  • Voevoda at his peak was frightening, like a force of nature. But what of the Swede who broke Nathan Jones arm? Jones was something like 70 pounds larger than Voevoda and around 8 inches taller and built like a battleship. But the Swede broke his arm. I haven't heard of the Swede vs Voevoda. There was a great one from years ago, Roy Ridgely also Scott Norton. But they were of an earlier generation of competitors.

  • @skirts365 your talking about Magnus Samuelsson, hes a beast i think he could be one of the best in the world if he started competing

  • @1GibbZ Now that you mention the name I recall it, and he had blond hair and maybe blue eyes like so many Northern types.

  • @1GibbZ Magnus did compete in arm wrestling before he went to strongman (hence why he managed to break the arm of the 6,10" Nathan Jones). I don't know exactly how successful he was but he was the guy interviewing him in his training video on youtube said he was Europe's best arm wrestler at one point. Don't know whether he had a title or whatever.

Would be cool if he want back to it now he's done with strongman. He's like 6,6"-6,7" and about 330 lbs, and has hands like Andre the Giant.

  • Comment removed

  • @skirts365 Yeah but Nathan Jones had no armwrestling technique and Magnus was also stronger despite being smaller, but I dont think even he would stand a chance against Voevoda at his peak,

  • @Thomasgipsy Too bad we can't see a match that never happened. It would have drawn interest from all over.

  • @dumitrualex go fuck yourself

  • I enjoy it how M.Todd losed every round:D

  • ципленков рулит!!

  • voevoda todd 6 0 todd oncescu 6 0 voevoda oncesc 12 0 or 6 minus....

  • Here is the problem with the "greatest ever" argument. Imagine if armwrestling paid like pro football or baseball etc. Just imagine todays pro athletes specifically training for armwrestling, monsters of a sport like football would be groomed from a very early age. The top armwrestlers of today are just fringe athletes. Not taking anything away from the brzenk's of the world, but you gotta know the sport (and its heroes) would be completely different if it had a market and people made a living .

  • воевода монстр:)!

  • Man, nobody can beat Voevoda in the right hand, maybe a horse using all his legs...

  • Что за музыка?

  • это можно смотреть вечно!

  • fuckiu mychel tod for oncescu

  • i didnc any match or any challenge just ownage!

  • Larrat vs Voevoda for the best armwrestler of the world!

  • My point is simple...I'm a Larratt fan, but lets be realistic, until he goes against the big pullers from The former USSR, I dont think hes the best! No one in North America can beat him, so when he wins a match on this side of the pond is it really a victory or just practice? I hope he does smoke all the Russians and proves me wrong but like they say...seeing is believing.

  • Look at nemiroff 2011...The #2 ranked puller in the world got embarrased by a man almost half his size....and people wanted to see a Larratt/jerry supermatch?? Still want to?? I doubt it.

  • So Devon Larratt is the king right now...but who has he arm wrestled in the past couple of years? Todd, Underwood, John, And "big mouth" Bagent who hasnt won a match since god knows when. Until he goes against the Russian pullers, he hasnt pulled ANYONE!! Look at it this way, Can anyone in North America beat him now? NO. So until he takes the fight to the Russians, and beats Arsen, Rustum, Khadzimurat(Yes! Khadzimurat), Denis, and Pushkar, He is maybe top 3. YOUR #1 PULLER IS IN RUSSIA!!

  • @dennis198007 wrong..number one puller is in CANADA

  • One Todd fan lol

  • Voevoda was so far ahead of Todd here it wasn't even funny. The only round Todd actually almost managed to get his shoulder press in was 4, and Alexey very quickly adapted and pulled straight through it.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm sorry but even if voevoda came back he would still b too much for devon larratt unless larratt got on the juice then he might have a chance but I doubt it.

  • Michael Todd dislikes this video!

  • @TheALEXG95 :)))))

  • Voevoda is like Terminator!

  • Beast....

  • michael todd game over!~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • where were they? lol

  • he fuked this redneck

just look at his face when voevoda woops him he cant believe wat happened

  • Alexey Voevoda is the best. WIthout even trying,Voevoda made Michael Todd look like a pre-pubscent little boy trying desperately to beat his Daddy yet failing miserably. Sadly, the public always wants a good guy to represent the sport, they want a role model for children. That's why they say Brzenk is the best. But to be brutaly honest, NO version of Brzenk stands a chance against 2004 Voevoda. And last time they pulled Voevoda crushed Brzenk. Although Brzenk is a great man who did great things

  • @ThurmanRaj brzenk was always ready for rematch...where was voevoda?

  • @ThurmanRaj I think your wrong about no version of Brzenk could beat Voeovda. Alexey beat a 94kg injured Brzenk at Zloty 2004, he had 30kg on him. Engin Terzi who does the world rankings thinks a 2006 Brzenk could beat Alexey and anyone in any format, he recently posted this on northeast board.

  • @kasparov9 can you give me the link to that thread or post please!

  • @Spandex08 Hi, what link you referring too?

  • @kasparov9 2006 "Brzenk could beat Alexey and anyone in any format, he recently posted this on northeast board."

    - can you give the link to the post?

Also my opinion is that voevoda at his peak was unbeatable. Dream match for me would be Voevoda vs. Larratt - but again I think Voevoda would win.

  • @Spandex08 Larratt vs Voevoda would be great, to be fair though, when Alexey was strongest in 2004, John was quite small at 94kg and injured from Taras the round before. I dont think he has faced anyone as strong as Devon. It only appears as though he was unbeatable as you can't imagine him losing.

I sent you a pm for the link.

  • @kasparov9 "It only appears as though he was unbeatable as you can't imagine him losing." That is a very good point right there. Very well said. it may be true. But I have never seen - EVER brzenk losing fast like that from anyone until the 0-6 loss against vs Devon.

I saw the thread - good thing Engin puts Alexy 2004 at second place - I would place it as a tie with John Brzenk from 2006 vegas.

Also what happened in 2006 that left such an impression on Engin? - Was it Farid Usmanov fight?

  • as far as i know,Brenzk was also injured, when he faced with Larratt!I would like to see John 2006 or 2009 (when he beat Deins) against the current Laratt!

  • @ahladisme

well current larratt is also a machine he developed his arm strength so much and his endurance is unbelievable even the 2006 version of john lost to farid 1 round best of 3 so i think everything is possible!!

  • @ThurmanRaj Here is Engin 10 best the last 10 years: if i would do a ranking of last 10 years then it would be; 1- 2006 John 2- 2004 Alexy 3- 2006 Ferit 4- 2011 Pushkar 5- 2011 Devon 6- 2010 Jerry 7- 2006 Travis 8- 2010 Cyplenkov 9- 2011 M.Todd 10-2005 Matt Girdner
  • @kasparov9

i dont think so a 2004 voevoda and 2006 brzenk is very close but in my opinion i think voevoda is better and stronger and that match could go either way i dont know but it would be epic thats 4 sure i think we will never know what will happen if that match happen!!!

  • @ThurmanRaj BOshit. Brzenk in his prime beats everybody. Ask around, son.

  • @ThurmanRaj you can't compare when their best forms haven't been matched up. thats like saying cavendish is better than chippolini. we'll just never know

  • @ThurmanRaj Ummmmmm last time they pulled Brzenk was injured and Voevoda outweighed by 60+ pounds. He is suppose to beat him when you outweigh someone by 60 plus pounds. 2006 brzenk would give Voevoda a good challange.

  • @TheMightykaz Exactly, Terzi even thinks that 2006 Vegas John could beat anyone, including Voevoda.

  • Comment removed

  • @ThurmanRaj Brzenk was less than 225, closer to 210, and was 40+ years old... I sure hope 290+ pound heavy weight Voevoda could beat a middle weight old man.

  • @ThurmanRaj I used to think the same, until I saw pushkar give Voevoda a struggle about 20 days after Zloty 2004. Keep in mind that the 2007 Brzenk played with Pushkar before beating him easily. This is not my opinion but what has actually happened. Logic tells me that a 2007 Brzenk would have beaten a top notch Voevoda. You may not like it, but then again..that's too bad. You have my sympathy. Lick your wounds son.

  • @TheRationalTeller We can argue all day about who beats who. We'll never know with Voevoda/Brzenk. They faced once and John was spent and Alexey outweighed him bigtime. I love watching John pull to death, and have met him many times, but Alexey wins 9/10 times when facing John no matter John weight. Ive talked to John about this, he said Alexey is just too strong. Engin is also not the end all be all on armwrestling/good perspective but opinion nonetheless. Alexey winsEZ

  • @uscgckatwalker I will argue all day so take a walk. My logic still stands regardless and if you think your puny comment undermines mine, than you must be in fourth grade and have a lot of my sympathy, believe me.. John is very humble; of course he'll say that. And if Alexey was way to strong for John, Alexey would beat him 10/10 times, not 9/10 times, so you're wrong there as well. Like I said, the pushkar that gave Voevoda a *FIGHT* was DESTROYED by BRZENK a few years later. Good day :)

  • @TheRationalTeller He only gave him a fight becaused he dead wrist him!!! Watch the match!! Voevoda was in control the whole time!!! THEN Voevoda messed his sh!t up!!! And NO, your whole 10/10 vs 9/10 is bullcrap. John is way ore technical and experienced than Alexey--meaning he can find a weakness and exploit it much better that Voevoda. Try again pal. Argue all day long, makes no difference Keyboard warrior.

  • @uscgckatwalker Take a look at the voice of reason of Kasparov below!! He's been to major tourneys and knows who's who. He claims that Engin said that a "2006 Brzenk could beat anyone, including Voevoda." I agree. Now get lost before I make you look even worse than a fourth grader.

  • @ThurmanRaj you're right.Voevoda is stronger than any version of Brzenk.

But the reason people say Brzenk is the best ever, which he is , is because he has been the best or among the best for over 20 years.

U must take into consideration that Voevoda ,Bagent,Todd,Cyplenkov, Larrat, etc - are all bigger/heavier than he is. But despite that he competed and often beat them.

As for Alexey Voevoda, he is the strongest armwrestler I've ever seen.Hope he comes back to kick Laratt's ass.

  • @ThurmanRaj you have no clue... Voevoda was the best 1 year !! just 1 little year, only because brzenk was injured and 40kg smaler. He never wanted a rematch... everybody knows why ;) And at this time, Micahel Todd wasn't near the best, he lost to Ron Bath 5:1 few months ago. Michael Todd entered the top 3 of the world in this year 2012. This videos was 5 years ago. Get your facts straight ! ;)

  • @Armwrestlingchef SUREEEEEEEE AHAHAHAAHAH HEAR ME,todd can just win with his cheater move, staying donw the table and waiting the opponet get tired ahahahahahah IN A REAL WAR, FACE TO FACE,WITHOUT USING LOOSERS LOCKING TECHNIQUE VOEVODA,PUSHKAR,CYPLENKOV,LARRATT,JOHN WILL DESTROY TODD EVERY TIME 6-0 AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • Comment removed

  • haha, "monster" Ron Bath meets his Daddy. I'm really happy to see this arrogant jerk get crushed by the Real Deal. And @chrisconnell, Voevoda KILLS Bagent with the right every single time. Can you show one single video where Bagent beats Voevoda in the right?

  • devon now vs. alexey 2004 or 2007 would be too epic to watch

  • when are we gonna see some matchups?larratt vs voevoda, brzenk vs voevoda, voevoda vs bagent[left]etc etc

    times f running out!

  • @fatsmut Voeveda vs Bagent has been done multiple times left and right. Bagent kills him with the left (they had a best of 5 and I think Bagent beat hadidly), while they split with the right with Voeveda taking the most recent match. Larratt, in my opinion, picks his spots one who he faces. He really hasn't faced the big dogs from Russia. Cyplenkov showed up at the Arnold classic (USA), and won with his weak arm and Bagent was in the stands watching. Larrat was nowhere to be found either.

  • @chrisconnell agreed,no one showed up at the arnolds!credit to cyplenkov he showed.bagent was there watching.i think larratt could have made it.brzenk i think was injured at the time.it should have been bagent vs cyplenkov left at least!

  • @fatsmut I have heard that Bagent is going to be at the Nemiroff World Cup along with Cadorette. Pushkar is a regular, so he's probably going to show and Cyplenkov never turns down a challenge. If this is true,it's going to be the deepest Nemiroff has been since 2004.With that being said, I just saw recent video of (a much smaller) Bagent getting his ASS kicked (right hand mind you) by Don Underwood (check it out). He looked a lot smaller. Hopefully he trains hard the next couple of months.

  • @chrisconnell Travis' right arm isn't anything like what it was 5 years ago, and he'll admit that himself.

Lefty though he's still top 2 on the planet, and the only other guy is Denis. I sincerely hope they pull at Zloty because that will be the best left handed match ever.

  • What's the name of this song????

  • Shame Voevoda left the sport, especially seeing as he left just as Devon was becoming the force he is now. Those two could have some ridiculous matches.

Personally, I think as long as Devon stays with Alexey off the go, and doesn't let his hit get the better of him, then Devon is the clear favourite to win. You'd have to assume that Alexey is the stronger man in terms of sheer lifting power, but Devon is perfectly built for arm wrestling, and so technically sound. Devon's the man for sure.

  • @headcaseman According to a world of armwrestling article last year in August, Alexey is planning a comback after surgery, so fingers crossed. I think he is the only one that has a chance at defeating Devon, he has that power.

  • @headcaseman Alexey has plenty of time to comeback, armwrestlers tend to peak around 42-45 so he has another 15 years:) Look at Richard Lukpes, came back after 16 years!

  • if there was a match between alexey and larrat at there best (when larrat beats brzenk at the 6 round match),, who would win???

  • @saltarazan That's a tough question, the experts think Larrat would win in a 6 rounds format. I think it would be very close, in terms of skill Larratt would be ahead, in terms of endurance Larratt would be ahead, in terms of strength it would be very very close.

  • @saltarazan Well it depends what type of a match you're referring too, in a Tournament type match single/double elimination Voevoda has a strong chance if he's able to get Devon within his comfort zone & his side of the table, In a 6 round match Devon would win IMO.

  • TODD IS A BEAST, ONE OF THE MOST STRONG PULLERS,BUT VOEVODA OWNS HIM LIKE A CHILD.IMPRESSIVE!

  • @masterpatric07 Todd is much stronger now.:)

  • where is he now ??? anybody knows ?

  • Comment removed

  • incredibil Voevoda...sunt un mare fan de-al sau

  • larrat himself knows he can not beat voevoda.

  • @masterpatric07 That's not true at all, in fact it would be Voevoda who would be afraid at the moment, he has been out for 4 years.

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE SONG, PLEASE?IT REMINDS ME VOEVODA, I ASSOCIATE IT WITH VOEVODA.

  • Voevoda comeback..wwwarmpowernet/indexphp?page=newsmoreen&id=1789

  • @q8shiaassassin : Ron Bath was the original choice for the Vendetta against Voevoda but got injured & backed out, So Pickup approached Todd as a replacement, at first Todd didn't want anything to do with the match he said 'Noway' Neil convinced him that Voevoda has come out of retirement & will come in at a much lighter weight than 2004 that convinced Todd to have shot, when he reached Bulgaria both him & Neil were left shocked to see 275lbs -ish Voevoda ready & waiting.

  • @SDSen Voevoda is apparently undergoing surgery on his right arm and will make a comeback to armwrestling!

  • @q8shiaassassin yea I was told also they were suppose to have a vendetta but alexey quit...damn I would pay to see that o well...

  • Alexey,we are waiting for you to come back. You are the king of this sport.

  • @WolF4you the king just if he beats Devon Larrat !!! waiting for that match

  • @saltarazan Alexey doesnt armwrestle like in the past, but he keeps training. If he train's like in the odds i bet he can beat Larratt easy.

  • Alexey Voevoda is so manly, he strolls down Muscle Beach and all the bodybuilders grew pussies.

  • Super fight ! Super video ! Super Strength ! Voevoda is stronger than all, except Cyplenkov I think ...

  • @TrollWarlordZZZ ...Voevoda was strongerpowerful

  • In my opinion,Voevoda's right hand (at his best) was stronger even than Cyplenkov's left hand!

  • @TrollWarlordZZZ HE CAN BEAT CYPLENKOV , CYPLENKOV STRUGGLES AGAINST LUPKES ,LOST MANY TIMES WITH BRZNECK ,HE WILL LOSE TO LARRAT, BUT VOEVODA OWNS THEM ALL.

  • did john brzenk and alexey ever done a vendetta...i saw a picture on google but it looks like they were just posing and smiling more then competiting

  • Alexey Voevoda is the best, but i wonder how much is kettlebell bottoms up

    max?

  • Kind of a no contest. lol! Even when "the Munster" did give a pull his elbow was jumping off the pad. I would love to see Alexey get back into the sport. He made it interesting.

  • Russian hardcore training is always better than American scientific training.

  • @ArtoriusGothicus I would say russian armwrestling training at high level are even more scientific at high level. Just watch Voevodas, Babaevs and Igors instructional videos.

  • Alexey Voevoda vs Ionut Oncescu a dream match for Romania :)

  • Comment removed

  • @CLAUD21212 It would be a pathetic one sided match! & an insult to Voevoda to pit him against Ion

  • the match will bring lots of audience and money :)

  • @CLAUD21212 A match between Voevoda&Brzenk would rake in money A match between Voevoda & Devon would rake in money

  • Comment removed

  • @CLAUD21212 cum adica? de ce un meci de vis?

  • Voevoda excellent athlete! Terrific puller wish the ref didnt stop them in round 2 because Todd wasn't pinned at that point

  • And now Michael Todd just beat Denis Cyplenkov at Arnolds... Todd was cocky as hell after the match, going: "If you can't pin me at start - then you can't win against me!"... I think this video pretty much shows that isn't the case. I really wish Voevoda could come back to armwrestling soon and show people whos the best.

  • Great music, it goes really well with this video. Best parts were matches 5 and 6, especially 6. Fair play to Todd for giving it a real good go in these final 2 pulls, after the first 4, most opponents would be gone mentally. I think the look on Michael's face at 1.00 in the final pull sums up how he was feeling though, as he realised Voevoda was turning the tables and another victory was inevitable. Not fair really, someone should have told him he was up against a near invincible opponent.

  • @delboy723 Agreed but credit to Todd for accepting the match in the first place despite his initial apprehension

  • @delboy723 Well said!!

  • omg what de fuck is this....voevoda the great champion mondial and nice match

  • is my hero

  • looks as if this song was specially written for this fight)) the song is called Freinheit by Unheilig

  • whats the song?lol

  • great vid, interesting these two...same size yet voevoda in a class by him self

  • Todd's expression at .54 ...always cracks me up!

  • song name plz

  • Todd is struggling like a fish caught on rod ...in voevoda's hand

  • Awesome song, and suits Alexey vid perfectly :)

  • last one should have broken his arm

  • Man i can't believe how much power you he has love that last pull how he leans back now that is true brutt strenght

  • alexey owned every one brzenk,travis,taras,matt grinder,todd,

brzenk never beat do that shit maybe beat travis and todd but not matt grinder or veovoda so

alexey veovoda is the greatest and the best of all time ^_^

  • @q8shiaprince I agree,Voevoda is God : )

  • @MrFedor4life yes veovoda is the greatest of all time and the best

i mean he fucked brzenk like a bitch but respect 4 brzenk

but alexey veovoda is the king no one can touch him RIGHT HAND

  • @q8shiaprince Come back Alexey...and face John at 230lbs, not the 209lbs at the Zloty tournament in 2004. Devon would also be extremely tough for Alexey.

  • @kasparov9

then why john 220lbs lose to alan karaev ? yeah i forgot EVERYBODY LOSE NO EXCUSES plus when he lose to alexey maybe he is not in his greatest shape but lose very VERY very damn easy to him so dont get excuses for him deal with it alexey kicked his ass

  • @q8shiaprince And who is Alan Karaev? World champion? If he beat Brzenk would he not be the worlds best?

There is a big difference in strength in weight classes, 280lbs Voevoda vs 209lbs Brzenk seem fair to you?

Ok, get Alexey down to 209lbs against John and see who wins, my bet is John would destroy him at the same weight. As Larratt put it " a 240lbs Devon would smoke a 220lbs Devon just like that".

  • @kasparov9

yes alan karaev world champion he beat brzenk in golden bear in 1998 final check it out and dont take about what's right and what's wrong its all about arm power yes the weight play important part but not every thing i know guys heavier than me 42lbs but i still beat them and i 190lbs so you say the weight make you lose ? dont think so

  • @q8shiaprince It plays an important part, that's why they have difference weight classes. I can also beat heavier guys than me, but thats because they have weak arms. If you have two guys of equal strength, and both weigh 200lbs, of one of them gains 20lbs, who will win the armwrestle then?

  • @kasparov9

dude i know the weight play an important part and yes ofcaurse they have different weight classes but in the final brzenk vs veovoda they BOTH have a great arm power yes veovoda heavier than john but when he beat him the weight didnt play a part in that match

and the answer to your question is maybe the other guy have more endurance and tech from the other dude i mean in the end some of them will lose

  • @q8shiaprince Brzenk was in the class under Alexey in Zloty 2004, weight does make a big difference, put it this way, if Alexey was brought down to John's weight of 209lbs, how do you think he would go against John?

  • @kasparov9

yes i think he would go against john if he was the same weight as john but my friend the weight is no excuse look at gary goodridge he go against john and at the time they both was in the same class weight still gary goodridge win and john was healthy 100% like a horse so if gary beat him and no weight difference between them and no injuries and no shit what excuse do you have?

  • @q8shiaprince ...Weight has a huge bearing Voevoda was my favourite but favourtism shouldnt let you cloud your judgement

  • @SDSen

i know weight play very important part but tell me what you think of gary goodridge ?

  • @q8shiaprince ...He was a fine armwrestler!

  • @kasparov9 ahahaah u said right "IF U HAVE 2 GUYS OF EQUAL STRENGHT..." SORRY BUT NO ONE IN THE WORLD HAVE THE RIGHT ARM STRENGHT OF ALEXEY...HE CAN CURL 115 KG,HE HAS THE STRONGEST RIGHT ARM EVER MADE...in 2004 he was simly too strong 4 everyone...

armwrestling it's not only strenght obv...but if your opponent his uber strong u can't do NOTHING that's the main point (and however alexey has also a very good tecnique and his very clever)

  • @MrFedor4life Ok good points, the Voevoda from 2004 is the strongest ever? That's great maybe he was. If comes back now and beats Devon in a supermatch, i'll send $100 to your account OK?

  • @kasparov9 no problem...easy money 4 me,the problem is that last week voevoda wins for the first time in russia history a world cup of bobsleigh...i think he earn too much money from russian federation to come back to armwrestling. Devon is saying thx to god 4 this

  • @MrFedor4life yes I know he won the bobsled. If he came back now he would have a hard time against Larratt.

  • @MrFedor4life Here is a link to an interesting talk by John Brzenk.youtube.com/user/HandelandJ#p/u/31/mLf0ON8sjPU

John talks about Larratt vs Voevoda after 400, and also Brznek vs Voevoda at around 800.:)

  • its perfectly legal to use the body weight or momentum as long as you don't do false start, lift your elbow, touch your hand your own chest and keep at least one foot on the ground...with the right exercises Voevoda has used his genetic potential to the max..Respect

  • What kind of BS arm wrestling is this. You don't use your body weight! You sit across a table and use your arm strength. You don't lean your bodyweight into it thats not arm wrestling thats body arm wrestling!!!

  • @Ukie50 umm..... its deffinetly legal.... becasue the other person can do it to..... just saying

  • @Ukie50 if you don't like it...dont watch it. and its a far better test of arm strength than whatever you have in mind.

  • @Ukie50 wronnnnnnnnnnnnnnng!!!!!!!!!

  • Round 6 was epic! Pulling Todd back up from his advantage position he let him hit with all he had

  • Perfect song for the occassion, it's inspiring! :)

  • Alexey Voevoda is unbelievably the greatest ever! King of arm-wrestling, and at his best he is untouchable. I wish his return, it would be legendary.

  • @JinxOz what happened with Voevoda?

  • @JinxOz Where did he go did he get laid and have kids or something?

  • @JinxOz He should be returning next year after he has cosmetic surgery on he right elbow that will allow him to compete again:)

  • Alexey's power is amazing. Once his arm moves towards him, it doesn't stop until it hits the pad, incredible! There is nothing that can stop that power! Except maybe a Devon Larratt Hook!!

  • @kasparov9 , Normally Todd's defensive holding position gives everyone hell, but Voevoda just penetrated right through him Brzenk handled him the same way at armwars few years back he was literally playing with Todd, somehow I feel this 2007 version of Voevoda is far more impressive than the 2004 one.

  • @SDSen According to Engin Terzi, Voevoda only trained for something like 3-4 months for this event. That's without any real competition in 2 or so years. The guy is a beast. If he comes back and trains hard, he will give Larratt hell. :) See how many video's you can find of Alexey in a losing position, his only loss I can think of is to Bagent in 2003, and before that according to him he hadn't lost since 2000! Simply amazing.:) His wins are so effortless and pure power.

  • @kasparov9 Voevoda is a beast no doubt he could thrash a lot of people if he puts his mind in with intense training, but he's human at the same time if his Zloty victory in 2004 was an indication his potential then his struggle against his match with Pushkar in 2004 was also a reality. I don't think he'd defeat Devon not a chance in a supermatch format. Devon has reached such a commanding position now. I'd like Voevoda to battle it out with Pushkar Jerry etc

  • @SDSen I don't think the match with Pushkar was much of a struggle, I think it only appeared that way ad Voevoda has always destroyed his opponents, so when the match last longer than 3 seconds it appears to be a struggle. I don't think he would defeat Devon either, but surely if he came back and competed and trained he would have some chance. I mean, 1 loss in 7 years must say something. I think both Voevoda and Devon have never faced someone as strong as they are, so it would be interesting.

  • @kasparov9 , Well it was the first time I had actually seen Voevoda shaken with a young Pushkar who was relatively weak & light & he Pushkar actually managed to hold on even as his hand was being dragged down. It wasn't a convincing win IMO for someone who was at their 'peak' during the 2004 period. I'd like to see Voevoda come back & have a rematch with Pushkar now. You're right one loss in 7 years is a great achievement. Voevoda vs Devon tourney match would generate so much excitement
