I remember seeing this on Nickelodeon in the 90s...if I recall, the cold opening (which always seems to be missing from scooterpiety's libraries, lol, jk) went something like this:

GK: I'm Gladys Knight.

Pops: I'm glad it's night too!

GK: You are?

Pops: Yeah, it's too hot during the day!

GK: (looks to camera) I'll only allow one.

We then see a whatnot on a ladder and the joke is repeated, so Gladys shakes the ladder causing him to fall. She then says, "I said I'd only allow one!" :)
