Filipino people got the best cure for this. it's called "tawas" or this white crystal used as anti-perspirant (though deodorantss nowadays are liquid form and roll-on) this crystal is odorless. Of course you should buy a new one, do not use the crystal which you already used in ur armpit. it dries the canker, even if if saliva comes in contact, it is coated perfectly in the chemical level. just a few minutes and it's ok. i assure. i heard there's a powderized form of TAWAS
also, putting a drop of toothpaste helps with the pain. I tried it, and it does hurt alot, but it numbs it for a little while. I don't think if speeds up the healing process. I think the only cure it to wait it out :[
I got two one with like white in the middle and one that is hard like if it broke and became hard like plastic and their on the side on my cheek but in the inside.

I use listerine cause it kills the bacteria but in my own personal experience I don't believe it ever sped up the healing process. It does help with the pain emmedietly after but only because you are in so much pain while you're rinsing that when you spit it out you realize the canker has gone numb, but that numbness only lasts about an hour, and that's only if you left the listerine on the canker sore for at least a minute. But I still recommend it at least to kill the bacteria.
Listerine = epic pain and no gain. Sorry, maybe the hydrogen peroxide but the Listerine isn't going to do a thing for it. Well, it might set the healing process back a day or two--there is that.

This cause probably is stress from upcoming musical competition.

Get Canker Cover. It sucks to put on but in a little bit it totally covers the sore and it usually heals in about a day

Stay away from strawberries, chocolate, citrus, cinnamon, tomatoes, and honey and switch to Rembrandt toothpaste. free of SLS which causes canker sores. Worked for me, because i would have about 2-3 a day. Lasted for about 6 years like that. Now I have about one a week and I love it.

I grew up with my grandma and being filipino she did not believe putting salt in my canker soar becuz she said its useless, so she used got allum crystals and craked it into little pieces like salt and put it straight in my canker soar. It was more painful than salt but it was gone in one day (:

i have 1 really big one wich might have been a result from stree or that time of the month..... i just got back from kaiser permanenteand my doctor perscribed (triamcinolone acetonide) and (anbesol)i put the ambesol to numb it then the acetonide wich forms a shield i diont know if it will heel it sice it still there but ill let yall know like in 3 days or so... id does help numb it and helps cushion it so it wont jam with anything.... works nice so far

I remember the period when I got at least 1 canker sore every week and it made me go mental so I took a sharp and pointy needle and stuck it into the sore.
I felt that "PoP"- feeling of something penetrating the skin and the next thing u know, a small pretty waterfall of blood came out :)
Sure it hurt worse than anything else and it's probably the worst thing to do - but I didn't give a crap cause I was in a mental instabiliy.

Filipino people got the best cure for this. it's called "tawas" or this white crystal used as anti-perspirant (though deodorantss nowadays are liquid form and roll-on) this crystal is odorless. Of course you should buy a new one, do not use the crystal which you already used in ur armpit. it dries the canker, even if if saliva comes in contact, it is coated perfectly in the chemical level. just a few minutes and it's ok. i assure. i heard there's a powderized form of TAWAS

also, putting a drop of toothpaste helps with the pain. I tried it, and it does hurt alot, but it numbs it for a little while. I don't think if speeds up the healing process. I think the only cure it to wait it out :[

The 1st couple of days after I got elbowed I had a big left upper lip. People in school were laughing and when I talked my left part of my upper lip didnt move and it looked weird/funny. One person even took a picture of it.

i have braces and the other day i had a soccer game and during the game i got elbowed. I was bleeding a lot and now half of my upper lip has a long/big cankersore. I also have a few on my lower lip, so everytime i drink i have to drink on the side of my mouth and it kills really badly, and when i eat i have to eat on one side and that hurts just as bad maybe worse. And even when I open my mouth it hurts, so all ur cankersores are nothing compared to mine. Not fun... Not fun...

I use listerine cause it kills the bacteria but in my own personal experience I don't believe it ever sped up the healing process. It does help with the pain emmedietly after but only because you are in so much pain while you're rinsing that when you spit it out you realize the canker has gone numb, but that numbness only lasts about an hour, and that's only if you left the listerine on the canker sore for at least a minute. But I still recommend it at least to kill the bacteria.

Listerine = epic pain and no gain. Sorry, maybe the hydrogen peroxide but the Listerine isn't going to do a thing for it. Well, it might set the healing process back a day or two--there is that.

Ugh I have one on my lower gum, right underneath one of my front teeth, I didn't even know you could get one there....it hurts constantly since it rubs against the inside of my lip. HOW IN THE WORLD ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO RELAX WHEN YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE??

mine always appear after i bite my tongue. and always on my lips. i have two right now on my lips. and one on the bottom of my tongue.the one on the tongue sends pain throughout my nerves. it sucks bad. it feels like a bubble about to pop. so i bought some numbing liquids from the store. kanka is what its called. burns for a few moments then totally numbs the sore. kinda messy but it works so you can eat and drink. keep your mouth clean.

I have two right now, and my lip is so frigging swollen. It hurts like a bitch, and I jate rinsing with salt, but its pretty much all I can do at this point, nothing hurts more when you have one right above the teeth, so when you talk or move your mouth your teeth poke. They are so UNNECESSARY!

I never minded canker sours, i knew it would go away. but this one is soooo freken big, it takes up litterly 1/4 of my bottom lip.
I am about to just cut it open or salt it if its still huge 2marrow.
(its gone down kinda.)
