I have Dirt 2 & 3, so would it be a good idea to pick up Dirt just for more rally events? Is the handling relatively close to Dirt 3 or does it suck in comparison?

just to let you know, the handling in this game is amazing, its not even close to arcade. rally cars have setups on them to be loose ass hell, and when u brake you cant turn.

dirt has better handeling than grid, grid is so arcadish its stupid toca 3 was a good game and thinking grid would be better considering that toca 3 was awsome i was very dissapointed in grid and the crappy arcadish handeling so forza 3 is much much better and codemasters needs to get there ass back in gear with the realisim aspects of the games like forza and toca 3 was, why cant they make a game were if u want retarted aradish handeling you can turn it on or off its fucking simple...

if you want Big Rig racing.. try TOCA2. In that game, each type of car was stuck to a certain track, but there was a glitch where you could get any car on any track. Back in the day on Xbox Live I'd host Ice Racing with Semi-Trucks all the time, it was hilarious.

yeah, this game is pretty epic, but the menu can be a bit slow and calm at times, like the way that a pop up comes and says "profile succsesfully loaded!" and stays there for like 5 seconds

I made it to the top of the pyramid in 7hrs but was disappointed that the TAG Heuer Champion of champions event is nothing more than a bean counting, trashy, cheating AI so I refuse to finish it........so after 7hrs I'm pretty much bored of it although I still play Colin McRae rally 04/2005 regularly after 2 years. I know its called DIRT, but it would have been nice to have at least one event that featured SNOW & ICE

I also recently got Dirt, but I don't think I'm going to get Dirt 2. After finding out that point-to-point races take up less than 20% of the game, I decided it wasn't for me. In Dirt I hated the buggy and SUV races, but loved the point-to-point. If they made Dirt 2 a pure rally game I would get it, but they didn't, so I wont.

That's what I love about DiRT and GRID's driving physics: its a nice sweet spot between the over-the-top Burnout and Midnight Club series and the seriousness of the Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport series. BTW, I love menu interface too Mark!

I just bougth mine and it's perfect ;) Yeah, PS3 was built around a blu ray, then they added the game thing. It takes like forever to play when the game is not installed or whatever, at least a friend of mine took like forever just to let me play Far cry 2. I have it now for 360 and all i had to do was put the cd in a enjoy. It's great. Hopefully I'll get halo 3 this week and Dirt / Bioshock later

it depends what you want from online the DiRT online wasnt fun for me because your the only car on the track and you just see other racers on your minimap.

But if thats fine with you DiRT is still a great game overall. But theres a demo on 360 only that you should try out.

Yeah, DIRT 2 will be available for PS3. I hope it will work with the Logitech G25 clutch, though... So far nothing has been working with the clutch pedal aside from GT5 Prologue. Even GRID doesn't support manual clutch. Bummer!

I believe this game is not available for PS3. Too bad for me, because I only have a PS3. Nonetheless, I think that the name DIRT is appropriate. In Europe, for instance, the rallly racing is synonymous with dirt racing, so I think the choice of the name for the game is qute accurate. I guess the only way to experience the drift on dirt technique for me is to play Gran Turismo 4 at this point. Because I ain't giving Microsoft more money than they already have. I am not buying an XBOX.
