That was a great free CD, still got a copy at home somewhere. Highly worth tracking down! The double or triple pack artist album vinyl also had the rarer mix on, it's just as good IMO :)
Did Timo Maas ever do some kind of gigantic mixed song about an hour or so long? I have a CD that simply will not play any longer, and this was one of the tracks on the 'giant' track. They all transitioned seamlessly, but I'm not sure... The track started with some sort of techno-ish song with minimal vocal elements (no actual singing) and I have no idea if it was Timo Maas or some other artist...
the soundquality is shitty, i could "hardly" recognise the main motive - the brainkilling bassline, but anyway, this track is also a Timo Maas masterpice :))
Yes guys it has to be THE album from Mixmag for me. Although another good one was Groove Armada's "Essential Summer Groove". Defo check that one.
The other Timo Maas ones from Mixmag are slightly slower and far more eclectic (he's quoted as saying "I'm not just a trance DJ". The dark tune that opens "Return of the Legend" by My Toys like me: Grim & Wriggle (Timo Maas Remix Special Edit) is pretty fuct up.
Anyhoo! Off to listen to John Digweed's "Transitions" radio show now. Check out MIXRIOT
@stuntedmonk Hi,pls pls would u be able to list the tunes that are on 'dirty trancing',the mixmag cover cd,mixed by The Maaaaster? i had the cd,loved it,became at one with it,moved home and effin lost it! ive hunted high n low for these tracks, could u help?appreciated indefinetly,Janette(eviledna):)
@eviledna9 @eviledna9 Yo, I haven't forgotten, been busy. Will scan the back tomorrow at work and post it somewhere. Can you put links on YT, I dunno.
@eviledna9 I've uploaded it to my photoblog called moochuk dot com Youtube won't let me put a link in. It's the second image back on the site. I'll leave it there for a week. Let me know when you've picked it up
If you want to hear Schieber 1 and 2 seamlessly mixed back to back in a blistering set you'll need to have a look for a Mixmag (it's a magazine in the UK by the way) album entitled: Dirty Trancing mixed by the master himself, Timo Maas. My all time favourite mix from the Mixmag stable. The set is absolutely brutal. In fact all of his Mixmag albums are good: Timo Maas - Return of the Legend and Maasterpieces (see what they did there). These tunes work best in context I feel.
goodness the cd didn't leave my ears for almost six months after i purchased the mixmag with it! one of my mates broke it about a year ago and i have been looking everywhere for another copy of this masterpiece....help!?

We have a slightly different mix on a Gatecrasher Cd... That mix above all has to be my fave. But still loving this one!

This was played in BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix October 22, 2000.
A great night of trance if you can find it, probably one of the best.
