heres a cool tip i learned: when you shoot a rocket, it goes slightly to the right. this has gelped me so much since now i can take down sentries close range without gettting damaged

He wrote this in a letter corresponding to Jim Blish and William Miller Jr.: "If anyone were to try to write the Necronomicon, it would disappoint all those who have shuddered at cryptic references to it."

So that pretty much sums it up. Lovecraft is a master of psychological horror, and that involves fear of the unknown. You can't be afraid of something you know.

the direct hit only takes 2 rockets to kill a lvl3 sentry. You can take it down even if the engineer is right there, so long as he isn't already actively hitting it with his wrench

but you need to be more accurate and killing both the engie and the sentry at the same time is harder because it has -70% splash radius, But its still worth it

Also, be very very careful when rocket-jumping that you do not enter the sentry's field of fire in midair. If you do, it'll lock onto you and juggle you in the air with its bullets until you die. With a Level 1 sentry you might escape, but Level 2 or 3 will kill you in seconds this way.

All of the clips has you shooting the sentry from long range, above, or while being healed. What do you do when it's just you and the sentry around the corner? Is it possible to kill the sentry before it kills you?

@nainqx To add on to what he said, fire at the ground around the corner. If the idiot put the sentry close to the corner you'll be hurting it. If not, get a demo to help you out. His grenade launcher does wonders for that.

That is because he knew that since the Engineer was dead and the Sentry was visually on fire, it only needed one more shot to kill it. This sort of thing comes from experience.

Once you know the engineer is dead, You can fire off individual rockets to drop the sentry faster. You only saturate your fire so you can keep heavy pressure on the Engineer that is repairing his sentry. Once the Engineer is dead however, He can no longer repair his sentry and you want to drop it ASAP before another Engineer jumps on it.

As a soldier you can:

1. Kill the engineer, followed by his gear, most times successful, unless interrupted by a enemy

2. Attack the sentry first, waste rockets and stand with a open mouth, staring at how his taking is puperior to your rockets, only to get killed a moment later, ragequitting and posting on forums how engi is OP.
