  • I LOVE the vertical indicator on the outside!

  • So do I, but they are now gone, and replaced with a combination lantern-indicator on the main floor, which is 3, because they have been modernized.

  • The colors are gray/G, yellow/1, orange/2, red/3, blue/4, green/5, black/6, & white/7. You can look at the West elevator video for information, and I'll make a video showing the colors. Additionally, these elevators along with the west ones are going to be modernized later this year and next year. Of course, I'll make the videos of the new ones when they're done next year.

  • who is modernizing them?

  • I think it will be ThyssenKrupp, since they did Parking Garage 2, and Dover installed the elevators for Parking Garages 3/4/5/6/7.

  • What is the color coding?

  • Not too much.

  • did it smell like hydraulic oil?

  • I was on this elevator by myself.

  • Who was with you?

  • That's right, and some older hydraulics went up to 10 floors!

  • 10!? Can you record a 10 floor hydraulic if you find one?

  • I'll try to find one, but they're actually not made anymore. 6-7 floors is the highest a modern hydraulic can go.

  • hydraulic? for 7 floors?

  • I also like Otis, ThyssenKrupp, and Schindler, along with Kone, especially their standard & machine roomless traction elevators.

  • captain elevator 42189 whats your favorite brand i like otis dover and schindler 400 A traction elevators escalator geek 881 has a schindler 400 A traction elevator in a garage

  • That's because roped hydraulic elevators travel faster with higher distance, like up to 100 feet height and 200 feet/minute speed.

  • how come there is no technical specs

  • You can see the West elevator video for the specifications.

  • Maybe the glass elevator first, and the standard elevator last.

  • When was it installed?

  • It was installed in 1985/1986.

  • Love that chime. There are quite a few of those Otis elevators with that same chime, indicator, and buttons in my hometown. I also stayed at a hotel in NYC recently, the Hampton Inn NY Seaport/Financial District, that had only one elevator (10 floors, traction). This elevator had those fixtures, too.

  • I also like those chimes, but the electronic ones aren't bad so much, especially the 750Hz gong that's used everywhere now.

  • These are hydraulic elevators, and have a speed of 200 FPM.

  • You're welcome.

  • How fast does this elevator go? Is it a hydraulic?

  • i know im not captain elevator 42189 but this is indeed a roped hydraulic

  • Thanks for this video too.

  • the to garages by my house go to the roof level

  • Will you record them soon? I'd be interested.

  • yes hopfully this weekend and there dover elevators like the one in dobie mall

  • witch one do you want to see first the glass elevator or the not glass elevator?
