The original version simply can not be bettered EVER... sorry... for starters, the guitar solo is the most integral part of the song, not really surprising as it was written by a guitarist ;-) No negativity intended to Aselin, her voice is pleasant enough, but some songs are perfection incarnate and any attempt to better them is futile.

When she was younger like this she did some amazing work with folk music and various other classics. Her version of "the gift" is particularly great. But then she caved into marketing pressure and began pumping out the pop bullshit that she's making now. Another musician bites the dust. :(

but now, aselin seems to have lost her touch.
