very well done, my friend. as CoryTE finely put, this really does sound like the goodbye to Firefly.

but

this is possibly the ONLY way for the show to go out. the melodies in this song are held VERY dear to every single browncoat out there in this crap hill 'verse. and the way they're brought back in Ballad of Serenity (Big Damn Movie version) is the best one, better than Sonny's, and i hate to say it better than Joss' version.

This song is beautiful, but it also breaks my heart a little. Coming at the end of Serenity's credits like it does, and thus at the very end of the Firefly storyline and our time with these characters...it feels like a goodbye.
