    Paul

  • Hey Paul!! Awesome sounding here! You know, the lyrics are so cool. I had a professor who told us not to lie to our kids about Santa, the Easter Bunny and such things. He felt it really messed with their minds! SOmething to think about. Too late for my daughter! LOLL

    ...so i did

    He forgat...THROW UP

  • but I didn't! yeah!

  • Bravo!

    Congratulations, the Future is NOW.

  • thanks so much. and yes it is!!

    Paul

  • you know what paul, something interesting is happening here. you took a little premise which can be summed up in the hook line-title of the song, and you turned it into a very large, kick ass number with smart lyrics. speaking only for myself, as you sing the lyrics, i find myself thinking of ways we have been betrayed over the years, ways that have more to do with justice and fairness, as much as with the examples you mention. well done indeed. 5 stars of course, chuck.

  • thanks Chuck. Yeah, you get it! the whole thing about what I mentioned in the song were to get your head there, and you can take it from there. it's just a metaphor. everyone has been betrayed in their own way unique to them. fill it in. :)

    thanks again my friend.

    Paul

  • True true true and that's exactly what I was thinking too!

  • What an honest tune. Holy cowzer. Lovin the lyrics ... who of us wasn't told this shite? You're right!!

Love the hell out of this.

looky there... you've brought out my potty mouth. tch.

  • thanks so much. and you can take the soap out of your mouth now. :)

  • thanks so much for all your support Jerry.

    you're a bud!!

    Paul

  • Nice stuff, Paul--love the flying cars!--and it's got the sort of power reminiscent of Graham Parker and the Rumor or Elvis Costello or Nick Lowe...

    Thanks,

    Roy

  • thanks Roy. As a poet you realize that the "flyin' car is of course a metaphor of sorts. I'm not so hung up the the flyin' cars as the blatant lying. :)

  • great message in this song, i believe you have hit the nail on the head sir! 5*****

  • thanks my friend!!

    Wow!!!!!

I certainly can understand totally your feelings about how things have turned out:))

Love the feel and sound of this. Amazing Paul!!

  • thanks John. I'm glad (and a little surprised) that you like this!

    Paul

  • Hi Paul. I like a lot of different styles of music, and when it's good, it's good, and this is great !!!

  • This is the pot calling the kettle black. do you know how many times that is also said to me too? I am always being called on my very wide scope of tastes in music. I can listen to Bob Marley, John Coltrane, Tchaikovsky, chanting Tibetan Monks, and The Beatles all in one listening session. like you said John, if it's good it's good.

  • Great Song Paul!! I remember the 64/65 Worlds Fair We Lived There for 2 Summers Me and My Friends 15 cents and a Bus Trip.. Everything Else was Free!!!LOL!!!!The cars they had back then as Futuristic well I would Say the Closest They Came was The Delorean...

  • Hey Carl. believe it or not, I lived in the Bronx and never made it to the World's Fair. The summer my parents went (with my brother and cousins, etc.) I was staying with my other cousins in Pennsylvania. They (or I, for that matter) never made it back to the World's Fair before it closed down, and that's that. I got robbed!

  • Very AWESOME!!! You played from your heart on this. Lyrically explosive Fived and Faved:)))

  • thank you sistermoonshine13, my friend!!

    Paul

  • Hi, Paul ! Cool song again, 5* without hesitation. Your guitar sounds well (I suppose that it's a strato. But there's so much imitations...In all cases, Iile this song ! BYE !

  • thanks lorenzino. I appreciate that my friend.

    Paul

  • it's a real american strat.

  • cool paul

  • thank you.

  • quite an angry song

little bit reminiscent of Billy Joel's 'We didn't start the fire' lyrically.

  • not so much angry as disillusioned.

    cheers Chris.
