@ CoolGuy1943 thanks minimonsta certainly is one of the better plugins that really does deliver that analog feel. I still use it from time to time. Cheers
i was so pleased and hypnotised during watching this! it's so retrofuturistical and the effect used on the words "trans-europe express" just caused a nod of admiration.
@microkorger Some of that future shock/sci-fi/propaganda type of film noir WAS buzzing around my my head when I made this...yet i can't recall any one thing specifically. The concept seemed suitable to the original TEE theme: that is to say post WW2 Germany, and that retro propaganda type of German realism...which, of course, became a cinematic cliche. Dr Mabuse & Fritz Lang's Metropolis had some of those elements, I think, it's been a while since i've seen them.
@microkorger The Vocoder: yeah :) If I had a Microkorg at the time (still don't) I would have used it instead. Instead I used one of the Pro Tools effects, which I seem to remember was "Bomb Factory" not a 100% sure it's been a while--should have written it down! Thanks for watching.
LOL Well, you know, you go through life picking up certain bits that you think you might have forgotten, but in reality it's really seared in more than you realize. thanks
Hey thanks for the feedback on this one: I know...after the fact I figured it out! However, my biggest blunder was using Mellotron strings when I should have used ARP Omni--DOH!
Wow, EXCELLENT, Walt. You performed this very well. I always loved Kraftwerk's song "Autobaun," but I never (for some reason) purchased any of their albums....that was one they'd play on the radio back in the 70's. So this Kraftwerk song is a new experience (even though it's an older song) for me. :)
Hi Janet, thanks for saying that and I'm glad you liked my take on their classic. Autobahn and TEE were ground breakers for their day alright. Actually I never bought any of their albums at that time either...lack of money and a job during those turbulent years had something to do with it, I guess. :\
Though, underground radio kept diverse music here in the San Francisco Bay region flowing pretty regularly...lucky for me!
Thank you SO much for saying that Alexampler! Folks, if you are not familiar with Alexampler do check out his channel...original werks :) and Kraftwerk covers amongst many others..
Thank you so much for saying that Julie--it really means a lot to me. Well, you're right it's more fun to compute..oops er umm I think it was the Krafty boys that coined that phrase! :)
very nice analog 70s original feel.....nice clicks and pops too... very stylish

Pretty good. Maybe a little less of a swing feel, and you'll have nailed it perfectly.
