  • hey spaz, do you prefer to sample with Peak or Live? And is there a difference in the audio output quality?

  • Joe Con sample!

  • @ff7legend whats the song??

  • Thanks for the tut. bro! Always something new to learn! You are the man.

  • I like your videos fam, I'm actually doing good with Ableton Live 7, I've had it for two years now but its all coming together. I peeped how Ski beatz and Jazzy Jeff worked beats with it and now you showing how its easy also but do u warp, re-pitch, etc and then change the tempo????

  • how do u listen for your samples ??

  • nice drum samples

  • Did you double track the drums for more volume?

  • props! spaz where you get the drum kits? and yeah thanks for the tutorial....it helped alot

  • Yo brotha, thanks for the info, its starting to sink in! Ive been DJing since 84 and in the last couple of years ive been messing around with beat making. Ive tried fruity loops, reason, and now ive been making remixing on ableton and i feel confortable with this program. I recently seen a video with Jazzy Jeff and he lives by ableton. Again thanks for the info bro, your nice with the beats.

  • hay mahn got a question i know its not that hard but i just started......im already done with my beats but a lil help on how to put my beats in pro tools le...to add my vocals with it.....or in any other music software......thx

  • nice. I like that idea. I'll do a tutorial on it.

  • i got a question for you...ive always usd an mpc and keyboards but im going software...if i buy a prohram for my current little macbook when i buy my macbook pro will i be able to install it on there? it sounds like a dumb question like of course just pop the cd in but i know a lot of programs have like activation things and if u already loaded the program to one computer will it be a problem putting it on a new one?

  • it should just transfer over to the new computer just fine. but you might have to send an email to ableton and let them know that you need to put it on 2 computers/are switching computers. thats what I had to do in that same instance.

  • what version of live are you using?

  • I'm on live 6 right now. I really need to upgrade to live 8

  • thank you ..

    great tut.

    keep goin

  • hi man..great tutorial.. you help me a lot with this making music thing

well..i see that your tutorials made focus in the production thing...but im wondering if you may show some ways to use live in live performance..you know..like play and mixing samples on the fly and things like that...

    well is just a suggestion

    pease

  • is that peak free to download?

  • no. it has a pretty good little price to it if i remember correctly

  • Thanks bruh...

  • nice tutorial keep em comin broseph

  • Thanks a lot your tutorial!!!!!

  • couldn't have started without watching these. Thanks a lot my man.

any tips for recording and looping instruments like an acoustic or amped guitar?

  • nice vid, i don't see a lot of people sampling with ableton..i think i'm gonna put up a few videos soon. for chopping i like to use ReCycle - i love ableton, but the one thing i don't like (the only thing) is slicing a track within ableton. i don't like using their warp markers..recycle is better in my opinion, plus if you're lazy you can have it do it for you. then i save it as a rex file and drag it into ableton, slice to midi, and it's all chopped up for me. just sharing some techniques

  • yeah thanx spaz I just started using ableton after only using acid for a while to lay lyrics down but now i want to get into doin my on music. but i think your next vid should be of how you add a beat to the samples and also around a whole sound as is chorus then 16bars for the verse then back to the chorus know what i mean. but keep it up this is very useful..peace

  • by the way, how long have you been doing this???

  • hmm. Well I started in highschool. Using fruityloops. Then I actually went to school for music production and sound design. SO. I've been doing this for ALMOST 10yrs now. It's fun stuff!

  • awesome, thanks man! keep em coming!

  • BboySpaz whats good i like what your doing. I also use ableton live i love it!

im bout to make me a Ableton video lol check out my videos if you get a shot

  • again - a very nice tutorial. thank you for sharing! and i definitly like your tune....
