  • Happy birthday, Clem. You're as missed & loved today as ever. Sigh. We'd be planning our celebration with gifts, lists & goodies. - Perhaps partying with Fred, Gene, Ginger & their crowd is on your 'to do' list. - rest in peace, my dear friend, Matt.

  • Clem was my uncle and we unfortunately lost touch after many years throughout my childhood. As a child I remember him dancing throughout the mall hallways always enticing me to follow in suit...It is amazing to hear so many people speak so highly of him. Thank you all...I wish I could have known him better now that I am an adult. - Reese

  • Clem was the most amazing performer I've ever seen. I would watch him every night in A.C. and think "I don't wanna go on after that!!" Love you and miss U.

  • For those of you who don't know, there will be a service for Clem on Saturday February 9th at the Flamingo Library (I believe that's a theater) in Las Vegas. Don't know what time but I will get that as soon as possible. I was blessed enough to work very closely with Clem in LA many years ago. He touched so many of us with his kindness and extraordinary talent. He is loved and missed by many. Please spread the word about the service to any friends of his you may know. Thanks everyone.

  • could someone please tell me how Clem died,I lost touch with him when he left Paris,is the video in Vegas and if so where and when was it performed, also who put the video on to youtube and did clem know about it

  • Clem died from cardiomythophy. The video is many different shows that he performed all over the u.s. and world. The video was put on youtube by his loving partner, Scott

  • Is this the same Clem that I was friends with inParis in 1984/5 we were in a show called Cocorico at the Lido ,

  • Yes it is.

  • thanku for replying to my message kennymazlow,i only found this website by accident as i was tring to explain to my children about fred astaire and the cane trick in Putting on the Ritz, and to my amazement up pops Clem doing his stuff,we spent alot of time talking about Barba Fred and Cyd Charisse, he would make me do her poses out of some lovely books he had, many happy days spent in Paris with Clem so much more to say, kenny how do you know clem your name sounds familiar

  • I would come to know over the years just how Clem's bright personality matched his favorite color, yellow. Clem was the life of the party, but he made me feel that I was. I was in awe of his talent, but his true gift was his ability to make others feel special. He inspired me with his confidence and his big heart. I will cherish my memories forever.

  • You are my lucky star,Peter pan is what you are,Eventhough Astaire was your teacher,You were always a four star feature.Forever you are seen,up on this movie screen. You opened heavens portal,Here on earth for this poor mortal,Now in heaven, the angels sing,DANCE SWEET CLEM, FOR YOUR SHOES HAVE WINGS! FLY HUBBLE FLY!

  • the way you wear your hat, the way you sip your tea, the memorie of all that. no no they can't take that away from me. we may never never meet again on the bumpy road to love still i,ll always always keep the memory of the way your smile just gleams, the way you haunt my dreams, no they can,t take that away from me. You were the soundtrack to my life, a teacher, a friend, pixie dust. What my dear Mr. Zeleski, becomes a legend most? You do. I will miss you. mark garry

  • Dear Clem, my heart aches to think of you gone. I can barely comprehend it. Who will I ever be so silly with? I wish you would have come over my house after rehearsal last Monday. I will never have another friend I grew up with. You never wanted to get old, now you will remain forever young. I know you've danced with Fred, Gene, Judy, Eleanor, Ann, Rudolph & Orrie. Enjoy Heaven, my dear friend. Love, Matt. P.S. - Is Miss Sylvain there?

  • Matt I cannot even comprehend this. the enormity of it washes over me. I send to you all of my aloha.mark garry 702-374-3500

  • My Clem

You were the light in my life. You were magical in every way. I am forever grateful for Monday night when we rehearsed. The love we felt for each other as best friends will be with me forever. I did not know that when I said good night and hugged and kissed you good bye, that in a few hours you would be gone. If I had known, I would never have let go. I can not imagine my life without you. The loss is almost too much to endure.

    I love you

    Shirley

  • Beautiful. Elegant. Classy. Clem.

  • Very nice, I am sure Mr. Astaire would be honored by your dancing and your tribute to him. It is so wonderful to see people like you who keep these marvelous personalities alive so their style, grace and talent will live on. More please, William

  • excellent. beautiful style. You definately have the grace of Fred. Floating like air.

  • This guy is AMAZING!

  • Wonderfully polished! I wonder how many rehearsals....

  • Added to his natural talent, he most probably needed hundreds and hundreds of hours of practicing combined with performances on stages to achieve such a quality of movements. He is very good. Thanks to you yellow 4521 for inform me of this Clip!

  • A treat. Fred would probably have been very flattered.

  • incredible amount of work... well done.. brilliant
