, after being raised by humans, they should stay with humans. He is no longer a wild mouse. You are his caretaker. I am glad he found such a nice persoN!

  • The same thing happened to me! I have a wild mouse that I've had for a year now, Almond Joy. When she was still a young mouse, I released her outside. She went and hid under a rock. And hour later, I checked to make sure she left, and she was still sitting there! So I scooped her back up, and now she's my mouse :) She's too obsessed with her wheel to let her go now!

  • That is so adorable! :)

  • Hi jaycolin01. That's a lovely song, isn't it?

Song Title: Dreams in a Pie (Eat up, it's supper time); Performed by: Maaya Sakamoto; Lyrics by: Chris Mosdell; Composer: Yoko Kanno.

I found out that it is background in a game called "Napple Tale"!

    Thank you for the comment. Bye bye ;0}

  • How old did you think Oscar was when you found him? How did he exactly get there?

Does he think your his parent? Does he act like a wild mouse? So eventually after escaping he crawled back to sleep with you. I'll be waitin for next one

  • Well... I'm not sure but I think he felt down from pipes that were above Xiva's house (Xiva is a female dog of mine).

When he was a baby with his eyes shut he prefered my hand to the hand of another person. Now I can put him in my hand and give him water with the seringe or give him food, but if he feels someone coming he go nuts and stressed and already happened jump to the floor and run away. He his now much more shy.

  • However he let me pat him. His behaviour is very diferent from the wild mice... with ME. He don´t bites, he climes to my hand. But with another person he will behaves just like a wild mouse. Conclusion: Yes, he behaves like the wild mice, the diference is that I'm not a mouse! lol :0) (Sorry about my english)
