I vape with mine all the time in public, I'm 19 and live on a college campus, has been pretty reliable, the one can of butane cost me 6 bucks and it's lasted me since december, and I vape daily, several times a day. Also mflb rocks I have one too but I always loose batteries so I'm to irresponsible for mflb :p but I've enjoyed the iolite and its not too loud so its nice.
Dunno if it has been asked previously but how many uses or like "heat ups" does it go through before you would have to refill the butane? Like would I be able to go a few days without refilling it if i use it like twice to four times a day.
i just wanted to ask and plz im looking for a clear answer. how long do you need to vape for the vaporizer to reach full temperature when vaping weed AND hash???
I just bought one for the wife but I don't understand the point of vaporizers, are they just for people who believe the lies peddled about tobacco...? who want to waste good herb stick it in a machine and inhale nothing, get zero buzz and waste it..?
The iolite box however is impressive as are the instructions and carry case.
these things are peices of garbage. my buddy dropped his on the carpeted floor and it doesnt work nemore. flat out waste of money. go buy a fucking 5 dollar pipe and smoke weed like a normal person.
The part of the mouthpiece that screws into the herb chamber keeps fusing and basically becoming solid with the herb chamber, which makes removing and cleaning the mesh screens impossible so I end up having to buy a new herb chamber. Any ideas on how to release the two?
Why the fuck does this use BUTANE for heating?? Butane is a nasty toxic gas. The point of vaporizing is to MINIMIZE carcinogens and harmful materials, and here we are using fucking butane.
That's like making an electric car, and then putting a gas tank in it so you can blast the AC.
I'm curious if anyone has had to "vent" the excess butane gas from the iolite. was it an easy procedure or was in finicky? this is a main concern of mine as liquid butane can cause frostbite if it contacts the skin.
@jojeda11able I just bought both and love them both. Each has there advantages and disadvantages. For compactness this one wins hands down. For discreetness that is very debatable since this one is easier to conceil from the eye but is noisey where as the NO2 is a bit bigger but completely silent. No2 takes about a mintue to heat up, iolite is about 5 min. The only thing that i dont like so far is that it gets really. and reliability isn't the best. took me about 10-15 clicks to get startd
Just to clarify, I am a CONSUMER, I am not here to answer complaints you may have against Oglesby & Butler or any dealer. Please do post comments and ask things you think I or others can help with. I have been using Iolites for two years now. But I am not a rep,do not own a store and have no affiliation. This is not an advert, it is a how-to-use guide. I put a lot of my own time into my published iolite guide and these videos for no other reason than to share what I have learnt. Thanks
I JUST BOUGHT MY IOLITE 3 WEEKS AGO AND ALREADY ITS NOT WORKING?!?! WHEN I TURN IT FROM 0 TO 1 THERE IS NO HISSING SOUND NO MORE? IT JUST RANDOMLY HAPPEND? IT WAS WORKING PERFECTLY FINE AND THEN ONE DAY IT JUST STOP HISSING? I HAVE WENT ON THE WEBSITE AND LOOKED AT THE SUPPORT SECTION DID WHAT IT SAID AND STILL NOTHING???!?! ANYBODY CAN HELP PLZ1?!?!
@kaa10 Did you release butane gas from the IO before refilling it. If you keep refilling it will stop working just the way lighters do. The IO needs to be full of liquid, did you ever notice how lighters over time don't fill full? It is because of the gas trapped in them. The venturi on the IO is smaller than a lighter and gets blocked with cheap butane and wont work with gas. Try calling the support number, in the EU 353 59 9143333 In North America 888-710-3055 or email Ciaran at my-iolite
Why? The Launch Box gets hotter (especially with 2700mah AA's). It has a desktop adapter and can be plugged into a car adapter too. It also has no garbage butane and no weak ass hits like you get from the Iolite.
@tdaness Its a personal thing, the MFLB certainly does the job v well, but for me I hate having to charge batteries, like how I can toke from the IO wihtout having to on/off the power walking down the street, and can rely on the temperature thermostat. The IO has its flaws, but for me it fits my requirements. I do wish the IO had an adjustable thermostat and that it didn't run on after you switch off. Anybody watching this video should also check out the MFLB and make their choice, or buy both!
If you're curious about the iloite, keep looking for another vape.If this thing was $150 cheaper it might be worth it but it's $200 most places & it sure ain't worth $200.It's butane powered so you're avoiding smoke but now you get butane fumes which is probably worse than smoke,i dunno. Also it has no butane level window so you never really know if it's full or empty & I've had a hard time filling the dang thing so far.Mine runs out of butane after about 1.5 runs.So in all I'm pretty disappointed
@shortz101 The exhaust is water vapour and carbon dioxide. Worse than smoke? Also when filling any butane device, the butane liquid turns to gas and you need to release the gas to get plenty of liquid in it. Ever notice how hard it is to completely refill a butane lighter? Best fill is by venting it when it is low and starting fresh. Agree shame there is no level window.
@frogbmth I dunno man, i have fumes. Even after waiting for the heater to stop & she's totally silent, i give her a little wave to disperse the fumes. If i don't give it a wave or two, i can smell a little gas when i bring the mouthpiece to my mouth.
@shortz101 Butane manufacturers add a smell to the gas, it has no natural smell. The smell is still in the exhaust. Doesn't mean it's fumes. But if it is faulty return it, should be no fumes at all.
@kennyk2007 I have nothing to gain by talking smack about this product as opposed to the majority of vids posted here on youtube that are preaching the Iolite gospel in exchange for a free machine. I would actually love for this thing to work properly because I, myself, blew $200 on it. I'm just trying to save some people from blowing their $200 on a machine that runs on butane, emits butane fumes, & doesn't have a fuel level window. Butane fumes will exist if 100% of the butane is not combusted
@shortz101 Well I got the black one as a free gift, and not for any agreement to make videos, but I bought the iInhale with my own cash 6 months earlier and put a lot of work into my original pdf iolite guide and helped peeps and the dealer later gifted me the black one I liked the look of as a thank you. Just trying to help people understand what this thing can do and how to use it. Best place to read about any vape is fuckcombustion - the good bad and ugly of them all is right there.
I have heard of people walking around the streets using it....put it in a mcdonalds cupmatch the straw with the tub of the iolite and act like your drinking
Amazing what you stumble across on Youtube. Excellent videos I have watched 1-4. I am an ex pat in the USA and have been vaping for around 18 months. I still smoke cigs as well :( Although I have cut down from 60 to under twenty. The problem I have with nicotine liquid is the missing Alkaloids. Which apparently are present and help with nicotine absorption. Perhaps that is what I am missing from total vaping. I often thought of growing my own tobacco but didnt know what to do with it.
@Nicotinejuice Yes there is nicotine in tobacco molasses, some brands are stronger than others. The IO is as different to ecigs as ecigs are to cigarettes. A completely different experience. Andy
Hey frog i got an iolite and although i didn't get visible vapor it worked! for the mouth piece the second section of the extension your using that goes into the unremovable tip that is attached to the herb chamber is it supposed to be easily taken out. mine doesnt stick in place, if i were to hang it upside down and shake it gently it falls out. is this normal????
I just bought an iolite yesterday and i read the quick start guide and about one page of the tiny user manual and i was STONED IN NO TIME! This is a GREAT investment, me and a friend used it on an outdoor public area then went into Burger king to enjoy a nice meal of getting fat! niceeee

@danny2516 In your experience what vape is better and suitable for smokers to use with tobacco, shisha and e-liquid and also portable? Cano isnt exactly portable
@bizzle187 ya but annoying as fuck putting the battery in and out to take hits. then theres always a dumbass friend who uses it wrong and burns the weed in you flight box. of which then you have to clean. At least the iolite is dumb ass proof, turn it on and no fumbling with anything. maybe read how the butane is converted into water vapor and expeled out the port and at no time the butane comes in contact with your herbs. built with safe plastics too. youre a dumb ass.
I change my screen every couple of months. It doesnt need doing to be honest if you only use tobacco. Brush it out and it would be fine. It is easy to change, at some point I will do a maintenance video. Andy
2. small grooves at the base right where the stem goes in
3. I wait a bit between draws
4. either is good I think depends on the effect you want
I love mine. The flavor of not burning is taking a little while to get used to (just got mine this week) I want to go completely from smoking to vaporizing. I think I may even buy a home style unit and use the Iolite on the go.
Im quite sure that the majority of people that use this don't use it for any of the items you showed lets face the reality it is best for cannabis use.
Well yes, but that could lead to the video being taken down for a TOS violation, along with incriminating the uploader. You'll also notice that most websites that sell this will "suggest" it's for tobacco and other "legal herbal blends", for much the same reasons.
Well I have been off cigarettes for a year thanks to the iolite and I don't use any illegal substances in it. I am happy to be the minority and feel loads better for it :-)
This thing works like a charm. Fantastic product.
Highly recommended.

2. Where exactly does the air draw from when you take hits. I've been trying to figure this out lol.
3. I prefer large hits. Is it best to take a hit, and let it mellow for a min or so until the next? Or should i just puff away?
4. big bowl packs or small?
