Because of the wind and forces from the propeller/wind/etc.

you...cant? when you fly directly up, your fighting the earths gravity....RAPIDLY losing speed..your gona lose lol. Once you get to about 160/140 mph, your at stalling speed, and if its always shaking, its probably because your man handlin the stick to much.

Download Hyperlobby. Then just register and choose forgotten battles as your game. A lot of servers will pop up and it's just to join one

The IL2 is a simulator, is very easy to use real tactics when you fly online. This video show close dogfight (we play for fun here), but on Airforce War for example we are use real tactics like the BnZ. The energy is the key, the German planes without energy is sitting ducks for the Yak's and LA5.

For the BnZ you must know your plane and specially the defender's planes.

I get my jollies from low speed turning fights, and I can't grasp b&z fighting to save my life, so when I come up against an opponent who's the other way around i don't know how to deal with them. Usually I try to sucker them into turning with me, but what do I do when I can't pull that off? Just line up headon passes and hope I get lucky? I hate running away almost as much as I hate getting shot down...

When you're under B&Z attacks, keep fast, as faster as you can. When he's coming to you in your 6, make a 145° turn, then he'll had to do an hard deflexion shot to get you. + if you make something like a barrel roll just before he shoot, there are not a lot of chances to get hit. Many times, running away (even for a short time) we'll help you to defeat a B&Zoomer.

When he's getting bored cause he cant hit you ;) anyway if he have advantage, he'll still can put his guns on you. Be patient, keep your speed.

I know they would attack Me-262's when they pulled up out of a diving attack... How's this sound, wait for him to attack, keep him on my 3/9 to spoil his aim, then when he blows by reverse into him and try to take him as he pulls back up?

To help, just remember those rules:

Keep your speed against B&Zoomer (if you're slow, you'll cant move to avoid attacks).

Guess in which position you're the hardiest target.

Never try to climb behind a B&Zoomer, exept when you have enought speed to do this.

Stay patient and aware.

now I fly every 109 like this:

ALWAYS keeping my speed in fight(B&Z,vertical fight or hit&run).When an adversary catch my six,if I have much energy I climb and dive on him when he's out of speed,if I dont have E to do it,I run.If the guy follow me,I drag him far from other enemies and friendies, and I kill him in a very short 1vs1 fight (sometimes I make mistakes and I get shot xD but it's very rare).

PS:I'll make a vid like this in few weeks, with some kills in 109, and other planes too.

Good B&Z skill, it's an hard thing in 109, i see you know the tricks to get a better maniability + you aim well :p

I like what you do at 2:19 - 2:25 But now, I dont turn like this anymore in a 109 (even with G2) for 2 reasons: even if you're a very very good dogfighter you still can be shot down, and IRL pilots couldnt handle such high G, it made them very tired.
