There are benefits and drawbacks to both, but it's really your personal preference. The Tri is a little cheaper (one less motor and ESC), offers greater yaw authority, but will require you to set up a mech. assembly and use a servo.
Quad uses no servo or yaw mech, but will cost a little more in gear.

@Shawnee845 Yes, all the motors are spinning in the same direction. It has been determined that it is best to set up one of the front motors to turn in the opposite direction so that the airframe stays more level in flight. I was interested in seeing what would happen with all of the motors spinning the same with the Flight Stabilization system that I used (I wondered if it would work well, or if the FSS would really put up a fight). It turns out that it works just fine!
I thought I was looking at Kevin Nash for a bit there O_O.

Cant decide on quad or tri for my first multy rotor , any reasons to pick either?
