  • i like how he looks around the gym in between reps

  • at least he is out there... ...and he is not hurting himself while doing this...

  • @TheYouwontgetit How do you KNOW he isn't hurting himself? I'd argue that in doing such crappy form, he's more likely to get hurt.

  • @dragns ...that is simply not true... ...although this exercise should not be done in general since it stresses rc, his form - not going all the way down and all the way up and above all pulling it more less with the swinging motion of his whole upper body - should prevent this... ...so yes - i know he is not hurting himself, i said it...!!!

  • @TheYouwontgetit .... stresses rc? what do you refer to? interesting that you think such an innocuous exercise should be avoided completely.

But, again... you don't know this guy wasn't hurting himself, because you only see this small clip of what he's doing. What about his lumbar spine? I would argue that he COULD be stressing that beyond what he should be because he's loaded the bar beyond his strength level and is depending on his back and momentum to get the weight to move.

  • @dragns ...yes it should - it's no secret, just check out any website that deals with rc injuries, there are about 10 other exercises that should be avoided too... ...but the way he is doing it is actually safer regarding a possible rc injury - it more like rowing... ...of course i don't know if he is not hurting himself outside of this clip - duh......maybe he sticks nails through his head at home - but this comment is just about the video...

  • @TheYouwontgetit Some people have a problem with behind the head pulls, and I would never program that for a client. A straight lat pulldown to the top of the chest is perfectly fine and can actually be a great way to strengthen a shoulder if done right. And that's the point I make here. DO IT CORRECTLY. Yanking on a weight that's so heavy that you can only pull it a short distance and the momentum of it yanks your shoulder on the way back up is more likely to cause a problem than anything.

  • This reminds me of an old guy at my gym who dose bicep curls like a clean. when I do a set of 15 at 45lbs he'll come up and do about 3 "bi-cleans" at the same weight and puff his chest out. I just smile and nod.

  • That's a gym? It looks like a CostCo or Sam's with all of that crap in the background.

  • you get pretty defensive when people make fun of a guy that you criticized. why bother putting the video up? and you sound professional for a guy that works at a dollar store

  • @machinehead912 It's not being defensive. It's shaking my head in wonder at the dumb fucks that make the same comments over and over. Like you. Dumb fuck.

  • @dragns It's because for once, I have nothing better to do. And by the look of it, you never have anything better to do. ya douche

  • @machinehead912 Nice...the ""I never get on the internet because I'm too busy living a real life, but you obviously have nothing better to do loser"" argument. Shut the fuck up, retard.

  • @dragns I said I have nothing better to do lol you can't use my own words against me when that's exactly what i said...and that's a long title. the language is uncalled for. Those words lost their meaning

  • @devildriver340 I didn't know they had idiots commenting on youtube.

    oh wait.... nevermind.

  • @dragns so...what convenience store do you work out at? hahahaha

  • @devildriver340 so.... what kind of school for retards to you attend? hahahahaha

  • Funny!

  • I see people do this a lot...

  • this is actually not bad..do you know that pull downs are working your upper back. I lay back pretty far to get good pull downs and i could crush you with my back lol. So you should know more mr. trainer

  • @elizabethkmay9 You're a perfect example of someone who knows just enough to show how stupid you really are. Pulldowns do not work the upper back, they work the lats. If you want to work the upper/mid back, do rows.

  • @dragns i can confirm what you just said, been training just over a year and a half now, pulldowns are for lats, if you do it properly then your lats will ache like hell in the morning, elizabethkmay9 (a girl?!) is a fool..

  • sfgfg

  • wtf did you expect from a guy working out in the middle of a grocery store

  • @Newbpwng A better attempt at a joke, maybe?

  • @Newbpwng i serously just laughed at that comment for like 10 minutes straight hahaha

  • Wtf is wrong with that Guy

  • u just jelly brah he lifting more and hes like 80

  • thats a funny way to do dead lifts....

    on a serious note

hes old as hell give him a break

  • @shells1990r Then he should know better. ;)

  • Lmao, he's doing a horizontal row.

  • Ive spent more time checking the comments instead of the video. GJ

  • @lawson7857 Fuck you man... you're done. I'm not arguing with a fucking idiot all night long.

  • if hes doing it wrong go show him how to do it correctly. it might embarrass him a little but it better than making fun of him for doing it wrong. not everyone knows how to lift weights correctly and everyone has bad form with exercises at one point or another. stop being a douche and help the guy out.

  • @lawson7857 How about you not be a douche and comment when you haven't even read the fucking description or any of the other comments. If you had, you'd see where I said this old guy was a dickhead who wouldn't take any kind of instruction from anyone. He thought he knew it all. He earned being made fun of over and over. Next time, read before you comment. Fucktard.

  • @dragns how about mind your business and worry about yourself instead of asking for attention at someone elses expense. bitch

  • @sssnnnyyy How about you choke on my cock. Fucktard.

  • @sssnnnyyy how about you stand up for the old man and do something about it fuckbag?

  • @dragns umadbro?

  • @dragns lmao! "fucktard" nice.

  • you should post more videos of this idiot he's fucking funny

  • HAHAHAHA its soooo good as he pops out lol

  • good thing he wears a belt LOL

  • There's nothing wrong with doing this kind of pull. People do incline pressing which is halfway between a vertical (overhead) and flat (bench) press, so why is it wrong to do a pull that is halfway between a vertical (behind neck) and horizantal (bent over row) angle? People complaining about use of the erector spinae, yet we use those muscles to support the spine during bent over rows, so who cares?

He's basically, through hip extension, moving from a 45 to a horizantal pull in this move.

  • @tyciol When people do an incline press, though, they don't sling their bodies upward to make it happen. I can't believe people actually defend his form with weak ass arguments like this. Bottom line... the weight was too heavy for him, because without slinging himself backward, he never would have been able to move the stack. Even with all that momentum going, he only executed about a 6" pull. And never pull behind the neck. Rough on the shoulders, and takes your cervical spine out of neutral.

  • @dragns You're right, although people do things like push presses to hand more weight in an overhead press. What's weak-ass about the argument? I agree the weight's too heavy to lift strictly, and he'd likely see more benefit by dropping and lifting strictly, but people do other movements besides strict pushes or pulls too. They also do partials.

Pulling behind the neck is fine for some people, but it's not necessary to do and should be avoided for beginners prone to injuring themselves.

  • The vid should be titled:

    Senior Citizen VS Proper Form

  • HAHAHAH HORRIBLE

  • at our gym, if you train like an ass the owner throws you out...

  • hahahah wtf is this guy doing?? he must be a retard

  • Hahahaha

  • Thats not horrible for a grandpa. That's how the grandpas do it. You think they can keep their backs all firm? It's fucking withered away. Cmon now.

  • I'M DOING THIS TOMORROW !

    xD

  • is that... is that a gym or a walmart?

  • @Footballist2011 It was originally a presale site where they were selling memberships for a gym that was being built in the same complex.. The company brought in some workout equipment and expanded into the next storefront so that members could start working out while waiting for the main facility to be completed. This video was taken about a month before Thanksgiving, and the food in the background was a collection for a food drive the company did every year for a local food bank.

  • its like a row/lat pulldown hybrid or sum shit? haha at least his old ass is tryin haha

  • TOO FUNNY !!!!!!!!

  • His lats are too weak to actually pull the weight so as soon as the biceps maxes out he cant do it.

  • @Triple88a It was really just a matter of ego and overloading weight on everything he did. You should have seen his bicep curls. He'd try to lift so much that he wouldn't even get his arm to a 90 degree angle. He'd contort his body and sling it as high as he could and it wouldn't even reach parallel to the floor. Then he'd go over to the mirror between sets and flex and poke at his muscles. LOL

  • @dragns Theres a kid like that in our gym. Long hair..hasnt gained a pound since he started going to the gym... we call him Justin Bieber.

  • *shrug* He's turning it into a horizontal row. I've seen worse.

  • @fdfdfdfdsss Yeah... so have I. But I really hope you don't think he's turning it into a horizontal row on purpose (complete with that awesome 4" ROM).

  • Damn...now I have to find eyesack9's comment...

  • HES AN ANIMAL!

  • lol did he see the camera?

  • @iTzvenge I think he looked at me, but I don't think he realized what I was doing. My camera has a swing out viewfinder that swivels, so I was looking down at the screen and not at him.

  • that is fucking terrible lol

  • d only thing for this old man to learn the proper way of lateral pullups is if he gets hurt while doing that. he needs to learn the hard way.

  • lol is he wearing a lifting belt?

  • @rheecemurphy Yeah.. he wore it kinda like a fashion accessory. It was never actually tightened up.

  • dat form , hnggggggg

  • you all mirin, you knw it.

  • thats how u hit the lower back on a pulldown lol

  • At least he's working out and not filming other people workout

  • @eyesack9 ..says the fag that's never been in a gym before.

  • @dragns Yup totally, Never worked out in my life. I just like to take protein shakes after I sit in the gym for 2 hours everyday.

  • @eyesack9 2 hours every day? Nothing screams dumbass louder than that statement.

  • @dragns

You know bodybuilders, Olympic athletes, power lifters, professional and amateur athletes and that guy you know who squats 500 all train 2 hours a day, if not 3 -- and sometimes twice a day.

Not everyone has the same goal as you, faggot.

  • @RedWildz Bullshit. Professional athletes don't lift for 2-3 hours a day. Neither do powerlifters, olympic athletes, or that guy who squats 500. Bodybuilders might because they're kinda like you. Not very bright. Faggot.

  • @dragns

All right, dumbass. Know what the Bulgarian method is? It's the lifting regimen currently followed by the Olympic weightlifting teams of China, the US, most of Eastern Europe and many more. Russia has their own method that is a daily program as well, which takes well over 3, even 4 hours to complete. The Smolov squat routine, which is hailed as the most effective squat system out there, will take most individuals nearly 2 hours to finish squats alone. You just don't train hard, faggot.

  • @RedWildz All right, dumbass. Yes I know what it is, but I also know that it is NOT used by the US Olympic team as it was originally written. It might be followed by some people trying to make the team, but making a universal statement like you did is asinine. It's also a pretty fucking stupid way to train unless you've been training for a long time and if you want any longevity in the sport or lifting in general. And you must not understand Smolov if it takes you two hours to squat. Fag.

  • @dragns

Great that you were able to regurgitate a few lines directly from whichever website you visited. Yes, many do not follow it as it is written originally. That doesn't change the fact that most still train at least once daily, devoting at the bare minimum just over 2 hours a session. If you deny this, you know nothing of training. You see the Average Broz lifters? All of them hit the weights every single day, some twice a day. They hold the most potential in the US at the moment.

  • @RedWildz Fuck you and Average Broz. You know jack fucking shit.

  • @dragns

And you're right, fuck Average Broz, a tiny gym that has produced nearly a dozen lifters moving 2.5 - 3x their bodyweight simply because they train in a way you deemed "stupid." If your aim is to continue getting stronger, friend, you'll find disappointing results with however the hell you're going at it right now. Your attitude toward different programs is proof enough of that.

  • @RedWildz Less than a dozen? 2.5x? That's it? I was able to do that within just a couple of years of steady lifting, at a weight of 200. So I guess my "substandard gains" matched your Average Broz, and were achieved despite my lack of training multiple hours a day, eh? Train smarter, not harder... dumb fuck.

  • @dragns

Let me emphasize some points that you chose to ignore for some reason.. It is a small gym. A dozen lifters would likely make up more than 80% of the lifter base, with the other 20% being inconsistent or one time visitors. Saying "only?" is irrelevant given the population you're criticizing. As for your supposed 500 pound squat after 2 years of steady training, congrats, you also bested the tens of thousands who train just as "smart" as you who barely squat 315 after that time.

  • @dragns

Furthermore, you clearly have no idea how Smolov works if you believe time has anything to do with it. Proper strength training is about total power output near maximal weights. Not about how much you sweat or how sore you are the next day. Completing the reps and doing the work (literally) is what counts. How long is takes is not important.

God knows you believe ATG squatting is bad for the knees, creatine is a steroid and kroc rows are dumb, right?

  • @RedWildz Then why the fuck did you go on about how much time it took, you fucktard?!?

ATG squats are fine.. but not necessary. If you're breaking parallel, you're fine. The rest of it... you're just being a fucking idiot. Shut the fuck up.

  • @dragns

Fine, enjoy your substandard gains and forever mediocre lifts due to your irrationally misguided views on what is "retarded" in weightlifting and what is correct.

  • @eyesack9

If you're in the gym for 2 hours everyday, you're either overtraining or slacking off.

  • @gott1rott 1 hour cardio 1 hour conditioning. Don't think so.

  • @eyesack9

Thats completely different. The way you said it made it sound like you lift weights for 2 hours everyday.

  • @gott1rott I never indicated that I did weight training for 2 hours.

  • @eyesack9 I see you have never worked out before hehe :D

  • @eyesack9 two hours everyday? LOL, enjoy your no gains, catabolic state and overtraining. Idiot.

  • @kalossimitar Read my other post numbnuts. Then post again. Fat fuck.

  • @eyesack9 I have more important things to do, sadly. Enlighten me. Lol at "fat fuck". Enjoy being a curlbro that doesn't understand any basic concept of weight lifting. You mad?

  • @kalossimitar Your statement makes no sense at-all because you're judging another person on the internet without actually knowing them or how they train. If you had better things to do you wouldn't be trying so hard to troll me.

  • @eyesack9 You are implying that you can do compound lifts everyday for 2 hours without suffering from overtraining and making slower gains than you would if you actually knew how to train OR you are implying the same thing, but, this time, for isolation routines for which two hours a day everyday is overkill as everyone knows any split past a 3-days split is fucking retarded and I should end with a nice ''enjoy isolating your biceps for two hours''. Let's see who makes more gain. Checkmate.

  • @kalossimitar Oh btw, tl;dr

  • @eyesack9 LOL. Checkmate. You just don't know what to say anymore. Congratulations on not having a point to make anymore.

  • @kalossimitar You commented back to me after I told you TWICE to read what I said and you'd find your answers theres, Yet you don't and continue this failed attempt at trolling. I'm laughing so hard right now due to your complete and udder stupidity. Please continue hahahahahaha

  • @eyesack9 And I told you I have better things to do. Writing this doesn't even take 30 seconds. I have yet to value you enough to waste minutes trying to find some ''posts'' you are referring all the while being less than explicit. You like laughing, don't you? THIS IS SO FUNNY XDDDXDXD!11! Enjoy being diagnosticated with dementia.

  • @kalossimitar tl;dr yet again

  • @eyesack9 you mad? Yeah you mad.

  • @kalossimitar furious.

  • @eyesack9 fast & furious, witty & charming, I'm stylin' on you, what can I say?

  • @eyesack9 hahahahah gym 2 hours a day :D

  • @dragns i used to do 3 hours depending on the set of muscles i was working on bicepts, chest and tricepts would a taken me 2 hours gym, 40 mins(20 before and 20 after gym) cardio and 20 on sauna after workouts to loosen the muscle a lil bit i nver overworked my body during those months neither did i had problems whit my body (ofcourse never done more than 50 lbs or more on dumbels etc depending on machine u know what i mean if u do work out) it depends how you work out.

  • @bacalaitoxxx Sounds like a HUGE waste of time.

  • @dragns sure that huge waste of time got me more muscles and less fat% on my body ty very much

  • @bacalaitoxxx I rarely spend more than an hour and a half in the gym, at the longest, including warmup and cardio. And I'm only there 3-4 days a week, depending on what I'm doing. There's a smarter way to train, my friend, and you're not going to learn it from your bodybuilding magazines.

  • @dragns i dont use bodybuilding magazines i check info before i do things from diferent sites and desing my own routing and i aint a body builder i also do my workouts checking how my body reacts not cause some1 tells me im not doing it right every body is diferent and my body goes for the long run instead of u who goes for 1 hour

  • @bacalaitoxxx you obviously don't know enough to design your own routine. Hell, you can't even spell routine. Everybody is not that different. Physiology is pretty standard across the human race, fucktard.

  • @dragns obviously u cant even come up whit a good comeback so u start insulting me and my spelling which is a second lenguage and i cant get good at it if i dont even use it in my homeland.i on 1 hand have almost 0 stamina since i was little while one friend of mine had stamina and he could almost go 2 hours on a bycicle whitout even having a routine or any kind of training no1 equal. btw where i live it inst flat ,theres lots of big hills that u need to go up and down hill mutliple times

  • see people like this everyday . yeah atleast hes in the gym , but if you dont know find out . the worst thing about people like this is theyre usually taking up the equipment i wanna use or in the way .

  • yeah as people say, atleast hes working out

  • He's got a bumbelt! ^^

  • just teach him, he doesn't know

  • @comjuka Seriously...does nobody read the embedded comments in the video or the video description, or even the comments? That was covered. He didn't want help. He thought he knew it all, and was an asshole to anyone that attempted to offer advice.

  • Maybe he wants to do a row?? leave him the fuck alone!

  • @size123 Why do idiots like you come on here and defend his fucked up form? I don't get it.

  • @dragns Why do idiots like you come here judging on people that doesnt need ur judgement?? He obviously doesnt want to take your adviice... So just leave him the fuck alone.

  • @size123 He definitely needed my judgement and my advice. He was just a pedophile douchebag too stupid to take it. So, I left him alone. but documented his retarded lifting habits. Whatsa matter? Afraid someone will take video of your lame efforts in the gym, too?

  • @dragns

loool you owned him! Ya my mate does this too, he does it because he can lift more . T_T so stupid. I just let him do that since he don't listen and it builds his ego. I gust do mine with correct form but with half the weight. Form > Weight

  • nobody tells him how to do it right?

  • @corporacionmonstruo All of us tried to help this guy at one point or another. He rebuffed everyone, saying he knew what he was doing. I addressed that in the video with embedded comments. Perhaps you can't read?

  • @dragns yes,i can read, i didn´t beacause i always press "hide annotations" : ) .Maybe you can´t teach or lack social skill,probably both.

  • @corporacionmonstruo I can't teach or lack social skills because you choose a retarded setting for video playback and then ask questions that were covered already? Fuck you. How's that for social skills?

  • @dragns "How's that for social skills?" Very little assertive

  • clearly all the seated row machines were taken so he had to improvise...smart thinking old man

  • @andyevs10191 hahahaha such wisdom

  • ummm hes still working his lats... doesnt matter really!

  • @sn00zegaming meh....not really. The only thing he's doing effectively is slinging himself backward to move the weight. There's really not much ROM in the pull from the arms.

  • I don't get this. Only fit people go to gyms?

  • @Bonkbonk100 Perhaps I don't understand your comment. It's not about his level of fitness. It's about the horrific form he's using.

  • @dragns I don't go to gym, so I thought you meant form as in his figure, sorry

  • @Bonkbonk100 Ahhh... I see. No, form in this case refers to the technique he uses to execute the exercise.

  • did he died?

  • i like how he thinks hes so strong to do the weights yet he doesnt even stand up under his own power lol "when im done i just let the weights pick me up, i dont want to waste any energy" LMAO

  • @stonecoldtrk ... So what? When you're done you just let go and let the weights slam down? Troll more, please.

  • @stonecoldtrk that's what most people do and it's not a problem.

  • @haggiss bye troll

  • Sexy cycling short, and nice belt!! Pretty sure he use it to hold his cortisol/fat on his hips...... That exercise is called the anal Erectus Back Extension Cycling penis inverted to my ass belt fuck me ugly face on the concentric!!

  • I see this shit all of the time at the gym. The out of shape douche bag trying to look like a hard ass or the super skinny kid with an ego trying to not look like a pussy. That's how it goes, sir.

  • @DonovanCharles This guy was especially funny. When we finally got the real gym built, and had plenty of mirrors around, he'd walk over to the mirrors between each set and stare at himself, flex, and poke his muscles. Between EVERY set, as if something might have happened during those 8-10 quarter-reps he just did.

  • @dragns Hahaha, this is why even on rest days I tend to go to the gym just to see these people in action. That shit happens all of the time at my gym and it's irritating as shit but you can't help but just laugh at these stupid fucks. I don't even bother helping them out anymore because they don't want to listen to a serious lifter. So, I'm going to start recording these douchers and posting them on youtube as well.

  • @bonzihunter Really? Did you not read the comments embedded in the video? Are you telling me you're like all the other fucktards on here that ask the same stupid fucking questions that have been asked and answered even before you asked them? Really?

  • LIGHT WEIGHT BAAAAABY

  • FTW - he's got a weight belt!!!

  • That's my inspiration now!!! JK

  • What's even funnier is that you had the time to film this.

  • @MrDreadedbwoy I know right? How did I find a whole 26 seconds out of my day to do this? Crazy! Dumbass.

  • But the form is correct according to the book.

  • @snackersnew What book says that this is the correct way to do a lat pulldown? Throw that book away.

  • its funny b/c he has a lifting belt on...to many guys use those for the wrong reason...almost as if its a fashion thing in the gym.morons

  • @silvad33 i remember a couple of guys at the gym I used to go to in Oregon that had all the accouterments of lifting. Belts, gloves, wrist straps, knee wraps, etc. It was like looking the part was more important to them than actually lifting the weights. I remember watching one day while one of them strapped his wrist straps on a pair of DB's, then bench pressed with them. lol

  • What's wrong with his form?

  • @weightliftingisgreat you are joking, right?? his form is atrocious. If i need to explain why his form is bad, you need some serious education of proper exercise form.

  • @bigconan So tell me.

  • @weightliftingisgreat You only lean back just enough for the bar to come to the upper chest and neck area. if you can't touch your chest(which i can't do) at least come as close as you can. the guy is leaning all the way back, thats a no no. All hes doing is swinging the weight. using body momentum to move the bar. to correct his form, he needs to keep much more upright, stop using momentum to move the weight

  • @bigconan What's wrong with using momentum?

  • @weightliftingisgreat everything is wrong with it, especially when doing back exercises. proper form is to use only your muscles to bring the bar down. controlled. when you use momentum, your muscles aren't doing the work.

  • who cares about his form, the real fucked up thing is that hes working out in a fucking grocery store lol

  • @9eman9 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!! Nope...you're not funny.
